Absolute an disaster to deal with went into petworld to buy a rabbit last sunday and the staff member was impossible to deal with i was interested in one if the baby rabbits and she said i would have to buy 2 at a cost of âŹ120 then i said no i just want one rabbit sgd continued to argue with me and question me eventually i seen a black rabbit she was beautiful so i settled with her then i asked for 3 goldfish she continued to question me had i a filter i said no she said i can only sell 1 so .then she said have you rabbit food i said yes timothy hay and other rabbit food she said the rabbit had to eat these mint cereal i said okay for âŹ11 i just seen in tesco the same food is âŹ5.50 .Now i know why i was the only person in the shop.I wont be back to buy anything .Terrible experience

Our house was infested with fleas. I ordered 4 flea floggers on Tuesday night. They did not arrive until Monday in the following week. I try to buy from an Irish company but I have been let down with very slow postage. I should have stuck with amazon. Pity to see another Irish company encouraging us to buy outside of the country due to poor management of the business.
Appalling practice should be shut down
Appalling practice should be shut down. Went in there 2 weeks ago and all their fish are diseased and yet they were still selling them without a care in the world , I overheard them speaking to a staff member who seemed concerned and confused as they seemed to be feeding the fish and were shut down by another member they are fine and are just 'adjusting'. The rabbits are confined in small aquariums and one looked very unwell with a visible issue on the eye and yet no concern from staff saying he just always has a 'weepy eye' also counted multiple rabbits squeezed into one glass box and have no doubt there is far more severe negligence behind the scenes as others have also commented in the reviews on how negligent and abusive they are. Lastly, staff were incredibly rude bar whoever was manning the till. Should be investigated and shut down by local authorities. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SHOP

I was in there today and asked about guinea pigs. I was told they had two females. I said âexcellentâ because I have two males, several outdoor hutches, and this is exactly what Iâm looking for as part of a long-term project (not breeding for selling).
Immediately, a staff member told me I could not buy them â and that if they knew I had males and females they would have to call the Department of Agriculture to report me.
This store has seriously confused its role. Staff members are not government officials. Refusing a sale over genuine welfare concerns is one thing â but threatening to report someone simply for owning both male and female guinea pigs is completely inappropriate and out of line.
There was no suggestion of cruelty, neglect, or commercial breeding. Just responsible ownership and a long-term plan.
Of note. I've 35 years experience in the pet, aquaculture and horticulture industries.
Very disappointing experience, shame my 9 year son was with me too.

If I could give zero stars I would. Knowing the festive season would be busy I ordered early. Waited and waited. Sent emails. No reply. Eventually got a reply to one of the many emails. Received a call promising delivery by the weekend before Christmas. Alas it didnât arrive by then. First time trying them to support local - NEVER AGAIN!

Sent a text by petworld in November saying I've bought 8 bags of premium dog food from them at a cost of nearly 500 euro and my next purchase would come with a free bag. Went to the shop in tallaght lidl complex and purchased my next bag, showed the text to the store employee and she said il have to get confirmation from head office to verify the text is genuine đ€. Like I'm some sort of scammer. She couldn't get through to her own head office. I said it doesn't matter, il come back again. She took my details and said they'd be in touch. Never heard a thing back. I've since bought 3 bags which brings me to 11 bags and still no free bag. Been back to the shop twice to enquire where my free bag is and just get stonewalled with apathy negativity and total disinterest in my enquiry. Just to add insult there's big picture on the shop front with a lovely looking dog saying buy nine get a free bag đ. Avoid this shop like the plague, not the shop floor staff fault. They couldn't have been more helpful. I'd put it down to overpaid piss poor middle managers who don't give a toss about the business. Just in it for the paycheck đâđŠșđ€
Express delivery scam
EDIT 8th DECEMBER: Parcel has still not arrived over a week now for âexpress deliveryâ still no reply via email from company!
Ordered on Monday 1st December paid for express delivery, emailed on monday 4th December as my parcel still had not been shipped, I received no reply but shortly received a email to say an post had received my order. It is now the Saturday 6th December post man has been and gone and still no delivery. I paid extra for express delivery and IF it gets delivered on Monday 8th December that will be a full week. Donât understand how this is âexpress deliveryâ . I have emailed a second time and still no reply! Wouldnât recommend! Poor customer service.
Service just not good enough
I have had a bad experience with my last two orders. Both had major delivery issues. The first one wasn't dispatched because of an apparent glitch in the system, and now the most recent, as well as being very slow in delivery due to the courier service they use, also left me short half my order. Very hard for me to recommend with this kind of service.

Purchased a Large Cat Kennel with flap, online, from Perworld.ie. Arrived promptly by Courier. Easy to assemble diy. Lovely looking Wood. Sturdy and Weatherproof. Easy to clean as Roof lifts off. Kennel was competitively priced and I am very happy with this product.

Pet carrier replacement
I had ordered a pet carrier and it sadly arrived damaged. I sent an email with a photo of proof and a new carrier was sent out the same day! This was super fast and customer service was super friendly and pleasant to deal with. I can highly recommend!

My name is Melvil Rebello, I am regular customer with Petworld at both galway branch Terryland and knocknacarra.
I wanted to bring to your attention I am being mentally harrast several times by Petworld employer PIERCE (Petworld Terryland branch). He is extremely rude and disrespectful.
I personally believe Petworld (Terryland branch) staff PIERCE is RACIST and targeting me every time I visit the store, rest all empplpyer are very good respectful and humble.
Last month I did like 2 male canary birds at Petworld (Terryland branch), however Petworld staff PIERCE informed me that these two red colour male are booked by some lady.
They are on hold for one week till the lady comes and collect it.
I did called Petworld staff, and a lady told me that the 2 male birds are available and I can come and collect it. I did informed her that PIERCE told they are on hold.
She double confirmed that I can come and collect it. After a long drive I reached the store I did requested for the birds from Petworld staff PIERCE.
He was extremely rude to me and told me, he need to speak to the lady staff who was on break. PIERCE called the staff lady who was on lunch break.
After speaking with her Petworld staff PIERCE told me in very RUDE tone the birds are on HOLD again. If you want the birds you need to give your name for booking.
Hence I gave my name so that if new stock arrive I will be purchasing them. I got a call from Petworld lady staff there is one Male canary bird available and If interested book it. Hence I came to Petworld Terryland and purchased the bird.
I went to the Petworld at Terryland AFTER A MONTH to purchase another bird. After placing the order while the lady was about the pack the bird. Petworld staff PIERCE arrive
from no where and say to me WE ARE NOT GOING TO SELL YOU ANY BIRDS IN FUTURE. HE SAID I DON'T CARE YOU CAN TALK TO THE MANAGER. I have my friend as a witness.
I tried to ask for the reason PIERCE kept saying last time you came to buy birds which were booked by tricking. I tried to ask him detail but he refused from answering.
I personally feel Petworld staff PIERCE has some serious personal problem in life and need a break from work or he is targeting me because I am BLACK skin and is RACIST.
PIERCE always very rude and disrespectful to me. I request some senior staff of Petworld to look into this.

Missing order.
I ordered dog food as I'm low. Couriers sent email to say they delivered it on Friday and was signed for. No parcel. I don't know why any company would use Fastway as their courier! Contacted petworld by email on Friday and today by messenger, no reply from them. Won't be using this company again. I've had to order more food from petstop. I'd rather pay the extra few euros for a better service!!
