Just in my final week of induction with Potter House . The induction has been the most comprehensive and in depth I have ever done and I have worked in care for over two decades . We are given all the tools and knowledge to enable us to do our job well and effectively . Can’t wait to start next week

Im new to care but the training has been phenomenal, engaging and a great experience, I have so far had the greatest experience, the trainer is amazing and has answered every single question, nothing has big or too small. Every person is nice to be around, the seniors and above have been amazing for us. I am So greatful and cant wait to begin my care career.

The in house training was really good and not everyone was one the training it was split so there wasn't all of us in one room at the same time plus you got time to meet everyone

The whole process from interview to starting at Oyster Care Homes has been an absolute joy. The support from the start is amazing. The training process is extremely robust and thorough ensuring everyone no matter what position feels secure within their role. This has been the best decision I have made to come and work for this company. I am excited and look forward to my shifts, which are great for the work life balance with 3 on 3 off rotas. I went to a recruitment open day with a friend locally to gather more information about the company and what they were about and offering people who were going to come and live or stay for a period of time at the home. The general manager and front of house for somervalley were the hosts and were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the company and I was offered an interview there and then I'm glad I did do it otherwise I wouldn't of taken the step , it was down to my friend who was with me who is also working at somervalley care home telling me to go for it and the team making me feel valued already. Been there there now six months and enjoying it there.

I dropped some flowers off today for a member of staff and was given a little tour by the manager Lauren.
All I can say is WOW the place is absolutely amazing! Beautifully decorated and it feels very welcoming and homely as soon as you walk inside.
