We had the perfect wedding day thanks to Nordic Adventure Weddings. During the pandemic it seemed almost impossible to fathom being able to get married in an international location, let alone the ability to have any friends or family to join us. Fortunately when the small window of opportunity came in the form of travel opening up in the EU, we decided we wanted to have our dream wedding, and are really fortunate we came across this company. Within only a couple days of research, and the prompt correspondence with Lena, who is an amazing wedding coordinator, we were very impressed and had sorted a wedding date and arranged a deposit payment. The unique forest location along with the very competitive costs made it impossible to pass up.

Not only was Lena attentive and available over Whatsapp in the couple months leading up to the big day (we planned this pretty last minute due to all that is going on in the world right now…), but a huge benefit was how easy she made all the paperwork and legalities of things. It only took a few scans of our main documents, and a few days later she had already obtained the marriage license and everything! As a Canadian marrying a German, I had researched all the options, and kept coming across how easier and painless it was to consider Denmark as a place to get married. This was certainly true versus the bureaucracy we faced trying to get married in Germany, but I do strongly believe Lena made it significantly easier and saved us a lot of time and stress. Contacting government departments on your own is impossible at the best of times, let alone during a pandemic. Making this part of the planning process quick and painless was a huge value to us and I’m glad Lena sorted everything so efficiently!

The wedding day itself was perfect. Lena provided a beautiful forest location in Maribo and helped us arrange a private bus to bring our guests to the location. The ceremony was amazing, and everything from the decorations, to arranging a livestream for our family back home who couldn’t make it, and the photographer were top notch. As we had a small wedding of under 20 people, we loved how the wedding itself was both beautiful, but at the same time very relaxed and easy going. As everyone stood in a circle next to various candles and fire pits, the music played on as everyone sipped champagne and we went off for our wedding photos. We elected afterwards to have a lunch at a restaurant nearby, which Lena not only suggested, but arranged for our bus to bring the group to, and wait to bring us all back to our rental houses afterwards.

Lolland Island, where most of the wedding locations offered are is such a great place to relax in and enjoy the outdoors. It’s also only a short ferry ride from Germany, so it was great for some of our family to be able to drive up. Lena was great at referring us to a local house rental company where we hosted our family and friends for the week leading up to the wedding.

Nordic Adventure Weddings made our day absolutely perfect. I would highly recommend them, as they take away all the stress that goes in to planning, and allow you to simply enjoy the moment surrounded by the natural beauty of Lolland Island!

I would like to thank Nordic Adventure for making our wedding day possible despite the short notice. We were supposed to get married 30 August 2021 somewhere else but unfortunately, due to the rise of Covid-19 cases there and it making on the "red list" of my husband's country overnight, we made the heartbreaking decision to cancel and postpone our wedding indefinitely.
The unpredictability of border closure made us feel as if we are racing against time so we decided to look for different country and fortunately, I found Nordic Adventure. I get a hold of Lena and told her what I need and she did everything she could to secure an earliest date for us. We flew in 15 Sep and got married the following day.
I cannot thank her enough for everything that she had done and all the advices she had given me in arranging everything I need for my special day. She was very patient, reliable and very responsive to all my queries and so amazingly understanding to the stress I had. I love how she made the venue exactly how I dreamed of and the after services she provided me with all the legalization of our documents.
Lena and her husband, Carsten are such a wonderful team to work with and an amazing human beings. I am so glad I came across you guys!

My fiancé and I decided to elope and started looking for a company that could help us navigate the intricacies of getting married outside of the United States. We looked at a few companies and ultimately decided to go with Nordic Adventure Weddings. It was probably the best decision we could have made while planning our elopement. From the moment we reached out to them, they took care of everything. They helped us plan and execute the wedding of our dreams. When we reached out we explained that we wanted to get married on a cliff overlooking the ocean and they found the perfect spot, scouted it out to make sure it was perfect a few days before the wedding, organized the photographer and officiant, and even brought us a beautiful bottle of champagne to celebrate after the ceremony. As I write this review, I am looking at a few of the pictures that the photographer sent us and I am blown away by how perfect it all was. If you are planning on eloping or even having a more traditional wedding, I could not recommend Nordic Adventure Weddings more highly.

A lovely couple posted there and got married with the help of Nordic Adventure Weddings and from that post we also gave it a try to inquire with their services. Best decision we ever made! Our hassle free and stress free elopement wedding all because of Nordic Adventure Weddings. We availed their Romantic Location Package and got married at Bandholm Hotel. Lena was very helpful throughout the whole process. It was easy to understand what documents we need to prepare. She kept it as simple as possible for us. We had to change the location of the ceremony due to holidays+sickness in the local municipality and Lena managed that excellently. Booking Nordic Advent Weddings was the best decision we ever made. From the moment we started planning to receiving our photos it has been so straightforward and easy. Lena was with us every step of the way, with dealing with travel restrictions and any question she was always just the other end of a text message. Great and timely coordination. Apart from providing some basic documents to the team, everything is taken care of by them. They also picked us up as part of the package we chose, provided bubbly and the ceremonial service with beautiful decorations. We got the official certificate on the same day. Legalization requires 2 more days and they send you the document via speed post. Great and professional experience. Always reachable to answer our many questions. Highly recommended!

Nordic Adventure Weddings are amazing wedding planners! From our first email of enquiry to our beautiful intimate wedding day, Lena & Carsten were a dream to work with. They took the stress out of planning a wedding from overseas & we felt secure in their professional hands.
We choose the Hide Away package & from the moment we stood in the forest and saw the treehouse, we knew we were about to experience a wonderful and special moment in our lives that we would never forget. The treehouse and the beautiful diverse forest surrounding it made us feel at one with nature and added in a very unique way to our elopement. Meals were also included in this package & we tasted some delicious, seasonal homemade Danish cuisine.
Our wedding ceremony was held on the shores of a fjord & we had the entire place to ourselves. Our photographer captured some beautiful shots & our registrar made our ceremony feel incredibly personal.

I am Canadian, my husband is Irish. Getting married when you live in two different countries is difficult. Not with them, everything was taken care of, all we did was pick where and show up ready to celebrate our love.

The day was so lovely, just what we wanted. We added personal touches, like our desire for hand fasting. The rose garden was beautiful and the pictures are perfect.

The paperwork for both countries was also taken care of so all we had to do was honeymoon in beautiful Denmark. I highly recommend!

Nordic adventures helped us have our dream wedding. We eloped with the help of them on the beautiful island of Bornholm and we couldn't be happier. From the location they helped pick out, to the hotel, and the recommendations they gave us for our time afterwards on the island, everything was exactly like we hoped it was. Lena was always available via Text or phone and managed to pull all this of in record time.

We had a wonderful wedding, everything was well arranged from the beginning on. The contact was nice and Lena responded quickly. When it was our big day, they picked a nice spot on the beach without people in bading suits on the pictures. The day was perfect, thank you Lena!

We had such an amazing wedding experience!

From the moment I contacted Lena from Nordic Adventure Weddings, it was more than I could have asked for. Lena helped us step-by-step in figuring out what we needed, when we needed it by, and submitting all the paperwork on our behalf. I only had to send her a few documents and the rest was all set. She was extremely communicative throughout the entire process and gave us plenty of time when she needed something from us. We were a little nervous about COVID but she reassured us that we would figure something out and, if not, they would reschedule everything for us. She even helped us with recommending a place to stay in Maribo.

Once we arrived, everything was super easy. We met the team at their headquarters so they could walk us over to town hall. The entire team was so fun and nice, it put us immediately at ease. They even filmed the whole thing for us so we could share it with family. Lena had brought a photographer who was super nice and we were able to take some really nice photos on our day. The ceremony was super easy, paperwork all ready for us, and they shared cherry wine, special to the region. They even got us our first wedding gift of regional treats.

Overall it was perfect and I would do it all over again in this same exact way. I can't thank the team enough for making a COVID-elopement so incredibly special!
