Go Sydney

I ordered the bike and did not hear anything for almost a month. Then I got an email from Sydney in customer service that informed me that my order was being sent to fabrication. In the meantime I had a health issue that prevented me from riding so I replied to her email but got a notice that the mail could not be sent to the address. So I reread Sydneys email and replied to the email she requested and that email went thru immediately. I then heard back from Sydney the next day and she cancelled my order and issued a refund to my credit card. So I have not complaints

Customer Service is horrible and made…

Customer Service is horrible and made spurious excuses as to why they shipped the wrong size and model the demanded that the mis-shipped bike be received by them before sending the proper one. The refuse to tell me how I can turn off the green light under the saddle which is a signal to thieves to come and steal the bike as the light indicates it is an E Bike :)
The N+ response makes no sense, and it is almost as if they have never seen the bikes they are supposed to be providing support on. Thank you for reaching out regarding your E-Bike.
Please be advised, the green light is to reflect how much charge/life the battery has remaining until it completely drains. This light will always remain on until the battery completely drains and needs to be recharged.

I am still dealing with this problem and I had to buy a series of Litelok to secure the bike :) If anyone on here knows how to turn off this light please respond as Mercedes N+ Customer Support won't :(

Hi - I cannot recommend the customer service enough that I received from Elizabeth at N+. I submitted a replacement part request by email - super-quick reply - multiple updates - great price - amazingly quick postage too.

Fast No hassle service

Elizabeth was friendly and answered my email request promptly. She sent a replacement warranty part that arrived in about 10 days. No hassle. This would definitely influence my decision to buy another bike from them.

Issue with Power after just 2 days

Received the City Racer Edition eBike by Mercedes-Benz on 7/10. Assembled and first ride (5 miles) on 7/11. All worked well.
Bike is light, agile very responsive.

On second ride loss of power on hill after approx 3 miles. Seemed to correct after a minute and continued ok for the rest of the 7 mile ride. Similar experience day 3.
Day 4 barely 1 mile in and the same issue: power cuts out. Engine icon on display flashes with presumably error code 04'. Per user guide: this erro reflect "throttle on high position". Not sure how to translate that as it has just a Power 'Up' and 'Down' button and the setting was '1'.
Sent email to N+ support and waiting for a response.
Update 7/17/24: In contact with CS to identify and resolve the issue.
Update 7/18/24: N+ CS has communicated that issue appears to be with the torque converter. Parts will be shipped to me for the repair work.

Update 08/20/2024
Received replacement battery and display module 7/24/24. FInally got to install the units on 8/12. Battery did not charge. REached out to CS and they immediately sent another replacement battery as well as a pre-paid return label for what would appear ro be a defective battery. After installing the new battery pack and replacing the display unit, the ebike features are working as expected.
All thu' the process (approx 2+ months), N+ Customer Service were on top of it with frequent communication and responses to follow up questions.
The City Racer is agile and almost as responsive as my Specialized Stumpjumper, which is approx 10 lbs lighter.
Upgrading my rating to 5 stars

Experience with Elizabeth was…

Experience with Elizabeth was satisfactory. I got the required pdf illustrating belt removal to facilitate rear wheel removal for flat tire/tube replacement. However, her “strong recommendation” to “complete the change over” at a “professional mechanic” only makes sense in the extremely unlikely event of a spontaneous flat in my garage or if it occurs exactly at the mechanic’s location. It makes no sense that a bike owner should have to walk the bike miles to a mechanic’s location when a flat occurs remotely. This recommendation carries a potential safety/security issue. I had to change a flat on the front tire (despite the apparently “puncture free tires”) that occurred in a National Park, immediately after having to stop for a bear. Fortunately the front wheel is simple. It would have been considerably more stressful to change the rear tube without being sure of the belt removal details while a bear was in the area. I accept that the electrical aspects are best handled by an authorized representative, but the n+ Bikes website and online information information on rudimentary maintenance, spare parts, etc. is limited, difficult to find and borders on non-existent.

Mercedes N+ bike - Expensive Lesson

I made a huge mistake buying my friends Mercedes-branded N+ formula-e bike. The PO is a friend of mine that received a bike that was too large for him. N+ refused to refund his money becuase the local Mercedes kept the bike longer than 2 weeks (money back return date) to fix a scratch that happened during shipping. So he was stuck with a bike that he could not ride. I decided to buy it for what he paid because he got it for half price and hey, it’s a Mercedes. I had no idea that there is one service center in the USA and the people that they list as repair resources are a mobile bike repair network guys that will not touch the electronics or stock parts. After about a month, the motor started making an awful scraping noise at less than 250 miles. N+ does not honor warranties beyond the original owner. It took 4 months for my friend, the PO, to request and receive a new motor. The new motor they sent makes a racket that is louder than the original bike motor did when I first bought it.

I have been writing N+ support over the last few days and they have been very sympathetic to my plight. However, they don’t make the rules and can only keep sending defective parts. N+ has discontinued sales of this model and the new models dumped the motor and reengjneered the design on their new models. The end result is that anyone that bought the old model now owns a very unreliable bike that will turn into a door stop shortly after purchase. I for one feel very cheated. The most ironic aspect of this ordeal is that Mercedes is well respected for their customer satisfaction and product quality. Rather than take a huge loss and dump this bike on another unsuspecting person, I plan to and ask Mercedes to either make good or I start talking to local media stations to tell my side of the story. I hate to do this, but they are being ethically challenged here and refuse to admit that they screwed a lot of people out of thousands of dollars with this defect laden bike. They still don’t have a marts list, repair manual or a US network of service centers. I will never own a Mercedes branded anything until this matter is resolved.

You’ll regret buying from NPlus

Purchased the Formula E around 12 months ago.. Had a few issues that I fixed.. Terrible brake pads that sound like metal scraping on metal, grip that were basically wraps that came undone after 4 weeks. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and spent some money to fix the issues. Less than a year later, riding around 40km a week, the belt that supposedly lasts over 30,000km has broken and they want to charge me for a replacement. Finally having to resort to leaving this review. I guess everyone else was right. Avoid this company, do not buy one of their bikes you will only have issues. Extremely low quality components used on their bikes.

They didn't send the correct bike that I ordered trying to get out of them is a joke the response on the email just doesn't happen either refund or the work correct bike we'll get out of the credit card company if they don't respond

Horrendous customer service

Horrendous customer service.
Complete lack of response. Makes the warranty worthless. You have to email them and they simply don’t respond to your questions.
Not sure why Mercedes would sully their name by associating with this company.
