Excellent customer service from Jonny…
Excellent customer service from Jonny and his colleague. Planet Telecom took over our service following the closure of Skype, and did this seamlessly, keeping me updated at every relevant point up to the porting of our virtual number onto their system.
I would recommend Planet Telecom to anyone moving from Skype. They are competitively priced, and have handled this case professionally and with a very friendly manner.

Doesn't really work
Doesn't really work. Customer support can't resolve issues such as zero connection. I paid upfront a few pounds, got around half a dozen calls through to international numbers, but then my prime international number just failed to connect. Customer support told me they 'didn't see why it shouldn't work' Lol! I've lost the money and will be trying someone else

Thank you for your review, although it stings to read. One of the things we're most proud of here is our customer service, and it appears that might have fallen below our high standards. I'm really sorry about that.
I did request some more information so that I could investigate a bit more but we didn't receive anything back, so it's quite difficult for me to go into much detail as I can't locate your cheap international calling account.
I think it goes without saying that operating a service that offers connection for pennies can sometimes encounter difficulties (we are using cheaper routes, after all), but when we learn about issues, we're normally able to fix them pretty quickly. We have millions of minutes going through our system every month, so I can assure you it does work - it is just frustrating and disappointing that we encountered some issues connecting to your numbers.
I'd still like to rectify this issue if you'd give me the opportunity. Feel free to email me at alex@planet.uk and I'll personally look into this issue for you, along with organising further training for my friendly team to ensure that our resolutions to issues are a bit more comprehensive.
If I can't resolve the issue, or if you'd prefer me not to try, please do still email me as I will arrange a full refund - your money is not lost.

It's free but
I couldn't believe it's free and it's not. I was initially very pleased. The Planet Telecom website says it should be 2.5p per minute to a mobile plus 5 p connection but I wasn't charged by Planet Telecom. Instead, I was charged £1.50 by my provider as 0845 is not included in my phoneplan.
You have to pause to listen to a message after you dial the 0845 number, before you dial the international number. Then another short pause and I was through to Australia, calling from UK.

Lewis at Planet Telecom is a credit to the team, unlike some providers where the system is very automated, Planet Telecom prefer a much more personal touch to getting setup, working out what you actually need and what you don't before enrolling on the trial. That may seem less practical but it's actually a lot more reassuring knowing that a genuine telecoms expert is taking care of the best possible service to solve your requirements.

Massive thank you to Jonny for the exceptional customer service with regards our telecoms at Waste Cloud. Within 2 weeks a full changeover and personalised voicemail set up, along with 2 mobile app licenses. Very seamless and a pleasure to deal with. Will recommend

Having approached BT and Plusnet about setting up a phoneline to no avail with limited help I approached Planet Numbers. Wow what a difference Jonny was helpful and explained very clearly about Voip telephone lines - I signed up and within 4 hours my line was up and running. Amazing would thoroughly recommend. Used for a year. Did a great job setting phone line up initially and never had any problems with it. After a year we cancelled, nothing to do with them, we were just too busy to take calls. Was hassle free and all went fine.
