Was involved in a hit and run accident September 1st 2022 until this moment, I don't have my car and Progressive Insurance does not care.....it's ongoing case.

Another Legal Racketeering Insurance Company
On 4/19/24 I was in the process of purchasing a car and I called a local independent insurance broker for insurance quotes. After providing my information to the agent, I received an email stating that Progressive was my best option, unfortunately, there was an outstanding balance on a Progressive policy of $455.60 that had to be paid before we could set up a new policy.
I immediately called the agent and explained I never had a policy with Progressive Insurance and did not owe a balance to any insurance company on any policy. She attempted to contact Progressive to find out where they had obtained this information, but Progressive refused to tell her. So, she emailed me a screenshot of the error message she received when the quote came back to her and provided a number to call Progressive.
I called Progressive, and after dealing with their auto attendant for five minutes I spoke to James. I explained my situation, he connected me to Sondra in the policy department. So, I explained again to Sondra my situation. She asked me if someone had taken out a policy using my information. I said, I have no idea, how would I know if they did? I could hear in her voice she was clueless as to how to deal with my problem. She said I am looking, I said I have the policy number in question. After providing her with the policy number, she asked for my date of birth. Then, she asked, were you married and I said, at one time I was. I asked her who is listed on the policy and she gave the names of Stacy and Chasidy with my last name. I said, my wife passed away five years ago and her name was neither of those. I said, you have me mixed up with someone else and this needs to be corrected today because I need to purchase this car, and this is prohibiting me from getting insurance. She said, I would need to call, I interrupted her and I said, why do I need to call and she said, what do you mean? I said, why can't you call and get this resolved, why is it my responsibility? She said I would need to call the fraud division and report someone used my information to take out this policy. So, I immediately called at 4:34 pm EST and this office was closed. The office hours are Monday-Friday from 9 am - 4:30 pm.
Sondra did not ask me for my full legal name, SSN, address, driver's license number, etc. She asked for only my name and date of birth and these two factors alone determined this policy belonged to me and I am liable and responsible for taking care of this matter. I have no doubt there are other people with my same name and date of birth, so how is can it be possible this came up as belonging to me without confirming any of my additional identification information?
This is impacting my ability to purchase this car that I am in great need of purchasing. I will be contacting attorneys on Monday to pursue legal action against Progressive and all parties involved for providing damaging, defamatory, and false information about me to third parties, and much more. You did nothing today to resolve my issue only to keep sending me to department to department and giving me the runaround.

My mom recently died and Progressive raised my dad's auto insurance rate because he is now a "single driver". He is a 70+ veteran on a fixed disabled retirement income and just lost his wife of 50+ years. This did not make him a worse driver! Progressive just added insult to injury to him for no reason. Greedy jerks!

There is a reason Progressive gets such bad ratings. Progressive declared it will only cover 60 percent of the repair of my car following a parking lot incident in which I was hit by another car backing into me while I was stopped and could not possibly have avoided impact and in which the impacting vehicle could not be seen in motion or having back-up lights on before in any mirror or rear-view camera. Unscrupulous practices to avoid payment.
Worst insurance company progressive
Worst insurance company they tell you their is coverage charge for coverage and then file a claim and they go oops we never added that coverage to you and it will take days to get to anyone that can help you. Better off with no insurance then progressive

My son is in the military therefore his vehicle is just sitting in storage. So I called to lower his coverage while the vehicle is just sitting for months. and this is the response I received. Thank you for being a valued customer since 2023! Currently we do not have the option to reduce to comprehensive only coverage for your state. Try your best to shop around as much as you can to avoid these company's

Absolutely the worst
Absolutely the worst! An Uber driver crashed into my car. Uber is insured with progressive. They don't even pay all the repairs. We are stuck with all the hassle and then they tell you to take the car to a shop of my choice. And then they tell you they are not paying full price and I have to pay on top. I guess I'll have to sue Uber.

I bought a policy from progressive insurance for my 2016 Ford F150, approximately six months ago. I noticed my policy went up $408.84 for the year bear in mind nothing has changed except my credit score has gone up, so in reality my policy should go down not up, just got off the phone with them. This was their explanation for a $409 raise.”A 12 % DISCOUNT FOR E- SIGNING THE POLICY” The irony of this is that there was no mention of this at all when signing the policy, you would think they’d come out with something a little more creative before they stick it to you! Well, they really stick it in without any lube, AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST!!!!!!!
Progressive WAS the best
Progressive WAS the best. They have outsourced customer support. Bad enough but,they haven't given them access to customer data. So,if you won't do their work, as in enter profile data progressive already has, then you are stuck. This strategy has been spreading through corporations for decades. The cost savings realized by this action is substantial. Apparently customer satisfaction is no longer considered worth the cost. Especially if outsourcing becomes the norm. Where do you go when service is bad everywhere? Geico? All of us need to refuse to do the vendors work.
UNTRUSTWORTHY - THEIVES
After having insurance with progressive for almost 15 years - first time - I filed a claim - We called them exactly one hour after the incident and they said they would handle - however because their adjuster showed up 7 days late - now refusing to pay for the claim - WORST INSURANCE COMPANY - THIEVES

Rates keep going up significantly year after year, escalating higher than most other insurance companies. I've had enough.
In the past four years, I've used their Roadside Assistance two times. Both were horrible experiences. The second tow, Progressive was unable to find a tow truck, forcing me to find my own after waiting over 6 hours. Found a tow truck myself within 1 minute, and actual tow truck arrived in 7 minutes. Obviously, the tow truck companies don't want to work with Progressive. Don't waste your time and money. Go with any other insurance company.
Progressive - don’t do it!!
Fulfilling their request to continue receiving earned discounts has been a full time job. They required my husband and I to go through defensive driving despite being almost 50 yo with 0 claims or tickets. They also required my 18 year old daughter to have defensive driving and 30 hours of classroom training, which wasn’t a problem because she took both just prior to getting her license at 16yo. Apparently progressive only finds that acceptable for 2 years because now that she is 19, they require her to do it all again or we lose the safe driving discount entirely. She took an additional 6 hours of defensive driving when my husband and I did but apparently that isn’t enough either. She has never had a ticket or accident and gets the good student discount for being on the presidents list in college. But now they want me to pay another $100 for an 30 additional classroom hours in order to keep the safe drivers discount for the whole policy.
Update: I paid the money and she Took the additional 30 hours of classroom hours again, I sent the certificate to progressive 6x and despite receiving receipt confirmation, they just continue to email new declaration pages and the same bs patient schedule without the applied discount. My account auto bills in 1 week and these people are too incompetent to make the proper adjustments. I will spend another hour calling them again today. #fulltimejob

Stay away from Progressive Insurance they add people to your policy and bill you after I sent them two Certified Letters plus called them back in June 2023, this company even asked whom lives in my house which is no one business they is a corrupted nasty dishonest unprofessional company, they have wasted 4 hours of my time and sent a fraudulent billing today for over $2,300.00 and they play games with the Customer (YES I did use profanity) all of them because they are professional HOOKERS pimps in my opinion and very DISHONEST GREEDY group of Attorneys and ex Bank Executives which will all know the Bankerster have been corrupt for the last 75 years stealing from everyone, that is why the Banks are all Bankrupted which is being hidden in the MSM,,VERY NASTY INSURANCE COMPANY from the top to the very bottom, they stated they did not know whom the person they added to my policy and would not provide any documents from this person they want me to pay $2,300.00 This Insurance Company is HORRIBLE 100% RUN from them 100% Just like the Bankster they know how to steal your money and proud of stealing your money, This is a SOROS COMAPNY which means they are corrupt, I have informed this Corrupt company to not email me again now they want to charge for paper, think about all the People SOROS family has hurt over the last 50 years PLUS they billed me yesterday $2300.00 after they stated this would not happen this proves these people are 100% dishonest unprofessional corrupt and never tell the truth and they want to know why people use profanity at these very ruthless very greedy low lives people there contract does not comply with our constitution because of corrupt Attorneys and the Soros Family and the Bankster that are involved as board members what have the Corputed Bankster done to this Country raped stolen money
Deceiving
Deceiving. They sent me a renewal, it was the equivalent of an entire years payment. I was only reviewing my coverage and noticed that the $800+ fee is only for 6 months. My first 6 months was $400+, doubled my premium without any notification/ explanation. Shady business do not use!
Disolussioned customer
The customer service is kind and courteous until you file a claim. Instead of assisting in processing the claim, I was told that they were trying to prove my daughter, who was driving at the time of the accident, was living with me. This child is 33 years old and has not lived with me in 7 years. In the mean time my vehicle was reported to the state as abandoned and the storage for my vehicle was adding up; I have missed a dental appointment for a broken tooth, because a rental can't be obtained until they Progressive makes a decision. I don't live near public transportation, so a vehicle is a neccesity. Very disappointed...
Applied for business general liability…
Applied for business general liability insurance. Progressive went trough Liberty Mutual. They declined my application. Their reason was because our product is "imported directly from overseas." They were unable to explain why they only support U.S.-sourced products. I was confused by the lack of explanation and shocked about their unwillingness to support U.S. companies that import products --13% of all U.S. goods are imported.
They had also declined the application nearly two weeks ago but failed to notify me. Very poor experience. Will be giving my money to another insurance company and consider dropping Progressive in totality.
Progressive Insurance is UNETHICAL AND WORTHLESS
Progressive Insurance is the most unethical company ever. Recently my 40 foot motorhome broke down on a very busy interstate. Progressive Road Side Assistance was absolutely worthless. They got the location wrong, the could not find a tow company, they denied motel expenses because they claim the breakdown was wear and tear due to poor maintenance and so all ensuing expenses were denied, despite the fact that there is no preventative maintenance for the item that failed and all other PMs were completed annually. Progressive is a TOTALLY WORTHLESS COMPANY.
