Brown bin forgotten and no solution
Brown bin not collected 2 weeks in a row. Called to complain and was met with "why didn't you tell us last week"? I assumed that if you didn't fulfill the service then that it would happen this week and gave your awful company some grace!
Now it's totally full, it's summer and told it won't be collected until next week so we cannot cut our grass before then (won't collect any additional bags). Don't know why it's expected to be up to be to promptly report you're not fulfilling your contract!

I wouldn't go past Oxigen. Excellent service and customer service were so kind, helpful and understanding with me when I went through a hard time with payments. If I could give more stars I would!

I only switched to Oxgyen a few months…
I only switched to Oxgyen a few months ago and they've not collected my bins several times. Now they are saying there are too many cars in my cul de sac and the bin collectors are particular they have to be able to see the bin to collect it. Do they not have a list of their customers so they can walk a few steps to lift my bin. Was told id get a callback re this but nothing. Very bad service

However, we do insist that our customers leave bins out in clear area so we can collect and have space for our bin trucks. This is for the safety of our staff, residents and to minimise accidents with other vehicles.

Rude, tired and lazy lady
I called their office and spoke with a lady who was extremely rude. I emailed the same day, and it seems the same person may be handling emails as well, because I still haven’t received any response. They also left my green bin behind without giving any explanation. This is unacceptable. I hope the business owners are aware of how unprofessional and discourteous their staff are.

Would not be likely to recommend
I've only been with this company two months and already they've missed a compost collection three times. Only one of these was accompanied with a courtesy text. It really feels like they can't be bothered. I'm elderly and they're probably thinking I don't even know what day it is, nevermind the hassle of putting the bin out and back again. Maybe I can't be bothered paying my next direct debit!

Black Bin was not collected this…
Black Bin was not collected this morning because there was a balance of only €6.30 in my account. I overlooked topping up my account. You would think that after 27 years of being a loyal customer the bin would have been collected and a text message would issue to remind me to top up the account, afterwards. So much for good customer service?

Good communication between the person collecting my bins (being returned) and myself and the bins were collected this morning. In my case, this time, one-to-one between driver and myself was much more decisive than email communication which had led to missed previous pick-ups and (almost) charges from the Credit Control Team .

2024 great, 2025 not so good
I have been using Oxigen since Oct 22. Registration, payment and delivery of bins was all very easy. I was initially emailed the delivery schedule. Bins were collected 95% of time in 2023/24. In the last 6 months, on a number of occasions the bins were not collected. Maybe 5 times in all. Since they come every 2nd week, it can be a bit of a stretch to manage if one collection is not picked up. Today I returned home to find a 1/3rd of my recycle bin contents remaining in the bin. I've reported it to customer service but since it's a recurring theme now, I think it warrants reviewing.

Very disappointing service
With them 2 1/2 years and only now did they have an issue with where my bins were left. They never collected my 2 black bins last week, no call or notice to let me know just didn’t bother collecting them. The lack of communication is ridiculous. Funny thing is I got approval from a lady in admin to leave my bins where I had them (just inside the entrance behind the pier. They could easily be pulled out from there). Adding €20 credit to my account doesn’t solve the issue, I still have 2 full bins just sitting there. Nor does telling me to bring the rubbish to the dump. Very disappointing behaviour from them especially before Christmas and with both of us being disabled.

Customer Care
I recently broke my hip and a relative put out my two bins for collection on the appropriate day but in a slightly different position than usual and at very short notice. I therefore rang the Oxigen office and the kind lady who answered said she would email the Waterford department immediately. To my delight both bins were collected as usual - a small ray of sunshine in what has been a challenging time!

10/10 service all around
Just want to highly commend and recommend the service. The men on the trucks Ben and David are exceptionally professional, leave the bins back properly. They are quiet and consistent with pick up times every week. They are respectful to traffic in the estate always letting cars around. Trucks are always clean and just get the job done. My bin is always put back on the path. The customer service is prompt and helpful and professional. Not enough is said when a business gives a great service so this review is to say 10/10 all around for this service.

Few years with them, no issues, price rice a little, bin got damaged by rubbish collectors - got exchanged next day!

I always have a great experience with Oxigen! Whenever I have an issue (which is very rarely), I know that I can call up the customer care line and the issue will be promptly resolved.
David assisted me recently and they were kind, quick to investigate the issue, and then called me back to let me know everything was sorted out. Couldn't recommend this company enough!

Bins not collected regularly - you discover you bill is due when your neighbours tell you that your bins have fallen over - lack of communication is a real issue.
Communication is a problem with this company. A problem is never solved - the customer is not valued - this company will always argue that you are wrong and they are right.
They always have to have the last word to say that you are wrong and they are right - if they took on board the problem with communication then I wouldn't be leaving this review - bins often not collected and no notification until the bins are knocked over and all along the road - they'll blame me, but a phone call and valuing their customers would have helped and you don't get this at this company.

Absolutely terrible company
Absolutely terrible company, constantly missing collections and after two years of leaving my bins in the same spot they have decided they cannot collected them from that spot due to insurance policies.

Then Pauline who answered my call was most pleasant and assured me she would resolve the issue of a bin that wasn't emptied. I received a return call within an hour and the bin was emptied,as promised, within 24hrs!
