Most unhelpful airways connecting from was from medinah came to jeddah 30 minutes before fight it was cancelled. No reason or explanation was given customer service was zero. Was taken to hotel after 8 hours no food and zero star hotel had young children and elderly mother. The bunch of dogs didn't care my kids was ill no medical help was provided. Avoid this airlines at all cost over price and poor service. The flights was reschedule next days no orientation even Airports manager was disgusted how they treated the passenger's.
The Airports manager requested everyone to complain to the airline but also said nothing will get done Saudi don't care about customers.
This happened on around 10th August 2025 jeddah to Gatwick SVA101 original flight SV101.

Most racist and hateful experience I have ever had in my entire life of 40 years. zone 1 I was boarding business class on jan 27 at 845am at jeddah airport. I get in line the arab man denied me joining business class entry and waived me off like a dog and said something in arabic "hunak" like go there while waving. I'm so puzzled isnt business suppose to be first. so i gotta enter with economy and furthermore back of the line of economy.
I said whatever its not a big deal. but wait im being targeted here. so when they see my passport again and boarding pass now i tell the 2 girls that this is business zone 1 why do you guys have me going in with economy?
they follow me into the plane with a supervisor who asks to see my boarding pass and passport again at my seat in seat 1a. The entire business class is looking at me like I'm some criminal 4 people around me and all the flight attendants are looking at me like why is this guy here in first class did he sneak on? so i showed them AGAIN my passport and my boarding pass.
I even had the receipt for when I bought the tickets in my carry on bag. the supervisor wasnt targetting me. he was quiet and knew this is wrong, he was confused and looking at the girl like how did he sneak on to the plane? and he obviously checked in with the al fursan lounge and passed your counter too 2 mins ago with the boarding pass and passport. the girl just left without saying sorry. the supervisor tried to clean it up by saying I dont know what to tell you. I said whatever dude you guys just embrassed me in front of the entire plane. it looked like I was about to be arrested. everyone was gathered around me shouting is this your seat who are you? for context I'm canadian born and I'm brown skin so you can think whatever.
the racist arabs thought I was some cleaner due to my skin and couldnt understand how I had a business class ticket and a canadian passport. absolutely ignorant and rude. how do you think the 13 hours of the flight went after that? all the flight attendants looking at me sideways and not wanting to serve me thinking I was a criminal.

Saudi Airlines delayed my connecting flight by 25 HOURS, delayed my baggage for 6 DAYS, and when it finally arrived, it was severely damaged. They then refused compensation and closed my complaint without any resolution.
Their customer service is shockingly poor — no effective way to contact them, the Customer Relations email listed on their website is incorrect, endless delays, false assurances, and zero accountability.

Paid over £1,000 per seat to fly London to Jeddah return via Riyadh, and the experience return journey was terrible from start to finish. First flight was delayed, causing a rushed and stressful connection with zero assistance, despite travelling with a elderly mother and three children.
On the long-haul flight to London, 4 out of 6 seats had broken inflight entertainment headphone sockets. The onboard manager confirmed the faults, took photos, apologised, said she’d help — then disappeared. Nothing was fixed. No Wi-Fi either, so we spent 7+ hours with no entertainment at all.
For a premium-priced long-haul flight, this is completely unacceptable.
What really tops it off is the customer service. I submitted a formal complaint and Saudia closed it without even responding. No apology, no explanation, nothing. That tells you everything about how much they value their customers.
Delays happen. Broken systems, no support, and ignoring complaints shouldn’t. I won’t be flying Saudia again.

“I recently experienced significant issues with Saudi Airlines. My return flight from Lahore to Heathrow, originally scheduled for January 18th, was changed by the airline to January 28th without my consent. This change forced me to incur a £281 flight change fee, a £50 loss from a canceled Airbnb booking, and a £700 per week job loss as a school run driver. This entire situation has caused me significant financial hardship

My luggage arrived +72h late. I have been trying to open a claim in the system and the link provided by the airline doesn’t work properly and don’t formalise the claim. The company is not assuming the responsibility of refunding the expenses associated with the delay because they offer a link to open claims that DOESN’T WORK!!
I don’t recommend you travelling with them because if you have an issue you have to solve it by yourself

Both flights including change over went so smoooth. All of the Saudia staff at the airport and on the aircraft were so helpful,polite,friendly and hardworking. The flight attendants were 💯 on top of their jobs. The pilots flew smoothly and skilfully. As a nervous flyer I felt comfortable throughout and was well looked after throughout. Flight was delayed for sometime, service was not great at Jedd - with no communication why the flight was delayed for numerous hours.
Once on flight staff member ALAWI ALSUALAIMANI was really welcoming onboard and service was 100% - Saudi Arabian airlines can do with more staff like him. Thank hopefully see u again.

Terrible experience with Saudia Airlines. After boarding our flight from Milan to Jakarta (via Jeddah), we were informed of a technical issue and a short delay. Instead, we were kept on board for over three hours with no assistance or information, then disembarked and sent to the arrivals area.
At arrivals, there was no Saudia Airlines representative to assist passengers, only airport staff, who could not help with rebooking or information.
Because of this situation, I missed my connecting flight and received no communication, rebooking, assistance, or refund. I had to buy a new ticket with another airline to reach my destination.
Customer service is non-existent: multiple attempts to contact the airline were ignored, and my complaint was closed as “beyond our control.”
Very poor management and zero care for passengers. I do not recommend flying with Saudia Airlines.

Denied Boarding Despite Confirmed Ticket - 48 Hours Stranded- Absolute nightmare. On 16 January 2026, my wife was arbitrarily denied check-in for Flight SV737 from Lahore to Riyadh (connecting to London SV111) despite having a confirmed booking and arriving 3 hours early.
No explanation. No apology. No help.
The ground staff at Lahore Airport simply refused to process my boarding without any valid reason. I was left stranded at the airport until 3 AM the next morning with zero assistance, only to then rebooked on a flight 48 hours later on 18 January.
Unplanned accommodation and meal costs

This wasn't overbooking or a mistake—it was pure negligence. My wife met every requirement, yet was treated like her confirmed ticket meant nothing.
Saudia Airlines showed complete disregard for passengers. If you value your time, money, and sanity, think twice before booking with them. I have raised complaint with them because this treatment is unacceptable.
Would I recommend? Absolutely not. There are too many reliable airlines to risk this kind of incompetence.
Pure Lies from Supervisor at Jeddah Desk
While travelling back to London from Jeddah at the Saudia check in desk I was told I could not take Zam Zam water as the connecting flight from Riyadh with Virgin would not allow it.
I spoke to the supervisor on duty who repeated this and said if I would like I would have to pay the excess baggage charge which I weird as there will be plenty of passengers travelling from Jeddah and wanting to return with Zam Zam.
On arrival at Riyadh I spoke with staff and the manager on duty for Virgin who stated they do allow Zam Zam water and the Saudia staff was lying as they have no restrictions.
This was really frustrating as I had already purchased two bottles and had to give them away.
Saudia airlines have really poor customer services and clearly lie for no reason.

London to Jeddah Flight was late 4 hours. Saudia ignore my delay claim, didn't bother responding. When I chased after 5 months, got 1 line response that my claim was rejected.
Has no respect for the customers. Just take their money but no accountability.

Refund and EC261 compensation wrongly refused – unacceptable handling
Our flight SV210 from Milan Malpensa to Jeddah on 4 December 2025 was cancelled after boarding due to a technical issue. As a direct result, we missed our connecting flight to Jakarta (SV818), both flights being part of the same booking.
Following the cancellation, no alternative flight was offered and no refund was provided, in clear violation of Regulation (EC) No 261/2004.
Over weeks of emails with Guest Relations and Back Office, our claim was wrongly rejected, responsibilities were endlessly shifted between departments, and we were repeatedly asked to “wait” or open new tickets. No one took ownership of the case. Saudia repeatedly claimed that the cancellation was due to “circumstances beyond the airline’s control,” which is factually incorrect and contrary to EU Regulation EC261/2004. A technical issue is not an extraordinary circumstance.
Even the ticket refund has still not been processed, with new and illogical excuses provided each time. This level of delay and lack of accountability is completely unacceptable.
We are now forced to escalate the matter to the Italian Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC) and pursue legal action to recover both the refund and the €600 compensation per passenger clearly due under EC261.
This experience has been extremely frustrating and unprofessional. I strongly advise other passengers to be cautious, especially when it comes to post-disruption support and respect of passenger rights.
