Couldn't be more awkward to activate. Got it as gift. Wouldnt purchase for someone else as a gift sadly.

Options cards is a good option for gift…
Options cards is a good option for gift cards. The process is very seamless and quick. You will get your card in an instance and you can use it easily. I am happy with my experience.

Good experience so far
So far so good, it is as good as having a debit card. Only thing is that you need to buy the vouchers instead of using it directly to the merchants. Vouchers usually come to my email as soon as I buy it, so no problem till date. I have used it in Lidl,Aldi, Dunnes and other places without any issues.

Well, we don’t have everywhere, but we do have most of the big national retailers such as Dunnes, Curry’s, Pennys, Tesco, lifestyle sports at about 60 more. And of course you can donate to charities and gift.

Not familiar with these gift cards prior to receiving one. They are super…so easy to use,wide array of shops and stores where they are accepted.

I do not think this card is great
I do not think this card is great. Difficult to use. I tried to spend €250 on something in DID electrical... Went into the shop and realised I could only purchase things online with the vouchers. I bought x 3 (had to get three separate vouchers, €100, €100, €50) vouchers online that I could use in store , by using the options card. These took 5 days to arrive. I couldn't order what I needed online as I was using another voucher and credit card to make a large purchase and there was no option for multiple payment options online.
I had a swirl gift card which was much easier to use and more user friendly.
I would not recommend the options card and I do not think there are enough stores to choose from. Also some vouchers are online only and not for use in store which is a nuisance .

Sorry that you had a poor experience. On 4 occasions when choosing DID electrical it says "For online use only - cannot be spent instore". Frustrating I know, but they don't have the technology for instore virtual cards yet - we still support them as they are a great local Irish retailer and that's important. The 3 in-store vouchers that you bought from DID that took 5 days to arrive were directly from DID and nothing to do with OptionsCard - we can't take responsibility for that.
