Exceptional Family Holiday at Villa Kermes, Gordes
We had an exceptional family holiday at Villa Kermes in Gordes the last two weeks in June. Provence Holidays are really easy to deal with and provide a great selection of properties. Villa Kermes certainly didn't disappoint with the pictures and description giving a very accurate summary of the property. The owners have really thought about every detail. The outdoor kitchen was a massive hit and the setting of many family meals and the pool was inviting and the centrepiece of the garden. Fully air conditioned and pet friendly makes it a real winner for us. The location was also perfect just a light stroll every morning to the boulangerie in Gordes. Florance the property manager was friendly, helpful and available when needed

Lovely property just outside Menerbes. Well equipped and spacious. Everything we could have wanted for a family break. Provence holidays gave good advice on booking and the whole process was very smooth with support when required.

Gorgeous Gordes
Booking was easy. Communication with the company and the representative on day of arrival/departure was very clear. Villa was beautiful, as were garden and pool. Better than we expected, would book again.

No hot water at 'luxury' Villa des Lys
We rented the 'luxury' Villa des Lys near Gordes for a week from June 27 to July 4 for approx. USD $15,000. Four out of the 5 bedrooms didn't have shower hot water for an average of 3-5 days, only lukewarm which is not acceptable. Some bathroom drains were slow and clogged with hair. Property manager finally resolved the issues only 5 days into a 7 day stay. We asked for a refund to Provence Holidays post stay and were met with a resolute 'no' only a discount toward future bookings. We will not be booking with this company again - if the villa is perfect then you are in good hands, but if there are any maintenance issues you can't be assured that it will be resolved on a timely basis. This is unfortunate because the villa is beautiful and well designed but maintenance needs to be addressed.

As we have already discussed together following your stay, we are genuinely sorry that your experience did not fully meet your expectations.
We are therefore disappointed to see this public review, especially after the time we spent discussing the situation and despite our explanations.
To clarify the facts for future readers, the issue concerned three shower hot water systems that, due to an unforeseen technical problem, were temporarily providing only lukewarm water. The remaining bathrooms were operating normally throughout your stay. As soon as the concierge and owner were informed, technicians worked to diagnose and resolve the issue, which was unfortunately more complex than initially anticipated.
Regarding the drains, with intensive use during successive holiday rentals, it can occasionally happen that siphons require maintenance. Our on-site property manager confirmed that these issues were addressed promptly during your stay.
While we understood your request for financial compensation, we were unable to offer a refund as we believe the circumstances did not justify one. Instead, we offered a gesture of goodwill in the form of a discount on a future stay, which you chose not to accept.
It is a shame that, despite our conversations, this has left you with such a negative impression, especially as you also acknowledged that the villa itself is beautiful and well designed.
We sincerely regret that we will not have the opportunity to welcome you again and wish you all the very best in your future travels.

A fabulous property
A fabulous property - the outside areas are stunning, the interiors beautifully renovated and furnished. The walk into St Remy took 20 mins. We loved the town - wonderful market, plenty of bars, restaurants and shops.
Alex, our local contact, was incredibly helpful and responded so quickly to a couple things we needed help with during our stay.

Too much contact
The house was wonderful and the point of contact fantastic, but the frequency of contact by Provence Holidays and the requests to take photos both detracted from what should have been a peaceful week away. It felt as though we were not being allowed any time to just relax and Provence Holidays' emails felt intrusive.

Tight access and insufficient facilities
More information on location should have been provided upfront! Property had insufficient soft seating both inside and out and there was only six adults.
Kitchen layout was awkward, lacked storage for food and did not have a good selection of ‘useful’ utensils. One kitchen ‘tea towel’ for six adults for a whole week is unacceptable. The electric BBQ needs to be double the size, the hood made it difficult to cook and there was no scraper for cleaning provided. The property is down a long communal drive with very narrow entrance and access gate. Turning in front of the property is difficult with one car and there is only a tight space for two cars. The ‘L’ shaped gate has a stop in the floor that is impossible to miss when manoeuvring out of the property and is approximate 75mm tall which has the potential to severely damage tyres or alloy wheels. Building work on new house next door was sometimes noisy

This is also the most suitable type of access for a property located right in the heart of the village, where space is naturally more limited. But we understand that this may be challenging for some vehicles, and we are sorry for that.
Regarding the seating, the property provides the appropriate number of indoor and outdoor seats for its advertised occupancy. While we understand that individual preferences may vary, the facilities are in line with the property's capacity.
We have taken note of your comments regarding the kitchen equipment and the barbecue. While the kitchen layout cannot be changed and the electric barbecue complies with local regulations, we will review the kitchen inventory, including the provision of additional tea towels and suitable barbecue cleaning equipment, to further enhance guests' comfort.
We are genuinely sorry that nearby construction work disturbed your stay. We wish we had been informed during your holiday, as we would have done our best to assist you at the time.

We spent the first two weeks of June at…
We spent the first two weeks of June at La Maison de Glycines. The villa was furnished exquisitely, the view from the terrace was wonderful, the host very helpful but unobtrusive.
It was difficult to leave the villa but when did we would stroll to the village for croissants and coffee in the morning and wine in the afternoon. The Markets were enjoyable as were the bicycle rides and noon lunches in nearby villages.
We highly recommend Provence Holidays as their assistance was top notch and very professional as well as friendly. We would be amiss if we failed to recommend Charlotte Konings who taught us about olive oil and shared vineyards and wine tasting with us. She was instrumental in helping us enjoy this beautiful place

This is our second year with Provence Holidays and the service and quality of properties is excellent. The house was well equipped, very clean and beautifully furnished. Amazing Villa & experience
We had booked Mas du Bois d'Or through Provence Holidays for a special birthday for my wife, inviting our children, partners and grandchildren. The Mas was amazing, and exceeded all of our expectations. In some ways the photographs don't do it justice. The service from being met by the concierge through to departing was superb.
We had also asked Provence Holidays to help us arrange a number of special events for my wife's birthday and they put us in touch with a few people.
We had a special olive oil and wine tasting experience with Charlotte, and a delicious gourmet meal prepared by Gérald, her partner. We also had photoshoot with Raina that made your wife’s birthday even more memorable.

Nous avons passé une merveilleuse semaine au cœur d'un écrin de verdure, à deux pas de Saint-Remy de Provence, une maison pleine de charme, le Mas des Alpilles, entouré d'un vaste parc. La qualité de la literie et du linge de lit invite à un repos confortable. Les équipements sont de qualité et complets que se soit à la cuisine ou la cuisine extérieure du pool house.
