We have booked a full “Sri Lanka” package - Sigiriya, Kandy, Ella, Galle…and ends up with relax-time at the Maldives.
It includes that everything is taken care off, but We haven’t expected such a great time with our multiple skilled driver- Chathura 👍🏻
You can expect stories about the country and culture, but you can’t expect that he understands what you’re untold wishes are!
But that exactly what Chathura does….suggesting new plans or things to see/visit, when you tired or adventurios.
We couldn’t ask for a better guide/driver…..he makes the trip all worthy!
A few suggestions though…
Train trip from Badulla to Ella - it is important that you get seats facing driving direction !
We didnt have any problems, since We were the only ones in the compartment 😊👍🏻..but just a good advice.

We had a lovely 2-week holiday in Sri Lanka thanks to our wonderfull guide Amitha.
Amitha was dedicated to ensure us a memorable trip and took care of everything: transportation, water, fruit, and - best of all - guiding with a great knowledge about culture, geography and exciting places to visit.
Also, it was a very safe experience. When our daughter went I’ll due to an acute gastro-enteritis, Amitha arranged a visit to a doctor within an hour, and even had a contact to a competent pediatrist in a nearby city, so that our daughter was taken very good care of.

We can definitely recommend Rediscover journeys and Amitha for those, who wish to visit the spectaculaire country Sri Lanka in the safe hands of a guided tour.

We had 8 wonderful days at Sti Lanka. We were lucky to have Buddy as our driver/guide 🙏👍. We felt very safe.

We went on an eight days trip in Sri Lanka arranger by Stjernegaard and with Sampat as our local guide and driver. Sampat told us a lot about local history, religion, nature e.t.c. The trip went through Singiriya, Kandy, Ella and Galle. All were nice and with Sampat taking good care of us.

Very good company, where the customers wants and needs are really the main focus. They frequently check up on you as well! Very remarkable is also one’s guide, who will not just be your chauffeur, but also give you tips, teach you about the history and so on and give examples of thing you can do (which you won’t find yourself). Our guide/driver Janith was simply amazing and had the best recommendations and stories to tell. We also had a lot of laughs with him😁

Shan is a very kind driver. He drives very safely. He was good to show us interresting places. We felt comfortable with him.

We, a group of 6 Danes, had the pleasure of having Jithendra Saman Kumara Dissanayake as a very safe, efficient and good driver for 10 days.
He is a very helpful and kind English speaking person bringing us around on this magnificent country showing authentic small places very few tourist come too - small road instead of the highway - and eager to tell about plants, birds and animals on our way, not to mention the numerous stops for tasting local specialities. He also quickly arranged for bookings outside our stipulated program.
We highly recommend you to ask for him if you need to enjoy your holiday without any worries.

Vi har haft skønne 10 dages ferie i Sri Lanka hvor vi startede i Sigiriya videre til Kandy og så til Ella og til slut Galle. Undervejs med vandring og sightseeing. Et minus var dog at det regnede noget af tiden på elefant safari og at vi faktisk ikke så så mange elefanter. Andet lille minus var at der var hindu helligdag så vi så ikke arbejdende te plukkere. Begge dele var en del af vores rejse som vi havde glædet os til. Ellers har vi haft en fantastisk tur med en fantastisk guide i Waruna som var god til at fortælle undervejs om både natur og buddhisme, som jo er hvad Sri Lanka handler om. Vi har været rigtig glade for Waruna som guide. Han har også vist os steder på eget initiativ som vi ikke selv har kunne finde. Der har været god kemi mellem os og Waruna og han har været god til at aflæse vores behov. Tak for det.

We can highly recommend experiencing Sri Lanka with a very pleasant and skilled driver and guide from @Rediscover Journeys Sri Lanka. Our guide Fernando knows the country so well, introduces so many lovely places which we never would have discovered ourselves. We felt safe, spoiled with many different experiences and in generel we felt relaxed and able to fully enjoy our vacation. Brilliant itinerary specifically catered to our needs given we travelling with two teens. We travelled for two weeks, and chose 3 nights in each location. We had constant communication with our experienced and chilled guide Janith De Silva. We had to change our plans within a few weeks of travelling due to cyclone damage and nothing was too difficult for Rasith and his team. The team were regularly checking in with us to ensure that we had everything we needed. Would highly recommend for those that want to take the heavy lifting out of travel planning!

We have just returned from an 11 days trip. Our initial contact was with Rasith from Rediscover Journeys. Rasith was responsive, efficient and even helped us make last minute adjustments to our itinerary due to Cyclone Ditwah. We felt reassured by Rasith that we could carry on with our Sri Lanka trip, and we are so glad we did.

This journey was truly amazing, and a big part of it was thanks to Buddy (Niranjan) - our guide, driver, photographer extraordinaire, companion and a friend all in one. During our trip, Buddy shared many stories and helped us understand so much about Sri Lankan culture, daily life, religion, history and wildlife. He took us to local places and we shared some amazing local cuisine together. We would not have been able to have these special experiences if we travelled on our own.

The roads in Sri Lanka is not for the faint hearted. Buddy was an excellent driver - we felt 100% safe with him. Buddy was also kind, thoughtful and always made sure we are comfortable. His warm, personable approach made the entire journey feel relaxed, fun and effortless.

Thanks to Rediscover Journeys we had a fantastic holiday we will never forget.

The guide, specifically madu, has been nothing short of great. Always on time , flexible and super nice to the kids. We got him and the company recommended and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the either.

We have had the pleasure of two weeks in Sri Lanka organized by Stjernegaard travels and Rediscover travels.

We visited Kandy, Ella, Trincomelee and Sigiriya.

Our local driver Tissa Athukorala fromRediscover travels was a pleasure be with. He proved to be so much more than driver:
-Guide taking the long walks with us to mountaintops
-Helping when dealing with locals; money exchange, tickets, hotel check-in, hospital (we had a small accident)
- “Bodyguard” when around annoying salesmen and beggars
-Knowing where to go when we had special requests.

We can recommend Sri Lanka and the places we visited, and Stjernegaard travels, Rediscover travels and especially Tissa Athukorala (Tissa is a “rockstar” at his craft!)
