BEWARE- I ordered a paperback and received a digital copy
There was a drop down box on the webpage to select either Paperback or Digital copy. I selected the paperback but received a digital book link. I emailed them, only to receive a response saying I must be confused and no paperback or refund could be given.

So I told them there are two options and threatened to go to the trading standards and eventually received a refund. - BEWARE

This company is a scam. So cross I didn’t see the others posts. I also ordered a paperback and was sent an ebook. Company currently refusing to reimburse me. Don’t order from them

I ordered a hard copy book from Sol Books. The website provided a hard copy option, yet after placing my order I was sent a digital eBook instead.

When I contacted customer services, I was informed that they do not actually have hard copies available and that I had purchased a digital product. This makes absolutely no sense when a hard copy option is presented during the ordering process.

I explained the situation politely and reasonably and simply asked for help in resolving what is, in my opinion, a misleading purchasing experience. Rather than acknowledging the issue or offering any goodwill, they repeatedly denied any responsibility and refused to help.

As a customer, I feel completely misled. If a company does not have hard copies available, they should not present customers with options that suggest otherwise. The lack of accountability and unwillingness to address a genuine complaint has been extremely disappointing.

I would strongly advise anyone considering purchasing from this company to proceed with caution and to scrutinise every detail before ordering. Based on my experience, I would not use Sol Books again and cannot recommend them.

I’d give zero if I could. Can’t believe I didn’t check for reviews first. Ordered a hardcover, received a link for an ebook. I haven’t opened it and I am not planning to. Said they wouldn’t refund. Absolutely gutted my money is lining the pockets of thieves. I don’t have a lot, I could cry

This company scams purchasers. I ordered a hard copy book. Instead they sent me a dodgy looking ebook. I sent them a screenshot of the hardcopy book offer I had added to my cart but they ignored this. From reviewing the other experiences on Trustpilot it seems this is a tactic this company regularly deploys to scam purchasers. I have had to arrange for my credit card to be cancelled as I fear what a company which behaves this way will do with my information so the whole experience has been a complete nightmare. Trading Standards should be investigating this company.

Appalling. Ordered hardcover book & received an ebook. Sent a screenshot of the Web page (reoeatedly!) showing the book clearly displayed as a hardcover, sent many emails & rang them requesting refund & asking finally to make an official complaint, I also asked to speak to an agent & provided my tel no. However I only got repeated AI auto emails telling me to download my ebook & have yet to see a human name attached to any of their comms. Ringing is a waste of time as it just has an auto message saying they don't handle enquiries by phone, despite their website telling you to ring them! Never had such a blatant scam experience like this - I can call it that having now read the other reviews here - if only I'd read them first!

Like everyone here I wished I'd checked Trust Pilot first. Complete scam - beware. I also ordered a paperback book, exactly the same as others said - selected hardcover on dropdown, made payment, received a digital copy. Emailed to advise of mistake, they replied to confirm I had ordered an ebook. I went back to them with screenshots to show that this is not what the website said. No response.

Wow wish I saw these comments before I spent my money with them, would've saved me so much time and money. Exactly like in the comments, I purchased a HARDCOVER book to find out that they sent me digital copy, which I did not want as book wasn't for me. Tried to contact them, but they are ignoring my emails. Please learn from our mistakes and do not use them.

Emailed them, only to receive what appeared to be an AI bot response saying I must be confused and no paperback or refund could be given. Emailed them a screenshot of the paperback option and threatened to go to the action fraud people if I didn't receive a refund. Eventually received a refund. Best to avoid.

Dont waste your money on this sight -- at best you wont recieve your order -- more significantly make sure they dont have accsess to your payment details.

I’d give zero stars if it was possible. Ordered a hardback book and was told I’d ordered a digital copy. And the link I followed is still live on their website a week later, clearly aiming to scam other customers. Avoid this company at all costs

Awful! Ordered a hardcover book and was sent a digital download. Emailed asking for a refund, to be told how easy it is to access a digital copy - like I was stupid. Explained that I specifically ordered a hardcover because I wanted a physical book, but then had no replies. Thankfully my bank refunded the payment.

Book ordered from an apparent Kent book store - payment showed on my statement as being registered to Poland. No confirmation of order, no book delivered, no reply to emails…. A book club member showed me these reviews… an AI summary on google indicates this is a fake organisation. AVOID at all costs. I normally use Waterstones for a my books but needed this quickly hence ordered it. Have had to cancel my bank card. Why can’t these people be closed down? They need some reverse karma.

I was misled by Salbooks with regards to my order.
I ordered a Hard copy of, The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins, only to find after I had paid that it was a download. Not impressed by this Book seller.
And for further precaution I was advised to block my bank card in case those involved with Salbooks would use my card in some other ulterior way.

Ordered a book a month ago, payment taken out of my account 15th April. It is now 12th May and no book in sight. I have contacted them twice where it states they respond quickly, but nothing. The book was only £7, but if they do this to everyone, that's a lot of money. Wish I'd read the reviews first. Defo one to avoid.
UPDATE 12th May ... Managed to get a response by email. They stated I had ordered an ebook, which I hadn't. I have never even received the ebook or confirmation of my order. They stated they could not swap my order to a physical book. They stated they would resend the link, but needed me to confirm which book it was, even though they claim to see my order. They ignored my question of whether they actually have physical books. Now used claimback through the bank as have loads of written evidence.

Complete scam. Ordered hardcover book…received some type of ebook. Phone number has recorded message to contact by email only, email response is an automated one to say you’ve purchased an ebook. Completely untrue, in fact at the time I ordered it again thinking it had been my mistake, money taken but didn’t even receive an ebook. Absolute rip off merchants.

I wish I'd read the reviews before buying from this company. I saw a book that I wanted that was reasonably-priced with free delivery. I went ahead and purchased it, filling in a delivery address. Only after the order has been received email had arrived did I realise that although I selected paperback it was an ebook, well not even an ebook, it was a PDF. The website (which has just gone offline) showed a UK address, but the payment transaction was originated in Warsaw.
Avoid this company - that is if the website is put back up.
