When my husband died I couldn’t even go in the stores where we used to nor did I feel like cooking without being able to share with him. When I saw nutrisystem I thought it was the answer to my prayers. The stuff was horrible. Bland. Tasted like card board. Such small portions! I could buy small frozen meals in the grocery store with better nutrition. The junk is expensive and no where near how they make it look on tv. When I wrote a negative review on FB they promptly removed it. This was in 2013.

This company uses shady practices

This company uses practices that are disadvantageous to its customers. They change you renewal date every month and their cutoff deadline is the previous day from your renewal date. However, when they ship and how long it takes you to receive your order is extremely random, for which they claim no responsibility. This is setup clearly to their advantage without any consideration for how it affects their customers.

Nutrisystem food sucks

I ordered 1 time and their food sucks. I went online to my account and cancelled my order and account prior to the reorder date. Nutrisystem waited 2 days to acknowledge my online request to cancel. They claim I accepted the terms of auto delivery, I DID NOT! Now I am on the hook for another delivery and they will only accept return of the dry food. I am also on the hook for a return fee. I just off the phone with customer service and they will not budge.

look before you leap

I wish I had read these comments before signing up. Their customer service is terrible and I mean terrible. Signed up for partner program. First non frozen order arrived. Frozen food order delayed. Called customer service about frozen food order that ships from sparks nevada. 500 milies from me. Was told not to start program until frozen food order arrived. 10 days later started the program. Notified second non frozen shiped. Said would arrive on a sunday I said are you sure no one delivers on sundays. Oh yes if it said sunday would arrive.Notified delayed shipment would arrive monday. So many problems wont go on. Even had agent hangup on me. Do not join this program and I cannot repeat it enough

Not worth the money.

I ordered what they call the "diabetic" plan but none of the meals are low in carbs. None. It was a huge waste of money. The food tastes bland and have no flavor. The "pizza" is nothing but s tortilla with a packet of sauce and cheese. The tortilla tastes like cardboard. The soups have no taste and they never cook properly. The packets of dinners are all bad tasting. No seasoning. Diabetic my foot!

Buyer beware … When I ordered…

Buyer beware … When I ordered Nutrisystem online I never saw anywhere that I will be charged 125.00 if I cancel after my first order . I started having digestive problems after I started eating this and my doctor put me on a bland diet and ordered tests. Not saying their food harmed me but , I could not have gravy or sauce or any food that was spicy. I told the customer service it was because of a medical issue and she said it will be 125.00 fee for canceling! I will never recommend this program for their food or their fees . Lost more weight before I order this .

Oversmart and Big Cheaters

I Called Nutri System in the month of December 2022 and Clearly told and confirm with Representative that i want to cancel my nutri system program AND ALA CARTE too, and she confirm too that both has been cancelled.

And now when i was looking my credit card statement i see they were still charging me $88.54 for Since 3 months for ALA CARTE and when i call customer service they refuse and also the supervisor JESSICA told me the same thing they cannot refund all 3 months $88.54 , they can only do 1 month $88.54

I also told them to check there recording what the talk was made between me and customer representative, but they still not willing to investigate and refund.

It is there fault when i said to cancel both , then why they were forcely sending shipment and charging to my account. though everything i mentioned is true and make sense talk , and in addition i am a customer since year 2016, they don't even have that much courtesy to keep the word of old customer and refund, i will never recommend any body,

customer service is the worst!

The food is decent for diet food, but not many veggie options. Some items that are vegetarian are not even offered on the vegetarian plan. Makes zero sense. Overall the plan is working for me. However, their customer service is the worst! I have received several orders that were short, they do fix it when reported, but you have to wait until the next month. Once they gave me a substitute item with bacon in it...Hello, I'm on a veg plan. I recently called in to ask about some of their new menu items. The call rep was so hostile about my questions I couldn't believe it. I requested to speak to a supervisor twice but was told one would have to call me back. Never got a call. I then emailed about my experience, never got a response. With as many diet plans and food out their they should really try to treat their customers better.

Worst customer service EVER

Worst customer service EVER. I was told it was ok to have 10 business days shipping for frozen items. SERIOUSLY? Zero help. Tried online chat, no help. Sent email to Customer service, no help. Held on hold for almost an hour and was told to call back when my 10 business days are up. Seriously? Never again!
REPLY TO NUTRISYSTEM RESPONSE: I DID email customer service and have not heard back; it has been 72 hrs and counting. Thanks for providing another way to NOT get customer support from Nutrisystem. STEER CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY!

I've lost more weight on my own

I've lost more weight on my own. Nutrisystem did nothing to help weight loss. Twice I had difficulties with their delivery. This 2nd time FedEx was supposed to deliver Thursday. This is Monday/delivery hasn't been made. Used the phone# for the original mess up so I didn't have to jump through their hoops again. Didn't have their food last 2 wks/lost 5 lbs. on my own

Beware - They make it impossible to cancel.

The only way you can cancel the auto ship orders is by calling them. I have been on “hold” now for 38 minutes and counting. I have tried to “chat” via the app and their website but those both instruct you to call. 🤬

I would give Nutrisystem 0 stars if…

I would give Nutrisystem 0 stars if possible. The food is not delicious as indicated by their commercials and the serving sizes are tiny...and the snacks are not necessary if you are trying to lose weight. I signed up for one month of food just to try it and see if I liked it. After 2 weeks, I received an email that my next order was being shipped. I did not sign up or want multiple orders or I would have opted for the larger discount when you sign up for 3 months. What they don't tell you when you are on the website and when you order for one month only, is that if you try to cancel from the program after you receive that second shipment notice (that you did not sign up for), they will charge you $125 as a cancellation fee. They will claim they sent you this notice when they confirmed the shipment of your one month order. It's unfair for such a terrible product. I have ordered from other online food suppliers and they are wonderful if you do not want to continue with shipments. Nutrisystem needs to do better and treat customers more fairly.

The packaging is poor! Food is beyond bland.

The packaging is poor!! Styrofoam is far from eco-friendly. It may break down in high temperatures, but it pollutes our earth with alarming volumes of microplastics, affecting animals and humans alike. The frozen meals shipped in huge styrofoam cooler. I contacted Nutrisystem about the packaging and received no response. They should look into more eco friendly packaging.

The food is bland! It may teach portion control but that’s it. I can see myself gaining weight as soon as I started eating normal food again.

The convenience is great but with proper planning and food journaling, you can achieve the same results with better tasting foods.

Canceling my automatic delivery was stressful in itself. They kept offering other options. The other options are not going to make the food taste better. Then the representative asks if I lost any weight? None of your business. I just want to cancel because I don’t like the food and don’t see it as a life changing option.

Do Not Sign Up for 3 months

The system "works" and if you follow it faithfully you might succeed. A member of my family did. However, do NOT pay for anything using their "up front three month save some money' pitch . After plunking down a thousand for three months, my family member developed allergic reaction to some ingredient and her doctor ordered her to cease. We assumed liability for what was sent and consumed. What you do not tell you is you won't get anything else refunded even if you have not received it. After countless phone calls and emails, they refunded just $400. "That's our policy" was the response. My advice is look to other high protein/low carb systems. Most importantly never send these folks money in advance. You will never see it again.

Horrible food

Horrible food! Very processed food that gave us indigestion and gas. You have to buy your own vegetables and fruit in addition to spending an outrageous amount for their food and snacks. The frozen food was just okay. However it was much better than the unrefrigerated processed food. I could not eat any of that or many of their processed cookie snacks. Some of the frozen breakfasts were okay. Way too much money for what you get or can even eat. Absolutely dissatisfied and disappointed. I canceled immediately.

So basically they just don’t care about…

So basically they just don’t care about their customers. Missing orders, damaged items…I called 8 times and each time I waited on hold over an hour and then was disconnected. My last order was somehow dropped off the Empire State Building and every single frozen item was in pieces…even the plastic trays…trashed. No one cares…no one wants to deal with it. I’m veggie and am very limited, but every item I can barely tolerate is suddenly discontinued, so I have to live on awful mac and cheese. They do not care about anything…I’m sitting here with an entire order that was dropped and broken and no one will help, and to add insult to injury, their “food” is horrible and definitely not worth their exorbitant prices. You even need to additionally buy all your own vegetables and an extra ten days of food as you only get 20 days’ worth. Their response to this review is to email them. Guess what? They never responded to my email. Disgusting company…stay away!

DO NOT PURCHASE!-Impossible to cancel!

After receiving my first months of food I called to cancel. This program is just way too expensive for the quality of food. I waited on hold for over 30 minutes and then decided to try "chat" on the website. I was informed that if you cancel prior to your 2nd delivery you are charged $125/cancellation fee. I asked Brenda to direct me to where this is stated. She told me to read the terms & conditions on the website. I read through them all and sure enough it was not there. I asked her to send me something where this is stated-she refused to do so. Still have not been able to get anyone on the phone and the only way to cancel is to speak with a live representative. DO NOT ORDER from this company unless you want to be stuck in a lifetime contract.
