Excellent Service

Priority next day delivery not moved in ten days

I chose this delivery company primarily due to the reviews here on Trustpilot. I needed an international priority, next-day service, which I was happy to pay extra for (circa £88). Unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing and adds an element of caution when reading the reviews posted to date.

A parcel sent over two weeks ago on 12/12/25 using this service had been showing as at a known location (so not lost) for more than a week and as of 27/12/25 this "priority - next day delivery" remains undelivered. The same response has been given every day for over a week: “we are powerless to identify the cause and will definitely come back to you tomorrow with an update.” Despite calling every single day, neither the delivery company nor FedEx (which they use to deliver parcels) has been able to explain why the parcel is not moving or when it will progress.

A significant issue appears to stem from the use of a third-party carrier. As FedEx will only communicate directly with their own customer (in this case, NI Parcels), I have been unable to obtain any answers myself and have had to rely entirely on this intermediary. When an intermediary is unable to get clarity or take effective action, the customer is left completely stranded — which highlights the inherent risk of this delivery model.

While the customer service staff I spoke to have been easy to contact and very polite, there has been a consistent inability to provide meaningful information or take ownership of the issue at an early stage. This is particularly frustrating given that the service was expressly sold and paid for as next-day delivery. Needless to say that customers who write positive reviews and return time and time again are those who receive the service they paid for and not those who are forced to spend many hours on the phone every day for over a week, only to face the possibility of having to make a claim against the company for failed service and incurred losses.

I appreciate that delays can happen with international shipments, but the lack of transparency, accountability, and clear communication has made this a very frustrating experience. I do sincerely hope this company reviews its processes with FedEx and improves how situations like this are handled in future.

Naturally I shall update this review if this shipment ever does get delivered to reflect that fact. However due to the extraordinary delay caused - I believe - by the consistent inability to provide meaningful information or take ownership of the issue at an early stage, critical points of this review (should it remain here) have become rather unalterable.

Hi Rick, thank you for your review and for using NI Parcels. We're sorry to hear of any issues you may have had with your recent delivery from Italy to the UK.

The delay on this was due to a clearance delay for the item leaving Italy with their associated customs agency as well as a delay caused by the busy holiday period which was clearly advised to all customer before booking. NI Parcels does make it clear that we are a courier comparison site and that when you obtain a quote, you choose the third party carrier you wish to use.

We are sorry again about this delay as customs are a government agency and can request additional information or hold a shipment pending the clearance process. Damaged parcel

The box arrived broken in three places and two of the things inside were broken or damaged. Never hapoened before and I have been using parcelsNI for past 7 years. Very dissapointing

It is very rare for any shipment to be damaged as long as they are well packaged and protected for transit inside a courier network. We have reported this to our team who will reach out to you shortly to request further details of any reported damage.

Once the parcels were actually collected (which didn't happen at the date of first booking, but had to be rebooked) they were then delivered very promptly!
