The delivery man was friendly
The delivery man was friendly, although 2 of the items I ordered were not delivered so you sent a double order of 1 meal, which meant I got 3 meals instead of 4 at the same price

My mother lives to the UK and I live in Canada. Being able to order food that she likes remotely is extremely convenient. The food arrives on the same day every week and is consistently tasty.

This review is not about the food but about the service
This review is not about the food about how the company deals with a problem when things go wrong.
I am the main carer for our Son who unfortunately has a severe mental illness. We set the account with Oakhouse because he doesn’t cook but can use a microwave.
All has been going very well until this week.
His food is delivered on a Thursday morning which is great because he can go out and help calm his anxiety.
This Thursday 17th Sept the delivery didn’t turn up and eventually someone rang my son to say that the driver was off sick. These things happen so no problem there.
They said his food would be delivered the next day ( Friday 18th Sept ) between 1 and 4pm.
He waited in again but the delivery didn’t turn up so in the end he had to ring them.
They made some excuse and said they would deliver tomorrow Sat 19th between 1 and 4 pm but he told them he can’t stay in again waiting it makes him feel unwell, they offered the same time Monday but he was all anxious and told them he has to attend a workshop as part of his ongoing treatment.
After discussing it with him I told him not to bother with this weeks meal and as he has already paid they can deliver per the usual time being next Thursday.
This has happened before but quite a while back.
For people that are well this would not be a problem but for my Son it is a huge problem that affects his wellbeing.
My 1 star review is the lack of communication when things go wrong. Keeping a customer informed can make a big difference.

Order delivered first thing this morning.
I understand that there will be times when deliveries are late or missed because of circumstances out of your control.
All you have to do is keep the customer informed and there won’t be any problems.
