We were very impressed with the service offered by Polar Bear Windows and this is the second time we have bought from them.
The on-site visits, as well as the installation, were excellent. We were offered different options and we were able to discuss the proposed ideas with ease. No question we asked was ignored, and we were fully appraised of what would be involved if we chose to go ahead, which we did.
The installation team - Craig and Craig - should be commended for their diligence and expertise. They arrived on time, communicated well, and worked tirelessly until the job was complete, paying attention to detail, and liaising with us regarding small details that were important to us.
Thanks also, to the office team who communicated with us regularly, and kept us up to date with how our order was progressing.

I’ve recently had my UPVC front door replaced with a composite door from Polar Bear windows. I have to say that I am completely over the moon with my beautiful new front door, it looks stunning and I’ve had so many positive comments from neighbours and friends.
Great service from Polar Bear windows every step of the way, from consultation to the finished door.
Definitely 5 stars 🌟 and I wouldn’t hesitate to use Polar Bear Windows in the future. I’m a very happy customer.

Great name .. Great Company!
I've just replaced the doors Windows and conservatory using PBW.
They blew the opposition away on every aspect and never once disappointed me or failed to fulfill my requests.
The price was competitive and I qualified for Love 2shop vouchers.
Today is the final touches carried out by their star installation guy George who managed to overcome every hurdle with a smile on his face.

Polar Bear replaced all our upper windows about six years ago, and did such a good job that when we wanted the ground floor windows and a door replaced we went straight to them.
They rapidly understood our suggested layouts, gave advice, and immediately printed the quotation.
We had high expectations of the installation day, and, indeed, it went extremely well, even though some of the windows had tricky surrounding claddings for the fitters to deal with.
We were difficult customers in that we were hoping to match the handles that were installed six years previously, but with a bit of to-ing and fro-ing this too was achieved!

I strongly recommend Polar Bear to anyone wanting windows and doors replaced.

Polar bear were recommended to me by my daughter. After contacting them a very nice man called Glenn came to measure up and give us information on polar bear windows. He wasn't at all pushy. He was on time, very friendly and informative, just what we needed. Rosie sent us a quote the next day and was very helpful. I give polar bear 10/10 for customer service.

I had windows fitted in october initially good job but i had to have fitters back to adjust windows that wernt fitting correvtly and to fit a missing endcap but the wrong colour endcap was fitted for what ever reason so have to get them back yet again

Which more care was taken in getting the job finished. Bjt i love the windows

worst experiece ever - the 6 windows we had fitted the first time only 2 worked properly - had windows fitted beginning of august and they have only just been sortred 3 months later - the door we ordered to be bigger than our other one was made smaller and now my double buggy dosent fit throught apparently they measure compasite doors diffrently to upvc but no one told us this. Its been a constant battle getting any information from them. Would never use again - lets hope there aftersales team are better if we ever have a problem with the windows

Polar Bear have done a couple of jobs for us: new windows for the living room and main bedroom and a new front door. Both times they’ve been upfront and easy to deal with, and quick to turn around new quotes as we considered different options. The installations went smoothly and the fitters were professional and considerate.

Only gripe is we could have used more notice when original lead times got pushed back (due to materials shortages), but this is very minor in the scheme of things.

Overall, very good company, would recommend to anyone.

The things they did well:
1. Fair price, in fact cheaper than anyone else
2. Professional payment system
3. Door quality quite fair for the price
4. Customer Service team, very helpful and friendly. Robyn did her best to resolve problems
5. In the end the defective workmanship was rectified and the chaps were helpful and friendly

Things that weren’t so good:
1. The work was done in a hurry due to the rain and things were missed.
2. I had arranged for them to come back and rectify some problems and they just didn’t turn up and I had to phone them to find out why. This was quite inconvenient.

Overall, the work has now been completed and I’m happy with the standard. I do feel that this could have been avoided. I had to send a fair amount of emails to justify the problems which I feel wasn’t very fair on me as a customer.

Would I use them again:

Glenn was polite, understanding and could answer all of my queries. Glenn put me at ease and is a credit to the company.

I had a visit from Glenn from polar bear windows and it was great service. He was a lovely person who took the time to explain everything and his calm nature made it all even easier. Just based on Glenn, it was a sale…where’s my cheque book!

Previous to this, the booking process online was easy

I am extremely pleased with the entire installation process. I needed a door that was not a standard size, and I was pleasantly surprised when they assured me it would not be an issue. In a month, my custom door was manufactured and installed. Highly recommend!

Friendly, honest, informative and best of all no HARD SELL BS !!!!! Grateful for efficient visit and straight talk.

After countless issues with the installation dates, walls damaged and left without informing us of the damage (clearly trying to avoid rectifying it! They eventually did) we noticed post install that the vents fall out at the slightest knock on all 3 sets of windows installed.

We contacted the company for support, they sent an engineer who agreed it was rubbish, but claimed "they're all like that". We have spent the last 4 months trying to get a resolution and the company has just repeatedly failed to come back to us, when pushed they say they'll send another engineer to look at it. Even though the first said they can't do anything to make it more secure.
I was told I'd get a call back weeks ago. I've chased several times and even threatened ombudsman/ trading standards doesn't get them to lift a finger.

*editing to respond to claims made in response* - your installers left a mess in the back garden where they never attempted to sweep the debris from install, it was a 2 days later when we did it and noted the gaps on the exterior of the property. Considering the above and the fact your installers left the premises before 3pm and made no mention of returning to rectify it and we in turn had to document photos and send to you to even consider returning for remedial repair, I highly dispute you claiming it simply needed to be scheduled.

Furthermore, trickle vents shouldn't just fall out. Yet the installer you sent to look at them stated categorically that "they all do it", additionally when I chased for an update MONTHS later your company wanted to start the entire process of investigation over because you acknowledged that you had taken no steps to do anything in the lapsed timeline. The last update I was told I would get a call back later that day / week with a choice of dates for revisit. That was over 2 months ago.

Stop try to C.Y.A. if I knew the steps to go to an ombudsman about windows I would have dragged you and your lies there by now.

We decided to replace a patio door and picked Polar Bear. Great decision, absolutely first class service from start to finish. The actual installation of the door went so smoothly and the end result is fantastic. So pleased and would certainly recommend them. 10/10

Great customer service fully deserving best in Bristol. The fitting of my Triple glazed French door was exceptional compared to the front door recently done by a nearby north Bristol rival. Mike did a great job with sealing to brickwork and tidying up after.
A picky comment, but they could seek to improve further the u value ( glass heat retention ) of premier front or rear doors through the use of triple glazing or solar glass options.

Can not recommend highly enough.
We previously had windows installed by Polar Bear and were so pleased with their customer service and after care that when the time came for a new front door we went straight to them. Again, the customer service was fantastic and we are over the moon with the door!

Arrived within timeframe given. Glen was personable and friendly, explained the product and options available clearly and concisely.

George and Mike arrived on Thursday 25th April finished Friday 26th April. They were both very professional from time they arrived to time they left. All windows and patio doors finished on Thursday, came back on Friday morning to put in composite front door. They cleaned up after themselves and done a pretty good job of it. We absolutely love the grey windows and doors, and they look very sturdy and done to a very high standard, our house certainly stands out from the rest.
