I flew with Saudia from Frankfurt to Riyad - flight SV180

I flew with Saudia from Frankfurt to Riyadh in economy class. Booking was easy through their website, and check-in at the airport was smooth. The seats were comfortable enough for the flight, and the cabin crew were polite and attentive specially Miss Malaka & Mr. Meshari, super hoasts. The flight departed on time, which I appreciated. The food was delicious and plenty. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would consider flying with them again. Rating: 5/5.”

Certains personnel don choquant !!

Franchement, ce que j’ai vécu avec le personnel de Saudia Airlines à l’aéroport de Djeddah en plein retour de la fin du ramadan dépasse largement le simple désagrément : c’est une expérience profondément choquante et inacceptable. On parle ici d’un niveau d’irrespect et de désinvolture rarement atteint dans le secteur aérien. Attitude glaciale, regard méprisant, absence totale de sens du service — on a l’impression de déranger en existant.

Le summum de l’incompétence ? Des agents qui abandonnent purement et simplement leur poste d’enregistrement, laissant derrière eux une file interminable de passagers livrés à eux-mêmes, sans explication, sans assistance, sans aucune considération. Une gestion chaotique qui frise l’absurde.

Mais le plus grave reste le traitement réservé à certains passagers, notamment africains.

Ce que j’ai observé est tout simplement révoltant : des comportements, des paroles et des attitudes qui laissent clairement transparaître un mépris profond, flirtant dangereusement avec la discrimination ouverte. En 2026, dans un aéroport international, c’est une honte absolue.

On est très loin du minimum attendu : aucun professionnalisme, aucune courtoisie, aucune humanité. Juste une accumulation de comportements déplacés qui donnent une impression glaçante d’injustice et de dédain.

Voyager devrait être une expérience encadrée avec respect et dignité. Ici, c’est tout l’inverse. Je déconseille cette compagnie sans la moindre hésitation à quiconque tient à être traité comme un être humain. Une telle attitude n’a tout simplement pas sa place dans le transport aérien moderne.

Avoid this Airline at all costs

Avoid this Airline at all costs! Used this airline to travel to travel back to the uk on a return ticket in February. I was getting ready to leave for the airport and they cancelled my flight in short notice and rescheduled it for 2 weeks later. I even paid for extra legroom seats which i didnt get refunded! Unreliable airline...avoid at all costs!

Customer Service Nightmare – Think Twice Before Flying with Saudia Airlines



I strongly advise everyone to avoid Saudia Airlines at all costs.

Due to a mistake made by airport staff, we missed our flight from Madinah to Riyadh, which caused us to also miss our connecting flight to Dubai. This was entirely out of our control, yet Saudia Airlines has taken zero responsibility for what happened.

To make matters worse, we did not receive a single penny in compensation or refund. Not even a partial reimbursement – nothing. For an issue clearly caused by their own staff, this is completely unacceptable.

Their customer service is beyond terrible. No accountability, no urgency, no proper response – just delays, vague replies, and a complete lack of professionalism. We were left to deal with the consequences of their mistake entirely on our own.

On top of that, after sharing our experience, we found out that several friends of ours have had similarly bad experiences with this airline. It seems this is not an isolated incident, but part of a larger pattern of poor service.

This airline does not value its customers and clearly has no interest in resolving issues fairly. Save yourself the stress, time, and money – choose another airline. I will never fly with them again.

My bag was damaged during my travel…

My bag was damaged during my travel from Manchester to Dubai in October. I completed all the necessary procedures and received a claim reference from Dubai Airport. I also uploaded all the photos and relevant details online. However, I haven't received any updates or responses since then. I have tried contacting them through various online channels and over the phone, but I have not received any reply. Very disappointed with the service.

Nous n'avons jamais vécu ça en plus de 25 ans.
L'avion avait plus de 4 heures de retard, mais sur Bangkok saudia nous a certifié que notre correspondance à Djeddah allait nous attendre quelques minutes, c'était faux.
Sur place aucune anticipation,une seule personne de Saudia gère je rebooking de 150 personnes environ, c'est une honte.
Nous avons eu nos bagages qui étaient soit disant perdus, alors qu'ils étaient localisés par airtag dans un local de bagages ... il a fallut retourner voir Saudia une dizaine de fois avant de pouvoir accéder au local avec l'aide d'un responsable, sinon personne nous autorise à aller voir s Ils y sont....
Ce sera notre pire expérience, et ce sera la dernière fois avec eux !

Saudia Airlines lost my father’s luggage, confirmed it, and then failed to compensate us even after more than 2 months. Their customer service is slow, unhelpful, and unable to resolve even straightforward claims. This is not just poor service—it’s a failure to meet legal obligations under the Montreal Convention. Terrible

Terrible. Mediocre food. Damaged luggage.
The highest price I have ever heard of for extra luggage. 400$. Long story short ( not involving me) airhosts lack empathy and don’t really care about humans. Will never ever, not even as a last resort, fly or recommend saudia to anybody. Period.

Compensation from Saudia? Forget it.

I travelled from UK to Singapore. Saudi didnt transfer my luggage in Jeddah. It took three days for it to catch up.Ive been trying to get compensation for this for 4 months now. The Saudia website doesnt work properly. I submitted my clain so many times I lost count. The website has so many glitches. Final resort is to file a small claim through the courts. Ive had enough now. Im exhausted.

They don’t even deserve 1 star, I paid nearly £700 for return ticket and it’s been cancelled and requested to refund the money it’s been more than 1 month still doesn’t get any refund or any confirmation . Customer service doesn’t even help with anything they messing around and giving false information. AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE and Airlines

Anche noi,come altri, eravamo davvero preoccupati leggendo le recensioni. Sono felice nel dire che ci siamo trovati benissimo. Abbiamo volato da Malpensa a Bali, via Jedda. Meno male che abbiamo prenotato con loro. L’unico volo che è partito senza alcuna variazione o ritardo il 4 marzo 2026, nonostante la guerra in Iran. A bordo il servizio è stato più che soddisfacente. Non si richiede alcun visto a Jedda se non esci dagli internazionali, quindi che dite? Certo se hai uno scalo di 12 ore ed esci dall’aeroporto, ovvio che devi fare il visto. Qualcuno conosce paesi in cui non si fa? Io non ne conosco. Senza parlare del prezzo altamente competitivo. Aereo pulito, cibo buono, certo non vi servono la carbonara a bordo, ed hanno pure la stanza della preghiera… ma se non soffrite di integralismo cristiano, farete una esperienza più che soddisfacente volando con loro👏

No developments regarding our lost bag or provide the compensation we requested. We're frustrated with the lack of response from Saudia Airlines, and we'll review our experience on social media and the airline's page. We will complain about this on more platforms to escalate this issue, as Saudia Airlines did not bother to reply to us, even after 1.5 months have passed, and we lost our precious belongings. worst airline experience and huge loss for us using Saudia airline, and will not use it ever again.

ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE ON DAMAGED BAGAGE…

ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE ON DAMAGED BAGAGE AND MISSING ITEMS AFTER 6 MONTHS. ALL PROCEDURES WERE FOLLOWED REGARDING CLAIM FOR COMPENSATION BUT SAUDIA CONTINUALLY MAKING PROMISES TO REPLY IN 72 Hours.
6 MONTHS LATER SAUDIA HAVE NOT COMPENSATED.
ABSOLUTELY APPALLING AND A FAILURE OF DUTY OF CARE.
CIVIL AVIATION AUTHORITY HAVE NOW BEEN INFORMED OF THIS HORRENDOUS SERVICE.
I’d hate to think what they would do if there was something more serious to be dealt with.

Opinion Saudia

Pesimo servicio, los baños tenian excremento desde antes de abordar, pique 5 veces el boton de asitencia y no vino nadie, solo queria un vaso de agua y tuve que levantarme, cuando les pregunte me dijieron que no funcionaban, no hay sitio suficiente para dejar objetos abajo y al mismo tiempo descansar tranquilo, lo unico bueno de la comida era el arroz con pollo, lo unico bueno que podria destacar seria la pantalla de entretenimiento, pero deberian agregar mas peliculas y juegos, hay muy pocas y las que hay son o aburridas o muy antiguas.

This is the worst airline I have ever had to deal with.

My flight was canceled and no one offered to rebook my tickets. On top of that, my baggage was lost. I spent more than 10 hours at the airport being sent from one department to another, but no one could give me a clear answer about where my luggage was.

Some staff members told me that my baggage had been sent to the final destination in Istanbul. Others sent me to a different department, and some told me to submit a lost baggage claim on the airline’s website. The most frustrating part is that their website does not work properly. The site itself loads, but the claim form for lost baggage must be submitted within 48 hours, and the form simply would not send.

For an entire week I have been trying to contact the airport and the lost baggage department. None of the phone numbers answer, and all the email addresses I found online do not work. I have sent many emails, but no one has contacted me so far.

If you see this message, please contact me urgently. I am leaving my contact details for communication.

I do not recommend anyone to use this airline.

I would like to report a missing suitcase and request assistance, as I am currently unable to submit the lost baggage report through the Saudia Airlines website due to a technical error. The form does not accept the information entered and cannot be completed.

My travel details are the following:

Date of travel: 07 March 2026

Route: Muscat – Riyadh – Madinah – Istanbul

Flights:
SV6083 Muscat → Riyadh
SV1467 Riyadh → Madinah
SV259 Madinah → Istanbul

My final destination was Istanbul.

However, flights SV1467 and SV259 were cancelled, and I was unable to continue my journey.

The staff at Riyadh Airport informed me that my luggage had already been sent to Istanbul. However, after contacting Istanbul Airport, they informed me that my suitcase has not arrived there and is not registered in their system. Therefore, the current location of my baggage is unknown.

RESCHEDULING MY CANCELED FLIGHT

I received an email stating that my flight to Dubai had been cancelled. I was given the choice to ask for a refund. I asked myself, does it mean Saudia is not flying at all after this cancellation? Saudia being a huge airline which has gone through noticeable transformation could not be closing down. Then why could they not give me the option to reschedule my flight?
Initially, I went into a panic! I would have spent one month of Ramadan between Makkah and Madinah. I wanted to be home with my loved ones who had gone through scary experiences.
The websites did not offer much of help. I also did not have a security code usually given when booking.
So, I chose to call 920022222.
The first was not helpful at all. If anything, I felt he wanted me to terminate the call asap. He kept referring me to Saudia airport office
The second was a lady who seemed to have a problem with her English. I had called for English option. After struggling to understand each other, I came to know that she wanted me to call again using my UAE number. This is because of the security code
Each of the above calls took about 8 minutes of waiting time and hardly a minute to "get out of the way".
The third call had a waiting time of 10 minutes. This was productive! Partly because I was calling from my UAE number but more importantly the gentlemen was speaking good English and he was definitely one that wanted to help me out. In the end I managed to reschedule my flight. Thanks to Abdulaziz Al Jahdari. His English was fluent, clear in communication and knew his job well

I am extremely disappointed with Saudia…

I am extremely disappointed with Saudia Airlines and want to warn other travelers about my experience. I booked flights operated by Saudia (PNR R8SULW) from Kuwait to Jakarta, with a transit in Jeddah. Despite having valid paid Saudi transit visas, complete documentation, and arriving well in advance, Saudia denied boarding at the airport due to a supposed temporary Saudi policy affecting Slovak citizens.
This rule was never communicated at any point during booking, check‑in, visa issuance, or in Saudia’s terms. I was left stranded with no help, no alternatives, and no written explanation. The staff simply refused to check us in and sent us away.
Afterward, I filed a refund request on 4 June 2025, and Saudia has still not provided a meaningful response. Instead, they requested a Power of Attorney, even though I am the passenger and the one who paid for the tickets. This request makes no sense and feels like an obstacle meant to prevent customers from receiving their refunds.
To make things worse, I booked through Kiwi.com, and because Saudia refused transport, I had no choice but to cancel the unused flights. Kiwi refunded only a tiny amount of taxes, claiming it was a “voluntary cancellation,” even though the airline caused the situation by refusing boarding.
In short:

Saudia denied boarding without justification.
They never provided assistance or solutions.
They ignored or refused to process the refund.
There has been no resolution after months.
Customer service is unhelpful and unresponsive.

This experience was stressful, expensive, and disappointing. I strongly advise other travelers to be cautious when booking with Saudia. If anything goes wrong, you may be left alone without support, and getting a refund or response might be nearly impossible.

Don't use - lose bags and terrible customer service!

Only gave 1 star because couldn't give zero!

Whilst the staff onboard were helpful and food was nice, that was where it stopped. They changed the schedules a few weeks before we were due to travel which meant a tight transfer times in Jeddah on our return which they said were not possible (1hr).
On our way out from Manchester to Singapore they didn't transfer out luggage in Jeddah and then took 4 days to get our bags to us. Told us to buy clothes/toiletries we needed for the first few days until bags arrived and would be re-imbursed. Can't easily claim - claim form doesn't allow you to upload receipts then refused to pay and stopped replying.
Also didn't transfer bags on return journey either so waiting 4 days again!
Worst customer services I've experienced and would not use again.

Vol annulé et aucune information sur la raison, la prise en charge est quasi inexistante (une bouteille d'eau après une nuit a patienter et dormir par terre)
Actuellement toujours bloquée a l'aéroport de Riyadh, nous ne savons même pas si nous allons avoir un autre vol pour Paris dans la journée ou plus tard...
