The photobook quality and value for money is very good.
However, we found the process quite difficult and not intuitive.
The system we used arranged and edited the photos for us and we found it quite hard to re-edit the photos as we'd have liked them.
We did find that the photos weren't quite as we wanted in the photobook we received, which is a shame.

The whole process from instigating the design through to product delivery was excellent. The design tools are very impressive and user friendly. Communications from the company was very good for letting the customer know where the items were up to and when they might expect to receive them. The production of the items and quality of the materials used is as good as I have seen for this type of product. The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that the actual quality of the printing (sharpness of the image and its colour-matching) is not quite to the level I have had from similar products (at a similar price) from other companies. Naturally, this is a very important element of a photobook. Nevertheless, I am generally pleased with this company.

Update (03/02) - I have to say that Saal Digital have gone 'above and beyond' in their response to my review. It's a shame more companies can't treat their customers like Saal do. We have found a resolution which I am more than happy with; and they provided more technical information than I expected. For this reason, I have updated my review from 4 to 5 stars. Customer support and responding 'personally' to their issues is everything. Well done Saal!

I have used you many times before. Excellent speed and service as always.
The items I ordered are a present for a South African friend.

I did like the idea overall product. The lay flat printing, the colour reproduction and the paper quality was excellent.
You lose one star because you claim that your staff will retouch any obvious mistakes. There were two mistakes I made and they were very obvious. A red eye in the brides photo. The second one was a obvious flower motif in the middle of a photo that I missed completely to delete as I was in a hurry. But I liked the absolute speed of your delivery for 2 products I purchased. A professional line photo book and a smaller photo book. Thanks

I’ve received the photobook I created for my baby boy’s first-year journey, and I am honestly in love with it. The quality of the hard cover and the inside pages is absolutely beautiful.
I would totally recommend it to anyone who wants a truly valuable photobook to preserve precious moments and capture special occasions with loved ones. The app is very easy to use, you simply log in and follow the steps to choose backgrounds, add artwork or clipart, and play around with the layout if you feel inspired to create it yourself. Alternatively, you can use the 1-minute photobook option, where the system automatically selects the photos and creates a lovely result in just one minute. Such a wonderful way to keep meaningful memories forever

The photo book ordered looks good but some of the photos looked cut out on the page and some photos were squeezed in the middle of a flat album.

Saal digital offered a promotion of £100, therefore I decided to go for the Photobook professional line. I am genuinely over the moon. It looks absolutely fantastic and will make an incredible present, thank you so much!

The photo book looks great overall and arrived in good time. A few of the faces were significantly distorted though, even though the rest of the photo was fine. It looks as though a retouching software has gone wrong perhaps. I'm not able to use it as a gift though, as planned.

I ordered some metal wall art from Saal Digital. This was easy to do online. The delivery was quick and quality is great.

Top priority for me was quality, and Saal Digital got 5 stars for this.
Photo book options and speed of delivery where very impressive.

The photo-book is very high quality. The paper is good and the colours are accurate. The delivery time was exceptional delivering within 2 days. However if you choose the metal cover make sure your picture isn't overexposed as only metal will show there. I highly recommend buying a photo book from saal digital as it creates memories that can't be replaced. Aswell as this the customer service is extremely good as the first picture had a little mark on it but it got handled very fast.

I’ve ordered two books in the past and they were amazing, I can’t say anything bad about them but this occasion most of the photos were okay but there were 8 photos that are blurry and when I made the book the quality was very good on the pictures so I don’t understand how this happened

I've just received a new photo book and it is stunning.

However, my new photo book was to replace one where I wasn't happy with the image quality. Saal was kind enough to give me a voucher to replace it. I prepared the new one, using photos of a higher resolution. I noticed that the price was double that of the first book but thought that the first had been on special offer. I'd promised to get my daughter a wedding photo book with hi-res images, so paid the extra, on placing the order. It transpired that I'd inadvertently selected a higher all round quality book, in error. This was the same evening that I had placed the order. Unfortunately, Saal told me that I would have to proceed, or cancel and then start the order again. This was because it's an automated process. I had spent 5 or 6 hours preparing this new book, so didn't want to start again, so just went ahead.

Somehow, I had managed to select the wrong specification for this new book. It is exactly the same dimensions, with the same number of pages as the first book. The only difference is that each page is thicker.
This happened because, on the first book, the system warnings didn't show that the resolution of some images was too low. It would have been great if the layout of the first book had been saved, for me to edit with the hi-res photos, but it wasn't.

I made the error of selecting this much more expensive book because there are so many options to choose from. I thought I'd selected the top quality one the first time, but clearly hadn't.

The people at Saal have been really helpful, kind and supportive. But on this occasion, THE COMPUTER SAID NO. Having said all that, my daughter loves it. That's what counts.

Blown away, I thought it would turn out rubbish as I have never done this before! Im amazed st the quality. And everyone who has seen it is amazed as well.
