This company is horrible. They never answer the phone. They have been out of business since 2024 call the consumer affairs of Florida. Don’t use protect my car.

There are very unreasonable wait times on the phone regardless of what day or time or reasoning that I call. When I opt to have them call me back, they never do.
I wait for hours on the phone to finally talk to someone (if I'm lucky) for only a minute or so to have my issue resolved. Their online portal has also never worked when I've tried to use it. The idea of this program seems alright, but my experience would say otherwise.

I honestly have my attorney do research to make sure that this was a reputable company. We have tried to get through to your company for weeks. We were actually at the car dealership and they still have not been able to get through. Hopefully my car won’t break down.

Sorry this time I am very disappointed with my experience tried to fix my truck and it got fixed but I had to wait three extra days to be able to get my truck out of shop yes your company said they would pay for the repair but could never get a hold of anyone me or the company that fixed my truck I drove 182 miles and was on hold to talk to someone and never did anyone pick up the line than on Friday had someone answer and tell me they would call the company and have it paid with a credit card never happened so I called back finally after 3 hours on hold said again they would have someone call immediately to get it paid never happened so I asked please I need my vehicle already missed two days of work cause of this and assured me that it would get paid and even assured me that on Saturday you’ll would be open just in case and no you’ll were not open on Saturday so I had to wait till Monday to finally get it paid cause again I had to be on hold for five hours very disappointed I pay on time every time you’ll take out of my account I should get the same treatment that I give this company when I first got this warranty he told me I would never have this problem but I guess they just tell you whatever you need to hear to get your money again very disappointed

I regret signing up with this company
I regret signing up with this company. It has been 2 weeks since my mechanic filed a claim and we haven't heard back from them. They don't respond to email and will put you on an hour and a half hold to even talk to anyone on phone. Save yourself some stress and don't sign up!

We are an independent repair facility. I have customers that use Protect my car warranty. Your claims department is the absolute worst to get into contact with. on February 23 I called at 4:32 pm EST and was on hold forever. I left the shop with the phone on hold @ 6 pm. Who knows if or when anyone picked up as we were gone home. I tried again February 24th and was on hold for over an hour. I called my customer to let him know I couldn't get ANYONE on the phone. He said he was coming to get his car and he called PMC and was still on hold for over an hour when he arrived at our shop. This is urinating poor service and we will no longer accept PMC at our shop. Thanks but no thanks.

First time trying to use protect my car/file a claim.
NOBODY answers the phone if you wait on hold, it's going to keep adding minutes to the wait time. Waited over 3 hours on hold.
If you op for call me back service NOBODY will ever call you back.
Definitely cutting ties with protect my car.
I've wasted $1,300 with this company.
Not to mention my contact would've cost me $5,067.60 over 4 years.
I'm lucky to have a first hand experience being able to see what this company does first hand at the time of this review I'm $1,300 out of pocket for absolutely nothing.
They'll refund the cost of an oil change but that's it.
I've had the oil changes refunded with no problems.
This is a real review by a real person.
The nightmare stories online are very very true in my opinion.
At the time of this review I've been on hold to cancel my policy for two plus hours.
That's a total of more the 5 hours with NOBODY coming to the phone🧐
In the future I'll save my money for needed car repairs.
