The guys were fantastic in helping me order a Yamaha electric piano for my daughters. They quickly responded and were very quick to help and adjust the order (changing few elements). Finally, the delivery was fine and well communicated. All in all-great experience and thoroughly recommended.

Mine may be an isolated case but my experience with Rimmers wasn’t great. Everything started good when I visited the store but things went downhill from this point!

For the next few days I was bombarded with enthusiastic calls from the sales staff asking if I had made my decision (3 calls from them within 1 hour on one occasion), and I eventually had to ask them to stop pestering me. Some customers may find this approach ‘helpful’, but I found it a nuisance, uncharacteristic of this type of business, and unprofessional with a feeling of desperation to make a sale!

In my own time I did make the purchase but then had to chase delivery as it seems my order had got lost in their process. So the 14 day delivery claim on the adverts actually relates to the lead time required by the delivery company…once Rimmers have asked them! I paid for my piano on 8 September and received it on 1 October.

I used Rimmers as they are an established family business and I thought a piano purchase (albeit electric) was better made with this type of organisation. Their price was also very competitive, however several other businesses that I spoke with were prepared to match it.

Would I use them again based on this experience? Sorry, but probably not.

Bought a damper pedal for my daughter's Casio keyboard and found these guys very helpful and knowledgeable. They were the first to be able to tell me if the pedal would definitely fit our particular keyboard whereas other sellers couldn't tell me - probably because they weren't music specialists like Rimmers Music. Also speedy delivery. Recommended.

The young man, Euan, who dealt with me went above and beyond. He sent me video comparisons to help me decide which piano to purchase. He was so friendly and helpful and was very knowledgeable. I wasn't pushed into anything or pestered. Everything was so easy from start to finish. I definitely recommend Rimmers Music to anyone purchasing a piano and would also recommend dealing with Euan.

I'm not short of money and just wanted an easy exchange so I swapped my Roland lx708 for a Yamaha p525 with pedals and stand. They organised the removal and delivery from a 1st floor, but charged me £900 and sold the Roland for £1800. I think they are a very mean company.

I visited Rimmers Music in Preston to collect a piano I'd already ordered online, but after spending some time with Graham, I ended up upgrading to a better model.

As a complete novice, I really appreciated the time he took to explain the differences in piano actions, features and specifications. He wasn't pushy at all. He just helped me understand what I was buying and why the upgraded piano would suit me better in the long run.

To be honest, I got upsold. The annoying thing is that Graham was absolutely right. Having lived with it for a while now, I can say it was 100% the right decision and I'm delighted with the piano.

I remember telling Graham that we were moving house and I probably shouldn't be spending the extra money. Fast forward to today, the house move never happened, I'm skint, divorced and still in the same house, but at least it's filled with the sound of this beautiful piano being played very badly.

I'm kidding, of course. That's a joke. I'm still happily married, but I do play the piano badly!

I ordered a DGX670 from Rimmers after watching how they presented and demonstrated keyboards and acoustic pianos on YouTube and this helped me make up my mind on what purchase I'd finally make, I ordered the Yamaha DGX670 and it arrived on time, well packaged,I was so impressed with it I ordered the purpose made stand and triple pedal unit.

A really positive experience and no pressure to buy anything. I knew what I wanted to buy and they were very accommodating. Because I wanted a digital piano that had to be shipped to the UK, I had to wait for the delivery. I was offered a similar Clavinova until the new one arrived but I declined. Waiting was a pain but had nothing to do with Rimmers, because it wasn't a Clavinova that is kept in stock. It arrived a few days ago and along with the piano, I got free headphones and a free double piano stool that match perfectly with the Clavinova.
I would highly recommend Rimmers for their help and their professionalism and I will probably use them again in the future. I bought it on their website and had great, funny and silly banter with them... I was almost sad when it arrived (!).
