Well, I finally found a way to get them to replace my defective salt cell! All I had to do was fly to Australia, drive to Nerang (near Gold Coast, south of Brisbane) and bring them the dead cell. The staff at Compu Pool (parent company of Salt Pool Store) were pleasant and agreed to test it. It was found to be bad, so they shipped a new one to my friend in Sydney (since we were out touring for 10 days). It arrived today and I'll bring it home to California next week. I was pleased to see that Compu Pool was a real company with a building and lots of inventory on the shelf (many different salt cell and filter products). Of course none of this excuses the fact the Salt Pool Store is completely unresponsive. But maybe there's hope that things could improve since there's actually a real company that exists.

Scam, product leaks near electric connection, can get electrocuted, not based in Tennessee, just a P.O. Box, no communication after sale, sued by Hayward in Australia, based out of a home in Australia, civil law suit there, company has changed names many times. I contacted consumer products safety commission with no help or investigation, same for the state of Tennessee. No serial number plate on this electrical device. Total scam

I purchased a salt cell on line 6/10/25, now 7/10/25 and no cell. Called many times, when questioned about order they hang up. This site is a SCAM. Their web site says they are located in Knoxville, Tn, not true. My granddaughter works for UPS in Knoxville and there is no recorded address in the area for this company.

My story is the same as everyone else's. I bought a salt cell in July 2024 I installed it in August of 2024 It had stopped working in a matter of months. Clearly the company is a scam. They don't answer the phone they don't respond to emails. I just got taken for $400 bucks

Wish I would have read reviews before purchasing their replacement cell- it lasted for less than a year. Because it had a 5 year warranty, I reached out to them by filling out a warranty form. I also tried calling multiple times, as well as contacting them through email. That was over a month ago and I’ve never heard a word back. One of the worst companies I’ve ever purchased from.

Same story as everybody else. The unit that I paid almost $400 for failed in less than 1 year and their 5 year warranty means NOTHING. All it is is a bunch of aggravation emailing them and trying to call them and being hung up on over and over again. You you read these reviews and still decide to do business with them, then you deserve what’s coming.

The company states it is in Knoxville, but I ordered a replacement t cell and it shows that it is holding for shipping in Australia and it shows no change with Fed EX. I could have spent just a little more and had a part from Amazon in one day. No one answers the phone, and even online text and chat are dropped. I think I just got robbed. I do not trust this company.

Company doesn't honor their product warranties. Multiple reach-outs via website form and email results in no response.

My T15 cell died after a year, submitted warranty claim but have not heard back. Tried calling at different times and days, call either drops or just dead air.
This is a scam company that clearly does not support their product. do not buy anything from this company.

I stupidly ordered two salt cells from this company! The first one lasted 2 years and didn't think I had a warranty so I ordered another one! WOW how dumb! The second one failed to accurately read the salt level after 1 month! Cant get anyone on the phone, the chat is a joke, and I have been emailing until I am blue in the face! Terrible customer service and products! Buyer beware of this scam of a company!

This website is a total scam. Their salt cells last about a year, and then when you try to get support it's impossible to get any response.

I would give them negative 100 stars if I could. Their products do not last more than 2 years and they are absolutely impossible to get in touch with. You will be lucky to get more than a year out of the cell, just in time for your full warranty to expire. They claim to give a 5 year warranty but that isn't true...after one year you end up paying a discounted rate for a new cell. I have had 3 go bad within a year that were all under warranty. The one I received in September stopped working in April and they will not respond to emails, warranty requests, or phone calls. Ive waited on hold for up to 20 minutes and then Im disconnected. Spend the extra money and buy from a company that doesn't scam you and sell garbage products. Their products are terrible and their customer service is even worse. Absolutely criminal that someone can actually run a company like this an continue to screw customers over.

Salt generator lasted less than 1 year. Warranty is worthless, beware buy at your own risk.

I had purchased a salt cell chlorinator, and It was not generating chlorine to specs I returned it in October for warrantee consideration and have not heard any response from them I spoke to an agent aa month or so ago and they have still not gotten back to me. Any attempt to contact by phone is a 2 ring disconnect.

I purchased a salt cell generator from the salt pool store 5 months ago. It does not generate chlorine as it is supposed to. Their warranty department will not honor their 5 year warranty. I highly advise you not to purchase anything from the salt pool store. They have terrible customer service.

Horrible company. They don’t honor their warranty after a year of using a cell and it breaks. Then give you the run around after you get phone of someone. Then they block your number. I don’t even know how they can still be on business. Wish we would have researched them more before purchasing.

Just like all of the reviews state, this is the worst company to deal with, EVER!! Fake warranty with ZERO customer support. They act like your warranty claim is being reviewed when the reality is NO WARRANTY. Blatant lies is all you will get. 60+ days since warranty request submitted--STILL NO RESPONSE

All previous posts describing poor customer service - I take that back; they don't have customer service at all. My Platinum salt cell lasted less than two years. Despite having a 5-year warranty, they don't answer the phone or reply to the warranty request forms they tell you to complete. Their chat function is utterly useless. Don't waste your money with these guys.
