Great service. The editor kept my voice but improved it and made it clearer. He also was able to make comments on how the arguments I was making could be improved - so it wasn’t just about editing my grammar and spelling etc, but also making sure I was expressing my point with clarity. He also got rid of redundancies. He also seems to really read and understand what I was talking about and commented on areas I might have either been contradicting myself or repeating myself or not fully linking into the argument I was supposed to have been making. They are more expensive than other editing companies but worth every penny.

Remakable services in terms of promptness, rush arrived ahead of already short time, responsivess to special requests and quality of editing. Way of sending results is great: one clean copy and one copy with track changes, comments and references to applyied rules.

My proofreader from Cambridge Proofreading did an incredible job. The work was extremely detailed and thorough. The whole thesis reads so much more professionally, accurately and succinctly, helpfull feedback was given where i had missed a reference of repeated a quote. This was a complete overhaul of the work. After the proofreading my supervisors were really happy with the revised thesis and were happy for me to submit it. I am so grateful to my proofreader, the service has helped me immenseley. I will trust them completely in future for proof reading of papers and highly recommend them.

I have given them two stars because everyone I dealt with was friendly but the way things unfolded were a mess. I contacted Cambridge for a proofreading and formatting job and made sure to email them all relevant documents and instructions pre. the quote, so as to be certain that they could proceed. I was told yes, and that the document would be returned to me by my deadline on Monday. On the Monday it was returned slightly late but still within an acceptable time frame. The proofreader had left very friendly and helpful notes. However, he had not followed any of my instructions. I immediately got in touch with Cambridge to explain this and they said the document would be returned to the proofreader, and then returned to me on Tuesday morning. The document arrived at the end of Tuesday afternoon. The proofreader had written a very pleasant letter of apology, explaining that there had been a miscommunication, leading to him following another set of instructions in error but that he had now followed my instructions. However aside from a number of inconsistencies and oversights in his new proofreading, he had divided the lists in the document into 'tables', that he explained were tricky to work with. He warned me that in the case of such 'tables' Word can make various random breaks in strange places, as had happened now to him. Various pages of my document were now half blank or had several lines of white empty space in unwanted places, and the 16–page document had bloomed into 20 pages due to the redundant spaces. I immediately got in touch with Cambridge to explain that this wasn't viable and to underline that Word must have a solution for lists and tables that doesn't involve creating random page breaks throughout a document. I requested that they pass the document to a formatting specialist to solve the error. Cambridge reverted a few hours later (still without any apology for what had so far transpired, each time just acknowledging with "Received with thanks") and wrote that the formatting on the document produced by the proofreader seemed not to be responding, and that the file he had produced might be corrupted (something I believe was unlikely because the proofreader had himself acknowledged the issue and said that it was the result of him creating 'tables."). Cambridge wrote that their team manager would be working on the file and looking for a fix on the next day, Wednesday and that they would be in touch on Wednesday. By Thursday morning, I had still heard and received nothing from Cambridge so I decided that I would need to start again from scratch elsewhere. I sent an email requesting that Cambridge refund me. They agreed to do so and were friendly once again, and for the first time apologetic. However the crux of the issue is three days after my deadline, I have no document and in the extra 36 hours that Cambridge had from Tuesday to resolve the issue (while keeping me waiting for nothing and without any signal), they could either have fixed the "table" issue created by the proofreader directly or simply returned to my original source document and redone the formatting, from scratch. I find my experience with them to be extremely unprofessional.
