I brought a new world built in oven…
I brought a new world built in oven last March by June the fan had gone engineer came out ordered wrong fan week later came again to fit it guess what wrong one so kicked up a fuss it would take three weeks so got a new cooker great I thought by October said fan had gone again so out came the engineer again all fine now 4 months later fan gone yet again surely there must be a fault with this cooker now I have to wait another week or so for an engineer and no doubt z few more for the right fan avoid st all cost WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER NEW WORLD EVER have to say the call centre have been great but when you rely on the cooker it's a pain when it didn't work didn't cook that well without the fan

New World Oven NW601DFDOL failed after 18 months
New World Oven NW601DFDOL bought July 2017.
You get one year warranty as standard.
Early Jan 2019 and the main oven has now failed.
Previously, other faults have occurred:
The control knobs eventually wear and break off. Just with the act of turning it on & off!
The composite plastic clips that hold the glass doors get lost (£5.50+ PER CLIP)
The hob/oven signs on the hob are simply screen printed and wear off in a matter of months.
All in, after just 18 months, the main function of the Oven has failed.
This is a designed-to-fail appliance so it WILL cost you most to replace & repair it after just a short time.
Avoid like the plague.
Shame because you’d expect more from a British brand.

Five star service.
Had an issue with my New World oven/grill which is ten months old. the engineer arrived the next morning and resolved the issue which was nothing to do with the oven but lack of ventilation at the base of the oven housing. This was quickly resolved.
Excellent response time and knowledgeable engineer. Can't fault the service, five star.
After care is shocking
After care is shocking! Just waited 18 minutes to get through when the automated message said I was first in the queue! Gave up at 20:00 when they closed...someone got their feet up rather than answer the phone?! Grrrrr

Deficit cooker and dreadful customer services
I bought fairly expensive Newworld cooker (60EDOC) with a defrost facility for the main oven, back in March this year. The defrost means the fan is engaged, but of course not the heating element. It doesn't work, and when Newworld called out an engineer he confirmed that the fan is linked to the thermostat and cannot be operated without some heat - definitely not suitable for defrosting - for example - chicken!
So, the engineer filed a report, some weeks ago, and I called to see what Newworld would do. I was promised that the issue was being escalated and I would receive a call in the next few days. 10 days later I called again, and was again promised a call in a few days. Another week to 10 days later and I am still waiting. I have been extremely polite throughout, by the way.
I agree with the reviewer who says they felt customer services couldn't care less. They are being astonishingly rude, and I will never use them again. I am now forced to consider taking further action under consumer law, as it is quite clear to me that Newworld are not going to offer me any solution. A truly dreadful company.

We brought a New World Dual Fuel Double Cooker We have had it for 3year we have had to buy 2 new sets of Knob at £100 a time this is because they are plastic and break once the get warm from opening the ovens,I would never have a New World Double oven again.The knobs have all broken again and the cooker has been condemed as the knobs failed again.We have spend an added £300 pounds and to me once the problem was known why could you not retify the problem and 2 Stars was generous

Beware if you ever need any spares for your oven. Absolutely appalling customer care. No communication/emails if placing a web order, and when you speak to their spares team they couldn't care less. Not at all willing to try and resolve issues.

Cooker Repair - Exemplary
Well, what can I say! The eye level grill on my cooker ceased to work - huge nuisance. Eventually decided to call New World to ask about the possibility of spare parts/repair. Even though my cooker was not under warranty they promised to sent an engineer (free of charge) to fix it. The engineer arrived today - fabulous. In this day and age, it isn't always easy to have confidence in customer service - New World proved me wrong. They responded quickly and sorted the problem quickly with very good friendly service from everyone involved. Wonderful. Bowled over. Can't thank Rebecca and Sean enough for all their assistance.

Having spent just under £400
Having spent just under £400, I expected to get a quality product. The 60cm Double oven ceramic hob cooker looks good.
After 3 months it broke down. The Element failed and waited 2 weeks for a replacement to be fitted. All working again and 3 months after that, So it's now 6 months old, the oven door fell off!! I can't quite believe it. I rang again and they booked the repair for a week later. Now they just rang again, the day before the engineer was due saying the part might take a while longer to come in...next week was mentioned. But I don't even have an engineer booked now! I've no idea how I'm going to provide meals for my family with no cooker!
I'm really upset. I spent a lot of money thinking I'd be getting a cooker that would last about 10 years like my old one....But this is clearly not the quality product I thought I'd bought!
Ive got a young child who is on a limited diet due to Learning Difficulties and I can't cook the food he eats....It's making my life very difficult!
I wish I'd never bought it, but I can't afford a new one. This is a new one.
Oh, I forgot to mention, when it was delivered it had a small fault on the white painted area, there's a tiny area where the paint raises up, like something was on the metal when they sprayed it and it got stuck underneath. It's very small but it's there. I should have complained then really.
Not Impressed New World! I wish I could ask for my money back....I've still got 6 months left on my Warranty too, it's honestly been like one of those stories you see on Watchdog!

Mother in law’s New World cooker burns…
Mother in law’s New World cooker burns food both in cooker and on the hobs. Two engineers have come out and first one shrugged shoulders when asked how do I make the hobs go lower. Also told to move oven temp contro up and down to control temperature. Yet cooker deemed fine so no repair needed and no refund or exchange from Curry’s. Neither engineer actually listened to my mother in law nor did they cook any food or bake. They tested temperature etc and that’s all.

Faulty induction cooker
Bought a induction cooker and just after the 12 months ran out we had to take out extended warranty because the top stopped working, we had the top replaced and then it happened again had that replaced cancelled the warranty because couldn't afford to pay it and top no 3 has gone, cookers are meant to last years, we regret buying this and new world won't do anything about it, now i can't afford another so stuck without a hob, bought it to save money and has been an absolute nightmare, the least they could do is replace the whole cooker because it clearly isn't fit for purpose

NEW WORLD LACK OF CUSTOMER CARE
My mother, 91, very capable, bought, gas cooker and thought grill handle had been forgotten. We visited Curry’s to be told we has to purchase one. When I explained it was too hot to use without a handle, was told we had to buy one. I asked Curry’s to ring New World customer service. New World sneered at me when I suggested it was not safe and suggested my Mother use oven gloves or pay £23.95. They batted the problem to Curry’s saying that they should have warned us. Shame on you. A grill handle is an essential part. Money needs to be spent on your Customer Service training too. New World are obviously looking to the lower end of market now and not doing job properly in manufacture . I notice there are many, many reviews complaining about this and you are not listening.

I recently requested information regarding spare parts for a NEW WORLD cooker via e mail. My request was dealt with by Rebecca, who was able to identify and quote price for parts.
Later I placed an order with Catherine, who explained the processing of my order without any haste. So refreshing to be treated with care.
Must say both ladies were polite and helpful every step of the way, and deserve credit for their courtesy.
Would not hesitate to recommend.

NEVER BUY their cookers!!
NEVER BUY their cookers!!! Plastic knobs on cookers that get to hot and have dropped off numerous times, and they charge you for the cost of replacing the rubbish knobs, why you charge when your product is substandard is unbelievable. They send you new knobs but always the wrong size the company is an absolute joke. Disgusting customer service. PLEASE NO ONE BUY ANY OF THEIR PRODUCTS!!
