We had an incredible week in Sri Lanka. We were in the rainforest then in the tea plantation then further into the middle of Sri Lanka where we did a great local safari. We continued on to Dambulla and Sigiriya. Very historic and impressive. Finally to Nilaveli to the dream beach. It was all organized by Sense of Travel Switzerland in cooperation with Rediscover in Sri Lanka. Highly recommended and great service.

We were lucky to have a very caring, friendly and helpful tour guide. He was not only our safe driver, but also a tour guide. He always told us something interesting and informative no matter where we were. Thushara, our guide, was always punctual, very accommodating and always took our wishes on board and implemented them. Nothing was missing. The local travel agency made a great effort to ensure sustainability and we saw and experienced the real Sri Lanka. Many thanks to the whole team, we really appreciate it. We hope to come back soon and discover something new. :)

Buddy was our guide for a 10 day trip across Sri Lanka and what an incredible trip we had together!

From the moment Buddy picked us up from the airport, our tour ran smoothly with everything planned and organised in advance. Nothing was too much trouble and the small gestures certainly didn’t go unnoticed- like getting medicine from the pharmacy to help with our colds and ensuring we got the perfect photo at every destination.

As we got to know each other more, buddy was fantastic at adjusting plans and ideas to fit in with what we wanted to experience. We wanted the most authentic taste of Sri Lanka and Buddy ensured we got that, taking us to local food places, hidden waterfalls and always recommending the best time to visit different places. We got to experience and see things that we wouldn’t have even known about without his guidance.

His english was amazing and the car was also spotless everyday with fresh bottles of water supplied daily. We can also highly recommend Rasith/Different Discovery who was great at organising everything for us prior to our arrival, met us at the airport and checked in daily to make sure everything was going well.

A 10/10 unforgettable trip in a country we fell in love with! We will definitely be back. Book with Different Discovery and ask for Buddy 🩷

Vi har haft en fantastisk ferie i Sri Lanka, ikke mindst fordi vores chauffør Janith trygt førte os rundt i landet. Fantastiske buddaer i Dambulla, Løvklippen, Liptons teplantage, elefanter …, og sidst men ikke mindst en blåhval😁 Gennem vores samtaler med Janith lærte vi en masse om Sri Lanka før og nu.

Wir sind mit 2 Kinder (10,12) 16 Tage durch Sri Lanka gereist. Unser Guide, Sure, hat sich bestens um uns und vor allem um die Kids gekümmert. Er hat uns an tolle Orte gebracht,hat ein riesen Wissen, ist auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen und wir haben Sri Lanka hautnah erlebt.
Er ist ein Teil der Familie geworden und der Abschied viel vor allem den Kindern schwer. Nochmals herzlichen Dank, was
wir alles dank ihm erleben durften!

Ich bin alleine mit zwei Kindern gereist und hatte den Wunsch dass ich möglichst wenig organisieren muss Und dem war so. Sehr zuverlässig, freundlich und humorvoll hat uns unser Guide Ushan an tolle Orte gebracht, alles organisiert, auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen und uns sehr viel gezeigt und erzählt. grossartig!

They made a great plan for a round trip in Sri Lanka, but most of all they did everything they could to accomedate our needs, even when they had some trobbles with another tour company.
We will especially give our guide on the trip - Manoy five big stars. He was very easy to understand, had a great knowledge of the country, the attractions, history and everyday life. He was very polite, had a good sence of humor, and was very good at listening to what we liked and didn't - so some days he rearanged the plans, so we could have the best possible experiance. We enjoyed a wonderful cricket tour in March 2025 organised by Nish and his team. All the arrangements - the hotels, the matches and seeing the sights (Elephants, turtles, spice gardens, temples, train rides and UNESCO sites) - worked out very well. A big thanks to our ever smiling guide Modi, who worked tirelessly to make our experience a memorable one; our bus driver, whose skills kept us safe on some slightly crazy Sri Lankan roads; and our friendly and helpful driver’s assistant for the flowers, keeping us fed and watered and looking after our bags. It was a great 10 days exploring this lovely country and meeting its people.

Hiruna at Rediscover Journeys helped us plan our last minute 1st time visit 7-day itinerary quite quickly. Hiruna responded promptly and with impeccable English. He arranged a van and a driver for our family of 4, following their suggested itinerary. The van was comfortable, although not all the seat belts worked. Ushan, our driver, was lovely. Always smiling and helpful. We covered the South West of SL, and the itinerary covered great places and a good variety of things. Good company with good people! A lovely country to visit!!

Starting from the always helpful and kind office team to our incredible driver. We spent this trip together with Jagath, a wonderful and extremely professional person, who spent every second of his time telling us with passion and love about his beautiful country and making the most of all the experiences we had.

The trip was planned by Meraki (Switzerland) together with Rediscover Sri Lanka: For two weeks I was traveling through Sri Lanka with Chamara Fernando, from Negombo to Habarana, Trincomalee, Polonnaruwa, Kandy, Hatton, Udawalawa to Tangalle. Chamara Fernando did a fantastic job: he is an excellent driver and guide! I visited several cultural places but also farmers, a primary school and a kindergarten. I learned a lot about this culturally rich country and am grateful for all the experiences I had during my trip.

We have had the big pleasure of traveling for a week with the guide and driver Shan. It has been a great experience and Shan is so kind and serviceminded, he has taken so good care of us, he has arranged trips, cooking classes etc. A 5 star+ experience! We give our best recommendation of Shan and Rediscover Journeys Sri Lanka.

from rediscover, modtog os i lufthavnen 2.marts25, vi ville aldrig have fået så mange oplevelser hvis ikke Sanjaya, have været med os rundt, vi skulle bare slappe af og nyde rundturen på Sri Lanka.

We have just finalised our 8 day tour of Sri Lanka, where Shan safely drove us through Sigiriya, Kandy, Ella and Galle. Shan overdeliveres by showing us sigths and places that was not on our original itinirary. We higly recommends Shan. There was frish fruit and water in the car he is a fantastic driver and good company. He knows people everywhere, 2 friends helped him so we got the best seats on our way to Kandy. We highly recommend Shan and we hope to meet him again one day

On our journey here in Sri Lanka we have had the pleasure of having Sampath Perera as our guide and driver. During our sightseeing in Sigiriya, Kandy, Ella and Udawalawa Nationalpark, he always has tackled every situation with an elegant expertise. He is a safe driver and can manage to drive everywhere. Somehow he always find a place to you in the first row, when you are on sightseeing. We have enjoyed his knowledge about everything in Sri Lanka.Sam is a very kind person with a wonderfull sense of humor. We can highly recommend Sam as a driver and as a guide.
