I recently travelled from Jeddah to…

I recently travelled from Jeddah to Lahore on Saudia Airlines (Flight SV732), and unfortunately, my experience was not satisfactory. The aircraft interior felt quite outdated, and the seating was very congested, making the journey uncomfortable, especially for a long-haul flight.

Additionally, the in-flight entertainment system was not functioning, as the TV screens were not working, which left passengers without any form of engagement during the trip. The quality of the food served on board was also below expectations.

I hope the airline considers upgrading its aircraft, improving seat comfort, and ensuring that entertainment systems are fully operational to provide a better travel experience for passengers in the future.

Ne voyagez surtout pas avec Saudia airlines. Ce sont des voleurs, ils ont perdu ma valise depuis plus d’1 ans et je n’ai toujours pas reçu de compensation malgré toute les relances et les promesses qu’ils m’ont faites. Ils ne me répondent même plus. C’est le pire SAV

Par deux fois mon bagage a été perdu et…

Par deux fois mon bagage a été perdu et par deux fois j'ai allé récupérer mon bagage à l'aéroport alors que la dernière fois, ils ont indiqué qu'un prestataire viendrait avec mon bagage, il n'est jamais venu, donc à chaque fois j'ai perdu du temps de travail et j'ai racheter des vêtements, aucune compensation, pas d'excuses et fait tout pour éviter un remboursement ou même des dépenses de base, tel que la livraison de bagage.
c'est la pire compagnie avec laquelle j'ai voyagé et cela fait 20 ans que je voyage.
La prochaine fois, je passe par Dubaî pour éviter cette compagnie.

Mi experiencia con Saudia Airlines está…

Mi experiencia con Saudia Airlines está siendo extremadamente frustrante incluso antes de realizar el vuelo.

He comprado un billete de ida y vuelta desde Madrid a Yakarta con escala en Jeddah (del 16 de abril al 1 de enero). Desde el principio he tenido problemas técnicos y una atención al cliente completamente ineficaz.

El primer problema surgió al intentar registrarme en su web. No recibía el correo de verificación y no podía completar el registro. Tras contactar con soporte conseguí registrarme de nuevo, pero sigo sin poder iniciar sesión porque el código OTP solo puede enviarse por SMS a números saudíes. Tengo un número español y Saudia no permite enviar códigos a números internacionales. En pleno 2026, que una aerolínea internacional no permita autenticación con números extranjeros resulta incomprensible.

El segundo problema es aún más absurdo. Soy una persona muy alta y necesito seleccionar asiento con antelación. Sin embargo, para gestionar el asiento me piden un código que se envía al email o teléfono asociado a la reserva. Como compré el billete a través de Trip.com, el email y el teléfono asociados son los de Trip.com. He contactado con Trip.com para que cambien esos datos, lo han intentado, pero Saudia Airlines se ha negado alegando “políticas de privacidad”.

Es decir, no puedo acceder a mi reserva, no puedo recibir códigos OTP, no puedo modificar mis datos de contacto y no puedo reservar un asiento adecuado. He hablado también con el soporte de Saudia vía Twitter y su respuesta ha sido que no pueden hacer nada y que contacte con Trip.com, cuando el bloqueo lo está imponiendo la propia aerolínea.

La sensación es de total falta de coordinación, rigidez absurda en sus políticas y una atención al cliente que no ofrece soluciones reales. Si así funciona el servicio antes de volar, genera muy poca confianza de cara al viaje.

Sinceramente, una aerolínea internacional debería tener sistemas accesibles para clientes internacionales y mayor flexibilidad para gestionar algo tan básico como los datos de contacto y la selección de asiento.

Threatened and Intimidated by Cabin Supervisor – Worst Airline Experience of My Life

I am a British Pakistani citizen and a frequent traveller. What I experienced with Saudi Airlines was the worst airline experience of my life to my flight back from Karachi to London via Jeddah.

Shortly before take-off, the passenger seated next to me became severely unwell and was repeatedly vomiting. I politely informed the cabin crew and later calmly asked a supervisor whether another seat might be available. I fully understood the answer could be no.

Instead, the supervisor responded aggressively “Sit down on your seat or I kick you off from my flight, do you understand”. He then followed me to my seat, shouted loudly at me in front of other passengers, pointed his finger inches from my face, and repeatedly threatened to remove me from the aircraft, stating words to the effect of “This is my plane”. The behaviour lasted several minutes and was intimidating, threatening, and completely unprofessional. I remained quiet all this time when he was shouting on my face.

I genuinely feared for my safety. The incident was witnessed by many passengers, several of whom intervened and openly supported me. This incident was witnessed by many passengers, all of whom appeared shocked by his behaviour. When one passenger intervened and stated that his conduct was inappropriate, he responded by threatening to remove everyone from the plane if anyone complained or spoke up.
He then stopped the aircraft and attempted to have me removed from the flight.

Another crew member (Pakistani) approached me and asked me to apologise to the crew supervisor. I was deeply shocked by this request, as I had done nothing wrong. I refused.
I then decided to disembark voluntarily and took my hand luggage. At this point, several crew members, including two Pakistani staff, continued insisting that I apologise.

What happened next was extraordinary: numerous passengers who witnessed the incident stood up in my support, stating clearly that I should not be removed, nor asked to apologise. Several passengers stated they were prepared to leave the aircraft if I was forced off. Realising the seriousness of the situation, the crew supervisor changed his approach and allowed me to remain on board, and the aircraft departed.

After the flight, Saudi Airlines attempted to close my formal complaint with generic apology emails, provided no investigation findings, no accountability, and no compensation, despite the seriousness of the incident.

This experience left me humiliated, distressed, and psychologically shaken. It also raises serious concerns about passenger safety, staff conduct, and how complaints are handled. I am particularly troubled by whether such treatment is directed more commonly at Pakistani or South Asian passengers.

I will never fly with Saudi Airlines again and strongly advise others to think carefully before doing so.

Worst airline ever

Worst airline ever. Their website is not working, and I really do not recommend this airline. Customer support on the phone is extremely rude. As a SkyTeam Elite Plus member, I strongly suggest choosing another airline.

Not a reliable company

I want to express my deep dissatisfaction with Saudia regarding flight SV101 from Jeddah to London on 1 January 2026. Following a three-hour onboard delay, the flight was cancelled, and passengers were placed in substandard accommodation with inadequate provisions. The resulting 24-hour delay caused me to miss a full day of work.
Most concerning is the airline's contradictory explanation for the cancellation. My claim was denied on the grounds of "weather conditions,"yet that is not true. The pilots clearly stated "technical difficulties." This inconsistency suggests a deliberate attempt to evade accountability.
While delays are part of travel, providing misleading information to avoid statutory obligations is unacceptable. I am seeking a transparent resolution and the compensation I am legally owed.

Lied to me to avoid accountability

Avoid unless you are prepared for zero accountability when things go wrong.

My experience with Saudia on flight SV101 (Jeddah to London, 1 January 2026) was extremely disappointing and honestly quite shocking.

We boarded the aircraft and sat on the plane for approximately three hours before the flight was cancelled. Passengers were then taken to a very poor standard hotel where no proper food or care was provided. We eventually flew one full day later, causing significant disruption and forcing me to miss a full day of work.

The most concerning part is how the airline has handled the aftermath. Saudia has told me the disruption was caused by weather conditions to avoid paying compensation. However, another passenger from the exact same flight has already received compensation because the airline acknowledged the real cause was technical difficulties. This shows inconsistent and misleading communication to passengers.

Mistakes happen in aviation, delays and cancellations are understandable. What is not acceptable is giving different explanations to different passengers and appearing to avoid responsibility.

I am still waiting for a fair and transparent resolution.

If you choose to fly with Saudia, be aware that you may need to fight hard to receive honest information or fair treatment when things go wrong.

Absolute Incompetence, Technical Failures, and Zero Accountability

If you value your time, money, and sanity, do not book with this airline. The level of negligence and lack of professionalism I’ve experienced is staggering.

The Technical Mess: I purchased a flight, and a few days later they started making changes. They committed basic technical errors, including issuing a schedule with overlapping flights (two flights at the same time in the same booking!).

A Wall of Silence: It is nearly impossible to reach a human being. Even worse, they refuse to provide an official email address. When I asked for written confirmation of our calls, the operators claimed they "don't have an email," clearly trying to avoid leaving a paper trail of their mistakes.

Repeated Errors: After hours of complaints, they changed the flight again, and—believe it or not—they made the same mistake a second time.

The Final "Solution": To top it off, they called me to say they simply won't solve it. Their only "solution" was for me to request a refund, which they claim takes 4 to 6 weeks, even though the trip is scheduled for next month!

In short: They leave you without a flight, they hold your money for over a month (preventing you from buying a replacement ticket), and they refuse to put anything in writing. It is a complete lack of transparency and a total disregard for passenger rights. I have already filed formal complaints with Tawasul (Bahrain) and GACA (Saudi Arabia).

Avoid this airline at all costs.

ATENCIÓN!!! ESTAFA!!!

Atención, mucho cuidado con esta compañía porque son unos estafadores.

Te cobran un billete, te obligan a coger asientos y maletas y según confirmas el pago y te cobran, te cambian automáticamente los vuelos a otras fechas para que tengas que cancelar los vuelos pero solo te devuelven una parte del importe.

El timo perfecto y el negocio redondo para ellos. He investigado un poco y no solo me ha pasado a mí, conozco muchas personas a las cuales también les ha pasado. No entiendo como las autoridades pertinentes permiten esta estafa piramidal. Es lamentable.

Nunca te devuelven ni el dinero de las maletas ni de los asientos, etc...Es un bucle de estafa infinito. Yo he perdido 400€ que es la diferencia que no te abonan pero conozco gente que ha perdido más dinero.

Mucho cuidado con esta compañía para que no les pase lo mismo.

Denied Meals on a 12-Hour Flight – No Response from Saudia

Very disappointing experience with Saudia Airlines.
On a long-haul flight from Washington to Riyadh, I was skipped during meal service and spent around 12 hours without food or water, while other passengers were served. This happened more than once, so it was clearly not a mistake.
I filed a formal complaint afterward and never received any response. Denying basic necessities and then ignoring complaints is unacceptable for an international airline
