Customer service skills from Gavin
Have not yet received order with Rad1 radios but the customer service was excellent so far when confirming order with Gavin .he went through information and answered questions I had. Checked on order and caught an error that resulted in oder credit. Very pleasant personality and help from Gavin . Am anxiously awaiting delivery of order to try out our new communication devices!

I purchased the rapid radios a few months ago. I really enjoy them. They work very good. I had some questions about renewal for the year and called the company. I talked to Abigail. She was very helpful on answering my questions and taking care of an issue, I had questions about the service fee every year. I had no problem contacting them. She also advised if I had any questions just to give her a call. I consider Customer Service very good on this product.

We understand your concern regarding the annual service fee and would like to provide some clarification. Every Rapid Radio includes the first year of nationwide service at no additional cost. After the first year, there is an annual service renewal of $50 per radio to maintain LTE connectivity across multiple nationwide carrier networks. This is not a monthly fee, and customers are free to renew whenever they choose to continue service.
We strive to clearly communicate the annual renewal throughout our website, product pages, FAQs, and during the checkout process so customers understand how the service works before purchasing.
We would like the opportunity to discuss your concerns further; however, we are unable to identify your account based on this review alone. We are requesting your contact information so a member of our Customer Support team can reach out to answer any questions, address your concerns, and work toward a resolution. Great product
Our company purchased these radios about a year ago. They have been a great communication aid especially when the crew is out at a remote job site.
The customer service has been great and Hailey was very quick to resolve a minor parts issue we had. They provided the repair part at no charge.

We run 6 radios at work
We run 6 radios at work. My boss retired and I didn't have any access to the account. I reached out to rapid radio via the email support options. There was a very quick response from a technician named Jared and within a couplie of email exchanges he had my account changed and everything set up so that I could handle the account. It was very quick and easy. It is very rare these days to find customer service that is simple and convenient as this interaction was it was a relief and Jared was great

We purchased 6 Rapid Radios originally…
We purchased 6 Rapid Radios originally for our church safety team and they work great! We decided to purchase 9 more and I accidentally used the wrong email. I called customer service and Abigail was able to transfer the new radios to our original account while I was on the phone with her. What a great American company to work with. Everything is so simple to maneuver around the website to manage all the radios. we even took them to rural South Carolina where there was not much cell service and they worked wonderfully for us there as well.

RAPID Radios/ walkie- Talkie
Hello, we bought these RAPID Radios/ walkie-talkie two years ago because we have a grandchildren . They had and they have a lot of fun. We did not have any problem not with Radios not with customer service.. our subscription had expired and we decided to do renewal. We had a couple questions about the type of Radios , but we saved all the documents so we didn’t have any problems. We emailed customer service with a couple questions and again they answered promptly and in full. That indicates that business is very responsible and care about their customers. We have a pleasure having business with them.

Worst experience
Worst experience. I bought 4 radios from Rapid Radio AND a Generator from them! The radios do not work consistently. Had to mail them back and they added sims cards and I had to purchase them at $50 each radio. They mailed them back and they are not connected to each other. I additionally have to email them only. They always say they cannot find my account each time (at least 5 different emails) and to make things worse you have to get the serial number from each radio from everyone to prove you bought it. Then collect them back from everyone to mail in. They all live hours away. Do not do business with these people.

We would like to clarify a few details and work toward a resolution. First, we're unsure what generator you are referring to, as Rapid Radios does not sell generators. If there has been a mix-up with another purchase, we'd be happy to help determine what may have happened.
Regarding your radios, we do see that you've been in contact with our Customer Support team. The email address you have been using to contact us does match the email associated with your original order. However, the email address currently associated with your account in our customer portal is different. During one of our previous conversations, a representative asked if you would like us to update the portal email to match your order information, but we never received confirmation to make that change. Because of this mismatch, it has made troubleshooting and managing your radios require further information to assist you further.
A member of our team will be reaching out to you directly to help get your portal information updated, review the concerns you've experienced with your radios, and work toward a resolution. We appreciate the opportunity to assist and hope to turn your experience around from a 1-star to a 5-star.

While the radios work good when there…
While the radios work good when there is cell service, their claim as an emergency radio when service is down, is highly false. Again they serve a purpose when there is cell service. Don’t know how they get away with advertising them for use if/when the grid goes down. Not to mention that if you don’t renew the radios, they will not reactivate them at a later date without purchasing new radios. Being they run off of a cellular SIM card, not sure the exact reason for this. But just another reason to avoid the radios and the company. Turned out to be another great scam. Buyer beware do some research and don’t rake their word for it.

Rapid Radios do not operate the same way as a typical cell phone. While they utilize LTE infrastructure, they are purpose-built communication devices with commercial-grade hardware and multi-carrier roaming capabilities. Unlike most cell phones that are generally limited to a single carrier, Rapid Radios can utilize AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile networks. If one carrier experiences an outage or has limited coverage, the radios can often continue communicating by utilizing another available carrier. This also means there are many locations where a personal cell phone may have little or no service while a Rapid Radio continues to work because another carrier has coverage in that area.
While no LTE-based communication device can operate if every cellular network nationwide were completely offline indefinitely, real-world emergencies are typically localized events involving individual carrier outages, network congestion, power outages, or regional infrastructure issues. These are exactly the types of situations our multi-carrier architecture was designed to help overcome.
We also wanted to clarify your concern regarding renewals. We're not sure what you mean by needing to purchase new radios if service has not been renewed. Your radios do not need to be replaced if the annual service expires. You are able to renew your service at any time, and once renewed, your radios can be reactivated without purchasing new devices.
We would like the opportunity to discuss your concerns further; however, we have multiple customers with the same name in our system and are unable to determine which account belongs to you based on this review alone.
