Great Radios
Great Radios. We use them for work to talk between two metal buildings. The only radio that works after trying several. I also take one on the Road when I am traveling for sales to keep up with the shop on issues. Been all over North America, and works great. Even when I have no cell service, I can still talk to the team in the shop. Two radio speakers gave out; I sent a quick email, and replacements were sent the next day. Easy to work with and quick service.

So disappointing
So disappointing - I bought 6 expensive radios for my family members and then found out that it would be $300/yr ($50 per radio) to keep them active. When I bought the radios they were promoted as lifetime radios with no monthly fees. Now they serve as expensive paperweights. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

These radios really made our road trip fun!
These radios really made our road trips great. They worked great even when we were states away from each other. Our grandkids, we have 10 ages 6-19, we’re all able to use them until we all got to Colorado. We used them in town and on trails. There were no drops in connection nor static. The preprogrammed radios were so easy to use right out of the box. I will definitely be buying more to expand our fun for more people. Great job living up to advertising claims! Wonderful product.

These radios do not work!!
These radios do not work!!! Not in the mountains in Colorado or North Carolina. I bought these for emergency purposes and when emergencies occurred, they did not work, leaving my family and friends in dangerous situations. They replaced radios and they still don't work. Spent one week trying to contact someone on the phone, you can NEVER reach anyone. I emailed them and no response. DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR ADVERTISING!

Love these radios! My husband took his with him on a work trip to Illinois and I'm home in Florida and we were able to use them with zero issues!! We bought them because of the last hurricane here in Florida and we couldn't get a hold of each other. They work great and the battery lasts several days

You can never get anyone to answer the phone. I have spent many minutes waiting and ended up hanging up, that what they want, not having to deal with the customer. I re-registered my 3 radios 3 wks ago, and now they want me to do it again.....

After looking into your account further, we found that your radios were renewed on the same day we migrated to our new system. During the migration, a small glitch prevented your updated service expiration date from carrying over correctly, which is why you received another renewal notice. We have since corrected your account, updated your service expiration date, and you should no longer receive any additional communications asking you to renew those radios.
We also apologize for the long phone wait times. We have recently been experiencing a higher-than-normal volume of calls, and while our team is working hard to assist every customer as quickly as possible, wait times have unfortunately been longer than usual.
We did receive your email requesting a callback. Before reaching out, our customer service representative contacted our payment department to verify that your renewal had processed successfully. A representative will be calling you directly to discuss everything with you and answer any remaining questions you may have.

Sturdy and reliable low cost communication.
The product is sturdy and works as advertised. I appreciate the fact that its only $50 per year. I bought them to help my elderly mother (in the event of an emergency) and she likes hers. So far we are very satisfied. Their customer service was top notch and went above and beyond to help us.

No Fees? No Contracts....Think again!
This company advertises "No Monthly Fees"and "No Contracts." While difficult to find, on their website is a $50 (per radio) yearly fee or your radio(s) are (get this) turned OFF. So, there ARE FEES, just yearly, not monthly. Having your radio turned off from not paying certainly seems like a contractual relationship to me, so I'm not sure how they get away with that wording either. This type of advertising is deceptive, and not nice to do to their trusting customers.
When I was first contacted by Rapid Radio to pay MORE money, I honestly thought it was a scammer who somehow found out I owned a Rapid Radio, but, it was really them...looking for more money.
When I contacted them for a return, it was too late (of course!) Sooo, customers don't find out that they are LOCKED into a yearly, per radio fee until the return window has closed. (How convenient for them.) They recommended that I sell my radios on ebay or Marketplace, but why would I give this problem to someone else or help this deceptive company earn more money through more sim card purchases and fees.
Also, keep in mind that these radios run on cell towers, so their claim that they will work in an emergency remains a mystery. Due to their tricky ads, they have already lost my trust and confidence in what they say, so good luck in an actual emergency.
Icing on this cake is that our radios had interrupting static & delays the first time we used them while camping. I wrote a poor review that (surprise, surpise!) never made their website.
Hopefully this review will keep someone else from making the same mistake. There are other, more honest companies out there.

With our radios, the first year of service is included at no cost, and after that, there is an optional annual renewal fee of $50 per radio to continue cellular connectivity.
This is not a contract, as there is no signed agreement or credit check required, and renewal is completely optional based on when or if you choose to continue service. This information is outlined on our website, including product pages, FAQs, and at checkout, as we aim to be as transparent as possible.
We understand how the messaging may be interpreted, and your feedback is valuable as we continue to improve how we communicate this to customers.
Regarding performance, our radios do operate using cellular networks, which allows for nationwide coverage. Because they can connect across multiple carriers, they often perform in areas where a single carrier may struggle; however, like any cellular-based device, they do require some level of network availability.
We’re also sorry to hear about the static and delays you experienced. That is not the experience we want for our customers, and our support team would be happy to troubleshoot or replace any units if needed.
At this time, we have been unable to locate your order in our system due to the limited information provided. These hand-held radios are an outstanding solution for anyone needing reliable, short or long-range communication without the limitations of traditional walkie-talkies. They combine the simplicity of push-to-talk radios with the power of nationwide cellular connectivity, making them ideal for both professional and personal use.
The accessory options make the radios even better. Available add-ons like charging stands, protective covers, and hands-free headsets (I have all three) allow you to customize the radios for your exact needs.
I haven't needed to contact customer service, which is a nod to the quality and reliability of their product. They did, however, recently add a slick customer portal that is super-easy to navigate. It allows me to manage all aspects of my account and customize things like the radio group and radio names.

Originally I bought Rapid Radios…
Originally I bought Rapid Radios because my wifes job took her up to 2 hours away from home and into rural areas of TN and having poor to no cell service i wanted her to be able to contact me if she needs to. That was nearly a year ago.and they worked great. Then I thought, 2 hours away was pretty good but how about from TN to San Antonio. So I gave one radio to a family member in San Antonio and the connection was amazing. Time of day doesn't seem to reduce the connection. I'm considering buying more for other family members. Truly blown away with the reception.
