Ogilvie Homes Omdömen 

Unfortunately, we had an awful experience with Ogilvie Homes. We reserved our property and spoke with a staff member that day. She phoned us back later that week to advise of costs of factoring (not a lot but still a hidden cost). We then were called in to complete our choices - had we read the small print of our reservation document, we would have known you don’t pay for these until missives are signed. Excitement took over and we paid for them after the staff member advised we would be delayed if we didn’t.

The sale on our house fell through, Ogilvie gave us an inachievable date to conclude missives with them. No willingness to have discussions, just allowed someone to reserve our home. Their work encompasses no compassion. As soon as you reserve, your a number. We are pretty certain that Ogilvie took our house from us because they had hiked the prices up of that house type and sold others. The sales agent even told us “they had been flying out the door”.
I would really discourage you from using Ogilvie homes. You’ll see a trend of negative, useless customer service should you read more reviews.

This was our first venture into a new build property and had a number of concerns going into the process. However the team at Ogilvie Homes - Manor Park Dunlop East Ayrshire have been exceptional from the very start. Our first visits with Scott and Graeme gave us the confidence to reserve our plot ahead of seeing the house type built. Scott continued to guide us through the build, helping us put our personal touch on our home with the number of options available. We always felt welcome at the site as our house was built and any question was never any issue. The pre-move in meeting was great idea to have and Nicky (Site Manager) and Alex (sales agent) took us through the working of the house and detailed all the necessary and pertinent information. After moving in at the end of August. Nicky has been a pleasure to work with. He popped in to insure we had settled in, explained the snagging process and was keen to resolve anything we had discovered over the weekend. Thankfully we have had little snagging and it’s clear to see the pride that Nicky and the team have taken in building the homes at Manor Park. We are still in the construction phase but everyone working at Manor Park has been extremely courteous, professional and helpful. They always take time to say hello to our wee dog as they pass by.

Manor Park Dunlop is a small development within the original grounds of Dunlop Manor. The new homes really complement the Manor and Ogilvie homes have been sympathetic to the setting and created a wonderful place to live.

I love my house. The layout and design is perfect and the rooms are a good size for a new build semi-detached. This is my fourth new build, so I knew what to expect regarding ordering extras and paying up front, and what to expect from snagging etc. In this house the sorting of my snagging has been very efficient. There were a couple of big fixes (living room window and units in kitchen needed replacing), but the site team had already identified this and ordered the work before I moved in. The lads who have come to complete the snagging items (some from other companies and some from Ogilvie) have been lovely. Very helpful, clean and tidy workers and have completed the work to a very high standard. I have no complaints about customer care on this site at Orchid Park in Plean and I'm very happy in my new house.

Not a lot wrong with the house a year after buying, the little bits and pieces were resolved by the aftercare team. Excellent service.

Purchased my Ogilvie Homes property almost 2 years ago and the experience has been fantastic.
From our initial contact with the sales team through to visits from the aftercare team for our snagging items, everyone has been so helpful, especially the Ogilvie lads who came to fix our snags, you wouldn't have known they had been near the house, so tidy and helpful!

This is the second home that we have purchased from new and we can honestly say it was a pleasure from start to finish. There was no hard sell from the Sales Person, we were kept up to date during the build process and the hand-over was on the date promised. We had a couple of "snags" but they were dealt with quickly. We are delighted with our new home and would not hesitate in buying another from Ogilve Homes, if we were ever to move again

Absolute cowboys , bought our new home and after 1.5 years , there dodgy electrical wiring caused our house to go on fire , fire forensic officer shows in report damaged cabling where fire started and also further damaged cable outwith the source of the fire , house was ruined and had to be rebuilt . Ogilvie showed no care or concern during or after the fire and totally backed away and blamed the 3rd party electricians which they used for the building works , I was left without a home for a full year and not once in that full time did ogilvie get in touch to apologise or say sorry or anything .
Do yourself a favour and stay clear of these cowboys , could have been 3 people dead and the cared not one jot , absolute horrible company with no customer care , only interested in your money and once you have your keys then your on your own .

If I could give 0 stars I would! Where do I start? Sales rep initially told us garden sizes (important feature for us) 3 times we were told the sizes. On visiting the site on a few occasions it became very clear that the garden wasn't going to be the correct size. Again, assured it would be. When selecting our options, never told in advance these needed paying for prior to move in let alone within 2 weeks of picking them! We finally had the site manager confirm that the garden was in fact 2 meters shorter than promised on multiple occasions and that the over hanging trees WOULD NOT TO TRIMMED BACK until after nesting season. Leaving old, rotting trees to over hang a new property for over 6 months and over winter. Interesting that now Stirling Council have made the decision to cut them down due to multiple complaints raised. We cancelled to after all the lying and poor service and were told we would receive £1150 of our £1500 deposit back........ they then changed their minds and said we would get £150 back! Disgraceful!! We were in the process of getting marrieds at the time and the unwanted stress and grief from this shower was not what we needed. I have since logged a complaint via my solicitors to Ogilvies and surprise suprise.......they deny any of lies and misleading information given to us. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Will never entertain this lot again!!

Do not buy a Home from these cowboys as I servered my country for 25 years and would much rather go back to Afghan / Iraq than deal with these clowns. They are a disgrace and they do nothing except lie to your face and have no Morales or a professional bone between them, they are an disgrace to say the least.

A truly fantastic experience from start to finish. From the initial viewing everything was communicated efficiently and managed professionally by the helpful Ogilvie Homes staff. Upon moving in I was absolutely delighted with the finished quality of my new property. I thoroughly recommend Ogilvie for your new home. Can't thank them enough.

I've been in my Olgive flat now for just over 23 years and it has been excellent! My flats got built in the early 90s and I moved in in 1998 as a first time buyer and am still here! I have upgraded things over the years like kitchen, bathroom, windows and it's still going strong. I am thinking of maybe moving out as I am mortgage free now but unsure. I have been very happy with Olgive flats.

We moved into our house in August 2021 after months of delay and limited reason or contact from sales/customer service. Since moving in we still have snags waiting to be complete including the fact our WC bathroom floor is raised due to poor pipe work and substandard workmanship.

The customer service teams solution to this was to build a “box” to hide it, they were informed this was not acceptable however they have stopped all contact and are ignoring email requests.

We have had some issues with our boiler and have been informed by the boiler brand that the installer contacted by Oglvie have not activated the warranty within the required 30 days meaning we do not have a 5 year warranty as sold. Customer services appear to have no knowledge of this process and have been unable to assist so far.

Overall the contact and service received has left much to be desired, as soon as staff left the site they have stopped responding and engaging with customers. This does not present well and as things stand just now I would NOT recommend an Oglvie home to anyone.

We've been in the house for 7 months now. Managed to get some snags sorted fairly quickly thanks to working from home and builders still being on site when we moved in. However, getting anything fixed since they left the site before Christmas is next to impossible. All our emails being ignored, no dedicated customer service rep. Only managed to get the details of one through one of their tradesmen but he looks after all their sites and is never available. Our gutters are extremely noisy any time it's windy (which is pretty much every other day in Scotland) and we've been trying to have them refitted for the past 3 months but just keep being told that someone will be in touch soon, week after week. We also can't make use of our solar panels as Ogilvie failed to register them with DNO. We've been talking to various people over the past 5 months, kept being told that the technical team is looking into it. Obviously they weren't as we still haven't heard from them, now we can't even get anyone to give us an update. Absolutely would not buy from Ogilvie again.

WARNING don’t buy from Ogilvie Homes customer after service appalling.
Bought new house Kings Meadow Stirling March 2020 and still waiting on snagging to be fixed.Had water leak in kitchen April 2021 and found live bare wire under kitchen unit.6 months down the line still waiting on category 1 electrical fault to be fixed and damaged kitchen units to be replaced from leak.
Even had customer care manager out for inspection on full house and still no further forward.
You would think Ogilvie would take extra pride in there home town but they don’t care after they sell house.
WORST NEW BUILD IVE EVER BOUGHT….

The property has unbelievably poor workmanship, finish and snagging outstanding. If you want to purchase a new build then spend money finishing it and correcting poor workmanship I’d buy Ogilvie. Disappointed, unappreciative of our patience and feeling completely let down.
