I really struggled during the exam as I…
I really struggled during the exam as I was aware I was not allowed to speak out loud but this is the only way I can take information in so I felt I struggled with the questions. I feel I would have scored more if I was able to talk during the exam, after all the examiner knew I was in the room alone.
1 star
1 star – PeopleCert should study its own service management material
I genuinely cannot believe this is the level of service from a company that literally teaches people about service management, incident handling, service requests, customer experience, and continual improvement.
My exam experience was a complete mess from start to finish.
I was trying to complete the mandatory PeopleCert compatibility check before my exam. The system showed green checks for Browser, Operating System, and Screen Setup. Everything on the screen indicated that my system had passed those checks.
But the “Next step” button stayed greyed out and disabled, which meant I could not proceed to Audio, Camera, or Internet Connection.
I was not using a corporate network. I was not on a VPN. I was not behind some unusual enterprise firewall. I was on my personal home PC connected by wired Ethernet to my residential ISP.
I restarted the browser, retried the test, checked permissions, inspected Chrome developer tools, checked the Network tab, and confirmed that the visible requests were returning HTTP 200. There was no obvious failed browser request explaining why their own interface refused to continue.
The best part? PeopleCert’s own documentation says that when the System Integrity checks complete successfully, the Next button should become active.
Mine did not.
So their own software was visibly contradicting their own documented process.
Then came the customer service experience.
I tried getting help by phone and online support while the exam issue was happening. I spent over an hour waiting for assistance, while my scheduled exam time was being wasted because of a problem with their system.
When I finally received a response, instead of actually investigating the issue, I got generic troubleshooting telling me to check whether I was on a corporate network, try a guest network, use a hotspot, check VPN settings, restart the application, whitelist ExamShield, etc.
I had already made it clear that I was on a normal home wired internet connection.
In other words: the system was broken, I had screenshots proving that all visible compatibility checks were green, the Next button was still disabled, and the response I received was basically a copy-paste troubleshooting checklist.
No meaningful diagnosis.
No urgent escalation.
No one actually looking at the obvious contradiction on the compatibility screen.
No timely support while the exam window was being wasted.
I also discovered that other candidates have publicly reported very similar compatibility problems, including greyed-out navigation buttons and hours wasted trying to get support.
This is what makes the whole thing almost comical.
PeopleCert sells certifications that teach organizations how to handle incidents, service requests, customer communication, escalation, service quality, and continual improvement.
Yet when their own candidate has an incident preventing access to an exam, their apparent process is:
Customer: “Your system passed all three checks but the Next button is disabled.”
PeopleCert: “Have you tried checking your internet?”
That is not incident management.
That is not good service request management.
That is not a good customer experience.
It is a perfect example of an organization failing to practice what it teaches.
I prepared for this exam, scheduled my time around it, was ready to take it, and then lost a significant amount of time because their platform would not let me proceed and their support was not available when it actually mattered.
A candidate should not have to open browser developer tools, inspect network requests, collect technical evidence, take screenshots, chase multiple support channels, and spend hours proving that a company’s own exam platform is malfunctioning.
And when the problem is on the vendor’s side, the candidate should not have to worry about losing a voucher, being marked as a no-show, paying rescheduling fees, or wasting even more time.
The irony of receiving this kind of service from PeopleCert of all companies is honestly hard to overstate.
If you are going to certify people in service management, maybe start by providing competent service management yourselves.
I had a great experience taking my exam…
I had a great experience taking my exam through PeopleCert. The online exam application was stable, and the guidelines for setting up my room were very clear. My online proctor was polite, professional, and helped me get started without any unnecessary stress. The entire exam process ran seamlessly from start to finish.
The exam questions were new but in line…
The exam questions were new but in line with the course. The procedure with the tudor feels a bit extreme though. The UX of the exam is good.
Intuitive and simply human
Intuitive and simple navigation, friendly and human proctor, overall a very positive experience.
It was a great experience.
The check-in and camera verification…
The check-in and camera verification was bit too much, camera angle, "I want to see the door", etc.
Dozent war super und hat Lerninhalt…
Dozent war super und hat Lerninhalt sehr gut und verständlich übermittelt
Very good proctor exam experience
Very good proctor exam experience. The initial instructions were exhaustive and detailed and there's always prompt support and assistance for technical issues during the exam. The overall user exam experience is good, and the exam environment is simple and intuitive.
Ease of logging and study materials

It was seamless experience and doesn't have any interruptions while taking exam.
Overall a good experience
It was good. There was a slight glitch in the middle of the exam that kind of gave a shock but it was all good then till the end.
