We’ve been around for 55 years now, so we know just how much value our customers put on their animals. They’re not just for birthdays, or for Christmas – they’re part of the family. And, being a family run business ourselves, we know just how important the concept of family is. We currently trade from a 6000 sq ft warehouse on Cleveland Street and a 1800 sq ft superstore in Anlaby, and stock a wide range of products for all kinds of animals – from spiders to stallions, chickens to chameleons and, of course, the trusty dog and cat!

The price is competitive, customer service didn’t match

Had to go to the store twice because even though I was told it would be there on Saturday afternoon, it didn’t arrive until Sunday afternoon. I never received the text to tell me that it was ready for collection. My 87 year old father went the second time, and reported that no one would help him lift the 12.5kg bag of dog food into the car, and that he was largely ignored when he spoke.

Great value and will order again.

I ordered a bird cage with standard delivery. The cage was delivered in the exected timeframe it might have been better to have tracking information earier than teh day before delivery. I did call Peejay Pets for reassurance and the staff were friendly and helpful. Guess we are just all spoiled by too much information.

Unfortunately I received an email to…

Unfortunately I received an email to say my product was in Stock so I ordered and paid to collect from store.
I then received another email saying product was still out of stock so had money returned which I had to wait 5 days for.
I don't think the service of " email me when in stock" is efficient.

Good afternoon Denise,

Thank you for your feedback. I’m very sorry for the inconvenience caused.

As mentioned in my email, the item showed as back in stock due to a technical issue on our website. A previous customer had been waiting on more of this product, but due to a shortage from our supplier, we were unable to fulfil the remainder of their order. When we processed their refund, our website briefly listed the product as available again, even though no new stock had arrived. This incorrect listing remained until our next daily stock update.

Your order came through during that short window, and I contacted you directly just 16 minutes later, out of hours, to explain the situation and confirm your refund had been processed immediately.

While we issue refunds right away, banks can take 5–10 working days to return the funds, which is unfortunately beyond our control.

We do our best to act quickly when technical issues arise and genuinely regret any frustration this caused. Thank you for your understanding.

just got an email saying im getting a refund no reason why would never deal with this company it was my first order with them.

We're sorry to hear about your experience and thank you for your feedback.

We did send an email on the 3rd of July at 12:45 to the email address provided with your order. It was to let you know that your order was placed as Click and Collect, but you're not local to any of our stores. As we didn’t receive a response after a week, we assumed you wouldn’t be collecting the order and issued a full refund.

We’re not sure why the email didn’t come through on your end, it may have landed in your spam or junk folder. We completely understand your frustration and apologise for any inconvenience caused.

If you’d like to place your order again with delivery or need help with anything else, we’d be happy to assist.
