I’m quite happy with the Nutrisystem…
I’m quite happy with the Nutrisystem food as well as the customer service! I’ve never had Any trouble switching the date of my next delivery, getting thru to anyone over the phone. They usually pick up within 2 minutes! Everyone has been quite friendly And helpful! A few mistakes were made with the delivery as well as meal replacements and they have been ever so obliging with correcting them. I’ve done WW in the past, but am favoring Nutrisystem due to their portioning, NuMi app for logging in food and now am Quite satisfied with their customer service. I wasn’t able to stick to the plan after getting the first month of the plan, but started it as laid out by them on my second months delivery. It’s been 2 weeks and have thus far lost 5 pounds. I am starting to workout now, so am looking for the steady weight loss they say will..and Is..happening. Guessing people with a poor experience aren’t following guidelines (?) or calling the correct customer service number (?) Nutrisystem team has been helpful in moving my payment processing dates to fit times when funds would be available on my credit card (as had to skip a shipment..move it back due to insufficient funds).
I’m exceptionally pleased all around and have developed a taste for the foods I didn’t think would happen. Great selection! Love how it’s set up! I’m doing Uniquely yours max. I have decided upon doing more months than I had anticipated as it’s working better than I presumed! 💪

Their food portions are for people of normal weight
Their food portions are for people of normal weight. Their food is less tasty than the cardboard box it comes in. They way they get you to lose weight is to starve you into weight loss.

I purchased this program for my son
I purchased this program for my son, who is 6'2" & 260lbs. They shipped items that were 6 - 7 oz., that's barely enough for me at 120 lbs. They ask your weight, for what reason, I'm not sure. He didn't say anything the first month, I noticed that the 2nd month was collecting in the freezer. When I mentioned a 3rd order - he said not to bother. Well, I still have the 2nd months food in my freezer, so I figured that I might as well eat it. I have tried a number of the different dinners and I can see why he hasn't been eating them -they are terrible - tasteless! I have 14 dinners left, which will be going in the garbage. Save your money.

Don’t believe the hype
Started off ok- the food isn’t great. Excruciatingly small portions (kind of expected this) and gas inducing food.
Honestly, the only way you’re going to survive on this diet is to add in a ton of other “allowable” foods that you’ll need to purchase on your own at the grocery store.
When I first received my box of food it did not come with any paperwork or anything explaining how to begin my diet. I was directed to an app that is NOT user friendly. It took me a week to realize how to navigate it and that I could add in specific vegetables to the Nutrisystem meals.
After the first couple of weeks I noticed I was getting low on food.
Turns out for the $400 I paid for a months worth of food you are only getting 20 actual days worth of food.
I had followed those first 20 days exactly as directed and was kind of left to figure it out for the last 10 days of the month while waiting for my next delivery.
Needless to say I fell off the wagon.
Definitely not what I had hoped for with all of the hype surrounding Nutrisystem. Disappointing.

The food taste terrible. Their website says you can return and get a refund so I returned the second order and received less than half of the money I spent on it.

The food is not bad, but I barely lost any weight and it gave me a lot of heartburn. I have tried to call several times to cancel, when I finally got someone on the phone, the representative insisted that I should keep trying and ignored my statement saying that THE FOOD MAKES ME FEEL SICK, IT GIVES ME HEARTBURN, she proceeded to threaten me with charging me $125.00 for cancelling. I was never informed about this charge. Im sure many people would think about it more than twice if they knew about this.

Customer service is without question…
Customer service is without question the worst! First, try to get someone on the phone. If you're ordering they're on the phone quickly,but other than that you'll wait for a rude reply to be be unhelpful.

Disappointed in cancelling process and info.
When I called to start the program, it was for my husband and myself, I just wanted to do one account and was told I could not, I explained that my husband did not use the email daily it was not something he checked.
We got our first shipment and did the second month, after that we really did not see a difference, so we decided to cancel, I called, and the lady said it was canceled. Well, I came to find out that both accounts were not canceled only one when I was delivered another month of food and they refuse to take it back. The guy Al on the phone was very rude, I would not recommend doing the Nutrisystem diet for many reasons.

I have been on the program for 5…
I have been on the program for 5 months. My ex husband has always paid, so the billing name and address is always my ex husband's info. I enrolled in Uniquely woman's program. Well this month I was contacted on the 9th saying my order could not process, cc declined. So I called and spoke with cust. Service and told them I would get back to them or update the payment info online.. I gave my ex my login and password and he updated the cc info online. I receive an email saying my frozen order has shipped, I don't pay much attention because I would of never of thought that a ala cart order for 50 grilled chicken sandwiches would be sent to me..I go back to look over the email and it says your frozen order of no current plan has shipped. What the heck, I am enrolled in a current plan. My ex did not accidentally order 50 grilled chicken sandwiches by accident; when I login to my account the billing info is in my name as well as shipping. My account has never been set up like that. So I know darn well this company charged me for something I did not order nor did my ex husband. But they don't take returns on frozen food. Huh? Never told that. So they just charged his card an additional 205 dollars on an order they say was placed online the day he logged on and updated cc info. And their solution not put me through to a supervisor, but offer me 20 dollars off my next auto delivery. Are you kidding me, this company has such poor customer service practices and are unethical and clearly want to say my ex husband must of accidently ordered the chicken sand. When he updated payment info. Bull crap, and where is the cust service practices that they could see clearly I am enrolled in a plan so an Ala la cart purchase would not fall under no current plan and billed to me, never done...but do they reach out to try to figure out if this is correct, hell no they just charge your card 205 dollars, never care to see that I already had an auto delivery order with food selections, but they dont process it and process a 205 ala cart order and stick you with the cost and unwanted product. I will.definately let everyone know on every social media platform of their unethical practices and illegally charging cc with purchases not made or authorized and then say it was an online order, but can't show me an ip address proof it was ordered even accidentally, there is no way to verify it...this company will get sued by my ex...and I will muddy their name.every chance I get and use every social.media outlet to.spread the word.

I was on the plan four weeks
I was on the plan four weeks. The food is mediocre and I would never eat cupcakes they include as snacks if I were not on their program. When I called to cancel, they threatened to charge me $125, a very dishonest practice. Plus they keep sending advertisements and ignore my unsubscribe messages. This is a disgusting company.

I called Nutrisystem to cancel my next…
I called Nutrisystem to cancel my next shipment and they are still charging my card $125 cancellation fee. They claim it is part of the terms and conditions, their publicity say cancel anytime. No business should be allowed to obligate a customer to purchase a second round of products for which they were not satisfied with.
Nutrisystem is 30 days worth of food. Obviously it takes time to determine if the program is right for you. I called with a logical and reasonable amount to of time to cancel and assess that I am dissatisfied with the product.
They are simply taking advantage of people with fine print and unlawful obligations.
I demand the $125 cancellation fee be refunded. Also I deleted my credit card from the website minutes before calling to cancel the auto-order, therefore if they charge my card that means they are keeping my confidential credit card information on file without my consent.
I still have not received confirmation cancellation email.

Totally not worth it
Totally not worth it! It made me gain weight after 2 months of being on the plan, when I called to cancel to explain the carb intake was too high for my body they refused to refund, even with a doctor letter explaining how it was harming my body (bloating etc) . My advice, just DON’T do it.

The food was good
The food was good, but did not receive the shakes and to call the customer service was challenging in itself. Never got the shakes even though I see an open order for them. They also warn you at the beginning of the call since I am in California that have to tell of the Prop 65 that makes them reveal some chemicals in the package or food cause cancer.....
I canceled my upcoming orders.
Update: 10/28/22 Was contacted by Nutrisystem with a very nice explanation and they looked into my orders which are now being shipped.

This company is a scam
This company is a scam. I could’ve gave my mom a better diet plan number one the meals are extremely terrible for you high fat high carbs little protein high sodium. Number two they didn’t give her the amount of meals she paid for! Number 3 they suggest for you to pick the “chefs choice” option for the meals you get and give when you do they give 95% tiny bars for meals to save themselves money instead of the meals you can choose from that are actually hot meals. Pathetic disgrace of a company.

Where's the beef?
I thought I'd look here to see if others are upset about the low-inventory issues NutriSystems has been experiencing the last few months. I've been buying from NutriSystems for about 4 years. I appreciate being able to delay my orders, especially when I see that there's a particular item low on inventory. I'll usually wait until that warning is gone from the items I want and then order. When they ship, they substitute items, usually ones that I don't like. Their policy is to send an email to notify of substitutions, but apparently that only applies on discontinued items, not items that are low in inventory. However, when there are no warnings of low inventory, I've had little problem with getting the correct items.
That said, I use them mostly for convenience rather than weight loss. Based on my own experiences with customer service both by email and on the phone, I'm of the opinion that most of the negative comments here using The words "thieves" and "scam" are unwarranted. If people would just read what the various programs include, and how their so-called 'discounts' work, there would be fewer misunderstandings. I do agree however, that a lot of 'fluff' that they use by the words 'discount' or 'savings' is misleading at best. You don't really save by ordering the automatic reorder programs, as what it really does is make it much more expensive (double the cost in many cases) to just to order a month's worth of food. The premium items pricing on the ala carte menus are ridiculous. Usually 9$ a shot. Also, they say free shipping, but then charge you $10 for "packaging". To me, that's misleading, but I wouldn't call it scammy. But then, on the alacarte menu they seem to want to charge additional to ship frozen items unless your order gets to $75. Seems ridiculous to me when you order alacarte items with your regular order which already includes frozen items shipping container and dry ice.
Also, you have to read all the fine print. A month to them varies on the number of days depending on the program. It's never 30 days of food. It's 24 days, or 28 days, 4 meals and snacks a day, maybe 6, it does get very complicated.
People just need to read the 'fine print' or the asterisk foot notes and understand what they're paying for.
My main complaint is the constant running out of inventory. As I said earlier, it's been unacceptable lately. Roughly 30% of my order is marked "low on inventory and substitutions MAY be made". (which really means WILL be made. This too, is misleading. So, before you lock into a 2 or 3 month discounted auto delivery program, consider that you might not be able to order the items you want. I'm not sure NS would refund the money back to you or not.
By the way, the food itself isn't as bad as some have said. It's just small portions low in salt and calorie heavy condiments, etc. There are ways to improve the taste of most of the food without adding a lot of calories to it. Their pictures of the food are also misleading. They put the items on very small plates to make them look larger, and they add things in the pictures that aren't included in the items. So, yes, that is misleading as well.
When they get their inventory problems solved, I'll come back and increase the rating to maybe 4 stars.

Don’t bother
I started the NutriSystem diet over the weekend. I am taking in more fat, more calories, more cholesterol, more sodium, more carbs and less protein than the diet I was using before this. Plus, the food tastes of nothing, or worse! I workout 3 days per week, walk regularly and drink between 80 and 100 ounces of water per day. This diet is not a good one. I am following the plan and eating more food now that I had previously! The food is terrible tasting!
In reply to the response from Nutrisystem…all your food is terrible tasting. Everything we tried is bad and it still filled with cholesterol, fat and sodium. For me to eat healthy with your system, I would need to cut out more than 90% of your food! I canceled my account and hope no one will be using you based on my findings!

I wanted to try their product one time. Without my consent or knowledge, they enrolled me into a monthly subscription plan. They stole 350 dollars out of my account. I saw they withdrew money without my authorization, so I called them immediately to tell them "DO NOT SEND ME YOUR PRODUCT!". This was on Aug 12. They continued to ship their garbage product (which is tasteless, unless you like the flavor of cardboard) four days later on Aug 16.
I waited on the phone for 2 hours before I was connected with customer support. They DO NOT have a cancel subscription option on their website, so you are forced to call them if you want to cancel, after they auto enroll you into their scam program without your knowledge.
Now in October, I'm still fighting to get my money back. I've called my bank to file a dispute. The company is charging me 125$ for a restocking fee.
This company is a NIGHTMARE! Unethical business practices. THEIVES. Do not waste your time or money, hopefully somebody reads this before having their money stolen.

Unauthorized Charges
I called to cancel my membership and was told there would be a $125 cancellation fee. I agreed to the $125 cancelation fee. As soon as I was off the call with NutriSystem I got notification that NutriSystem charged my account $479.98. I immediately called them back.
I was told by NutriSystem representative Jalil that this was an error on PayPal's side and that this has been happening with PayPal lately. They said they are going to get ahold of PayPal and have them remove the charge but that it would take 3 to 5 business days to see the charge removed.
I will update my review here when and if I see the charges removed. I hope they are being honest with me and that this does not turn into a nightmare.
10-29-2022 I am updating my review.
Just as expected the second charge of $479.98 was NOT PayPal's fault. This was an unauthorized charge by NutriSystem. I disputed the charge and everything is settled now but it was a hassle.
My experience with NutriSystem was a negative one. The food made me not feel well. Which is why I canceled the service.
DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR BILLING INFORMATION.

They charge you for things you didn't…
They charge you for things you didn't autorize (like adding on extra shakes, and, even automatically enrolling you in their automatic shipments (if it is in their initial purchase screen, it's well hidden in the fine print). Stay away - unethical people.
