P.H Jones are a rip off!
The company is charging Dudley council (the taxpayer) to do smoke alarm testing, which comprises of them looking at the expiry date of the alarms and then doing a comprehensive test of pushing the test button. Then, after spending all of four minutes doing this go back to their van for twenty+ minutes before going to there next victim. What a waste of money! It's no wonder Dudley council are in financial difficulties at the moment. P.H Jones are made aware there are is no gas supply at the premises and the smoke alarm should ONLY be tested on installation according to the .Gov website.

Booked me for the 25/1/24 no where on the useless txt does it say all day, a time would be nice, left with no heating or hot water and i got 2 disabled kids.
Phoned up and got attitude off the lady. I've just had a safety check as well and one radiator in my daughters room is not working, filling screw is leaking so its constantly losing pressure and the 155 code was ignored and the problem is right in-front of the worker as the temp senor is leaking.
These workers as not trained and only plug in and check reading and air check, nothing else.

Yes, I've waited for almost 4 hours, cancelling my appointments on that day. And called me to rebook . This is not the first time happened. I don't mind to be cancelled,but cancel me beforehand my be appropriate.

I received a letter saying that they were coming round to do an annual check. I rang up and said that it wasn’t convenient that day. The customer service said they would come that day anyway and arrange another day and I would have to be in. I said I’d ring them again when I could arrange a day off work as I work full-time . She told me that’s not how it works that they will arrange a day. Your customer service is absolutely terrible just because I live in a council house does it mean that I sit around all day waiting for you?

Twice we have awaited in for this company ALL DAY total no show. How many times will this happen for a gas safety check?
Tomorrow they are due yet again, they have phone numbers to ring both my son & I .. lets see if we are 3rd time lucky...
Totally at their mercy because we have zero say in who is contracted to do any work within a council property.

I had the pleasure of meeting the gas engineer, Ashley today, to fix my boiler, as I was getting no hot water or heating. In the past 30 days, I have had 4 callouts to rectify this problem. Someone would look at it, tell me what the problem was,(which was I have a pipe leaking in the property, but not actually look for leak), they would restart the boiler, but not check where the leak was coming from. So the same thing would happen again. Ashley showed me what to do to make my hot water and heating come back on and also found the leak in the children's bedroom, he tighten up the pipe. Thank you Ph Jones for sending him. he is polite, friendly and well mannered. He is an asset to PH Jones!

The engineer Abdullha turned up within the time agreed and was very respectful of my property. He replaced my heating/water switch efficiently and quickly. He was very professional, polite and friendly. Very happy with the service
Dangerous bunch of Cowboys
I gave PH Jones a 1 because that’s the lowest I can possible give. PH Jones are the worst gas service company I have ever known. They book in gas service appointments and don’t turn up, I have a boiler leaking and they have said they would attend after booking in an appointment for an annual gas service at the beginning of January, Alas, they never turn up, you call then prior to make sure they are attending and then nothing, their company is dangerous and they will only be stopped when someone looses their life due to their incompetence. I just don’t know how they get away with playing with peoples lives, their engineers are mostly amateurs.. it’s best to call consumer law and rights to see what you are legally entitled to from these cowboys. It’s a common occurrence for the past 4-5 years of this kind of behaviour, they will come to your property, take a picture of your frontdoor to say they have attended and never knock the door or ring the bell. Making it look as if you are the issue… that’s what they are doing and it’s covered up by the company, they also will call you once and ring off as it will register on your their phone and not yours as proof of them trying to call you…I have let friends and family know that if anything happens to us due to the faulty boiler they are totally responsible… it’s illegal and immoral what they are doing to people and are getting away with it… I’m reporting them to trading standards, they shouldn’t be allowed to operate. I had an engineer from PH Jones come out a year ago he didn’t even know how to service the devices and didn’t know how to use the tools he was given… this ‘amateur’ was holding the chimney smoke tester the wrong way round so the smoke was filling the room and and not being drawn up the chimney and out and then said it’s not working, therefore he wanted to switch of my heating totally saying it was defective!!!!… I quickly realised his incompetence and told him to leave and got onto head office and made a complaint, they had to send out a senior engineer to do the job. It’s consistent failures which will cost lives and they will be sued. Too many of them don’t know what they are doing…..report them to Trading Standards/Comsumer Rights or the Energy Ombudsman and they will direct you in the right direction, these complaints on Trust Pilot are of a very serious concern….serious safeguarding issues going on.

Disgusting service my mom has been without gas central heating and hot water for five weeks now.she suffers copd and its making her poorly .five different workmen have been out and still the problem remains .Every workman who as been as just fobbed her off and said they can't repair due to different reasons.this is out of control now how they can leave a woman in her 60s with health conditions this way .The electric blow heaters they have left her she can't afford to run .It just seems to be a never ending problem and PH jones am not getting this problem resolved 😡

wasted time over and over and over and over again. 65 hours of waiting over 13 visits in 1 year . the call out charges alone could have bought 2 brand new boilers. 7 visits for a 50 pence washer in april. now 6 visits in december for a sensor. ph jones are hiring gas engineers with only 1 year of college then wondering why repairs take 4-7 visits? the counsil have giving these morons contracts all over the UK . makes me wonder who in the goverment owns brittish gas shares

This company is a joke , they are liars , its the second time they have lied that the engineer came and he got no access, last few months one of them came and said to me he will be back in an hour or two, but never came back, i rang their office and the person I spoke to said engineer didn’t get access, they are crap company whoever runs that company doesn’t even know what they are doing, very unreliable, i don’t know why Dudley Council use them, liars
Awful customer service encounter
Was due a service on my boiler, all booked and on the day engineer calls to say they've run out of time. Not a problem, grateful for the heads up. I call ph Jones direct and the nightmare starts. First lady advises she'll get someone out next day, great, text confirmation comes through it's scheduled for 29th. I call back and get a rude lady by the name of Carly. Sticks me on hold half way through my sentence, has no interest in giving customers a nice friendly experience. So frustrating when you know if the service isn't done soon your gas will be shut off and without heating and hot water soon enough. Finally she comes back and when asked why she put me on hold while I was talking, grumpily replied, I'm not arguing with you. Which is fine I don't want an argument I want an honest friendly conversation to organise a boiler service before Xmas and before I'm left without gas over Xmas and having to arrange an emergency repair.

Enquiry was responded to quite quickly. Elle was able to give me an update on the outstanding job. Would have scored the chat with 5 stars if the customers name was used (makes it more personalised). Also we could have been offered temporary heating whilst waiting for an engineer especially as the customer is vulnerable.

As arranged by my landlord, they were due for an annual check on my boiler, but didn't turn up. They didn't notify me of an issue or reason why they could not attend. This is not the first time PH Jones have not attended my property when they were supposed to. If I was looking for a contractor these charlatans would not even make it on the back-up list of possibilities.
They should be ashamed of themselves & the service they are supposed to, but consistently fail to provide!!
