The hold time is very long to speak with one of your representatives. When I get to talk to them they are polite and try to help. The issue for me is that when a claim is rejected you don't provide what needs to be fixed so I am left to have to call and wait.

I have used Office Ally for a number of years, too many to count even. It is an easy program to use to generate the electronic bills for my mental health clients. It takes about 5 minutes to do a days worth of billings which I then print out a hard copy and organize in binders for easy tracking.
I have issues with their billing system though for services provided. To attempt to avoid this issue I have actually paid ahead a month, but their monthly bill shows I still owe a payment when it should show I have a credit.

I have been trying to get office ally to return an email for 3 months! I called and the problem was pushed to the user, our claims are being kicked out for 'invalid member' because they refuse to use the (mm-dd-yyyy) format for dates of birth! Plus, I am changing the place of service for claims and they continue to say the place of service isn't changed! 99 and 11 look VERY different! Not to mention suddenly, they half fill in the HICFA forms and claim almost ALL of the insurers in NC Medicaid are Non Par leading to increase in fees! The claims are being kicked out so long I am now having to print and mail insurance forms because they can't seem to get a simple bitthday correct! I can't seem to get a return call, email or anything!! We are about to switch clearinghouses because Office Ally has gone from bad to increasingly lazy! Our administrative burdens are increasing because of people not doing their jobs!
SHAPE UP, OR SHIP OUT! enough is enough!

Advertise as free but incurred nearly a $90+ fee for invoices that were submitted to insurance but no payment received.
Trying to cancel them is energy draining as they give all these circuitous reasons. They send a disclosure email with no reference to cancellation and expected it to be signed without any inquiry.

I have, regrettably, been using Office Ally since 2010 and they are the third ring of hell. Their "features", such as online patient forms, are burdensome and slow. Customer "Service" is staffed by slackers who sound like they're annoyed that you called. No matter what the problem is, they try to slough it off onto to the user, claiming that "you should just clear your cache," even when it's obvious the cache isn't the issue.
Two weeks ago, they screwed up their screen formatting by adding advertising content, and after I submitted two tickets, they still haven't fixed it or gotten back to me. Today, after completing chart notes, the system crashed and I lost all the content.
Want to leave them for a more competent EHR/PM platform? Good luck...all they'll send you is a spread sheet with basic patient information; no prog notes, no chart documents. In other words, leave them and you'll be NONCOMPLIANT.
Office Ally is like the Hotel California...You can check in anytime you want, but you can never leave!

I have used OA since 2014. Like everyone else has mentioned, I'm not thrilled that the prices keep going up even when only a few claims get submitted. However, what I most HATE HATE HATE is there is no mobile app. There have been times when they updated colors or fonts or things that were so pointless for most of us. Why on earth in today's world are there no mobile apps? I fight the system constantly on my mobile equipment to where it bounces all over, doesn't show part of the times, isn't user friendly for where it posts the confirm a deleted appt, doesn't zoom in at times, etc. So many times I have written down what time I am supposed to schedule someone and then wait until I am at my computer to actually do so--this has almost led to my forgetting to schedule a couple of people or double booking. I should be able to schedule without aggravation in the moment. This happens on multiple mobile devices under different wi-fi as well as cellular data so it can't be a problem with all of my equipment. I have almost left the company b/c my requests for mobile do not seem to be heard. Also, I had a period of time where it was locking me out, stating my pw and user ID were not correct--this was absolutely not the case and prevented me from seeing my schedule for the next day--are you kidding me? They responded the next day with their being a glitch in the system--well that glitch has occurred more than once and each time significantly caused problems. Another time, I was unable to get in and needed a few pieces of information to finalize a patient's report that needed to be done that next day. If it was not so much trouble to change to another company, I would have done so a few years ago and still will do so if I come across something user friendly.

I have been trying to reach a supervisor for almost a month to address a billing issue. The issue was my error (full responsibility taken) but I wanted to get some clarity about how to be sure an error like this does not happen again. It is beyond frustrating as they keep saying a supervisor will call and nothing until an email 1-2 weeks later (not addressing the issue of concern). This company has grown really fast due to change health care issues across the nation. It seems to not be able to handle its volume, or they don't care about their customers satisfaction.

I recently signed up for epharmacy which costs money. I could not be scheduled for training for at least 1 month. In communicating with them, there is always a long wait time on hold and being passed around from one tech support person to another and when I got a call back when I chose to "keep my place in line" the person who called me back was from billing.

Office Ally used to be great, then they started charging 39.99 and I had the most difficult time canceling my account. I must have used Office Ally once in April, then got locked out of my account but was still charged 39.99. I would not recommend Office Ally unless you plan on staying with them forever. I was promised a refund for the month and when they finally got to cancelling my account they refused the refund.

Have used Office Ally for over 10 years. It used to be great. Now they have a monthly fee of $39.95 even if you only submit 2 claims. I have twice resubmitted claims using the "new" computer site. They have been submitted incorrectly by Office Ally which means I have not gotten paid. I am not surprised to see that they were bought out in 2021. The quality and customer support has definitely declined while the fees have increased.

Josh rushed through the presentation quickly. I am a business owner and would have loved to use this recommended clearinghouse per Aetna referral. Josh had no time to show me how to file my claims. What a waste of time.
