Purchase the bmsatnav upgrade in September 2024 with the USB upgrade total cost €75.00. Now December USB has not arrived, despite several emails.
Obviously making a good living scamming, what a waste of money.

Purchased maps and the received a message saying I had ordered the wrong ones (the website selects the maps based on your VIN) and was told I needed to pay 100 pounds for a cable to install them. Tried to cancel on the chat, with no response, then emailed to request cancelation - no response. This appears to be a scam. Requesting my bank to cancel pament now.

After downloading and unzipping the files transferred to a 64Gb USB stick formatted to Fat 32 all as per instructions. The file structure on the stick was exactly as the instructions. The car read the stick (watch USB in Media) and then failed to recognise it. The whole process was repeated over several days using both a Windows 11 PC and a laptop all with negative results. Final attempt using an old Windows 7 laptop worked perfectly. Suspect problem related to the 'System Volume Information' folder created by Windows 10/11 and tricky to remove. Windows 7 does not create this folder on a USB stick and also allows easy deletion of the file. Worth a try if you are struggling. Finally Navigation is fully updated and working properly, pity its such a temperamental process. Only recommend if you are reasonably good on your PC/Laptop and very keen to update.

I bought a map and I was supposed to be able to download only 5 times. I click on the link, which counts the use but does not download it. They trick you! Please be aware!!!

Updates didn't work. Asked Sebastian for a refund. Completely ignored me . PayPal got involved and eventually got my money back. Stay away from this company. Scammer

I recently bought Road Map Europe MOVE 2022. An email arrived immediately with links to download the maps and an activation code arrived within the 2 hours promised. It took about 15 minutes to download the maps and a bit longer to transfer them to the car via USB. I did use a decent USB which would have helped a bit. The activation code is long and care needs to be taken to enter it correctly. The whole process requires some technical understanding e.g. the USB needs to be formatted in a particular way. However, this was all explained in the instructions. Next time I need a map I’ll buy from here.

The instructions were poor. I eventually succeeded. I definitely will not pass this way again. Balog Francisc Sebastian does not communicate.

I obtained download instructions and an activation code. I copied the update to a USB stick which my X3 recognised and requested an activation code. The code supplied did not work. I tried 3 times with the same result. I wrote to Sebastian Balog twice requesting help. I received no reply. After waiting two weeks for some response from NAVupdates.co.uk I gave up.

I used Navupdates to update my BMW 330d 2011 satnav to 'Road Map Europe PREMIUM 2021-1 + FSC Code'.

The Instructions were good but I initially inserted the usb into the port in the central aisle which did not start the update. I emailed Sebastion for help and he replied the next day asking me if I was using the USB port in the glove box. This is not easy to see but when I located it and inserted the USB stick, containing the files, the sat nav update message appeared and on entering the FSC code the system successfully updated.
For me using navupdates was a good experience.

BMW 5 serice 'NEXT' maps update. Initially the code didn't work. Caused by my typo error of the VIN number. Quickly resolved by Sebastian who provided the correct code by return email. Update was smooth and now have 2021 maps. I think you need to be a teeny bit computer savvy to do this upgrade yourself, or find someone who is. Also use a good quality USB stick. You should be fine to save a few quid with this company

I purchased the 20-21 Europe Route for my BMW late July 21. The file and codes came back quickly. I was unable to download , when I scrutinised the file, it was last updated October 19. I immediately contacted Sebastian, who said he would refund. Since then he has ignored all contact. BMW confirm the latest version was issued January 2021.

Well sadly I was stupid enough to purchase this before reading Trustpilot reviews. The process of downloading the maps and FSC code was fine for me but the update failed (after taking over and hour) at 76.4%. The files were on the right kind of USB stick and in the right port.

For his part Sebastien was very helpful after the first message but when my second and third attempts both failed at the same point and I floated the idea of a refund he went silent on me.

He also mentioned that my car's hard drive might have a bad sector. Well he can't prove that my hardware is the problem and I can't prove that his software is either. Might have considered a partial refund as a compromise but looks like I'll get nothing back.

I can live with losing £30, not the end of the world, what is much more concerning to me is that this process has now bricked my sat nav. It is completely unusable, shows no map data and has a blank screen when you go to check the version.

Should have gone to BMW and ponied up the money. Have now ordered a £700 Android Auto upgrade instead as I have no means of navigation.

If Sebastien gets back to me and resolves this I will remove this review but I ain't holding my breath.

UPDATE: After escalating this with PayPal Sebastien did give me my money back so if you have difficulties with this product then go that route. Credit to him for resolving this in the end, it is just a shame he ignored my initial request for a refund and I had to get PayPal involved.

I still cannot rate the product or service higher than one star, my sat nav remains in a broken state and I had to pay £700 for an Android Auto retrofit instead.

If this is the product which updates my 2016 Silverado navigation, it is really bad. Paid $99 for updates, nothing really changed. Still calls a highway by its number changed in the 1960's. Gives directions using alleyways if it is shorter than main roads. Has missing or inaccurate road and street names. Can't find many addresses because the street isn't in their system. I wouldn't update again even if it were free.

Product didn’t work. The FSC codes they provided were not valid. They stopped communicating and finally offered to get a new code after threatening to go to my credit card and reporting fraud. I requested a refund instead, which to date hasn't posted.

Back in September 20, I obtained an update and had no problems. Did receive a couple of emails, with updates and experience no real issues.

Please do not get anything from this website they are definitely a fraud. I ordered a Europe premium map for my BMW for £30. I received an email where there was a link to download also in the email they mentioned I will receive FSC code within 2 hours but now it’s more than 5 days still no codes been sent. I contact these fraud people few times but no reply so please do not buy anything from them. Hope my money will be recovered through PayPal.😡😡😡

Despite the negative reviews below I decided to purchase a £30 map update for my 2012 BMW. It was running on a 2011 Motion version and was sorely in need of an update.

As soon as the purchase was made I received an email with the link to the new map downloads. The email also informed me that the FSC would follow.

Just over two hours later the FSC code was emailed to me and Sebatian sent me an email to confirm it had been sent.

The downloads also included a pdf with instructions on how to transfer the update to a USB stick and then upload it to my car. Although the instructions were clear I missed the bit that said use the USB port in the glove box. I managed to figure this out and now my navigation is running on 2020 Motion map.

From my experience I give Navupdates 5 stars.

To save around £80 I came to this site thinking I would update my 2015 F10.
First few emails were hunky dory but as soon as I asked for the refund as downloads weren’t working he Mr Balog Francisc Sebastian disappeared. Now I have asked PayPal to intervene so fingers crossed I’ll get my £39.99 back. Total scumbag 🤬

Having read the previous user experiences on here, i was a little bit sceptical of ordering from this website, but they were the only place i could find the exact type of map i needed for my 2014 BMW, so i took the gamble.
I paid by PayPal just incase anything went wrong.
I recieved the download link almost immediately after purchasing the map on their website, but after a few hours had passed, there was still no FSC code, so i sent an email via the website. I got a reply about an hour later saying that the BMW servers were under maintainance and i would recieve my code the next day. I wasn't sure what to beleive but I went along with it. By 2pm the folling day i had still not heard anything, so I sent another polite email asking when the FSC code would be coming and if it's not that i would get myself a refund from PayPal. About 4 hours later i got an email in my Junk mail which had the FSC code in it. Thankfully, it worked, and all was well in the end. I have to admit, i probably wouldn't use them again, and i would air on the side of caution when using this retailer, as a little bit of persistence seems to be required to get the FSC code. This is just my experience.

I found navupdates & purchased the BMW Road Map Europe MOVE 2019 + FSC Code at £29.99. The map download link was sent immediately with easy to follow instructions on how to install the map. A note was attached explaining the FSC code was generated manually and would take from 30 mins to 2 hours to be processed.
Two hours passed and I had not received the code, in the meantime I found all the negative reviews and thought dam it I have been had. I used the contact form on their website to say 3 hours have passed since I paid for your service, sorry to say this but after seeing the reviews on Trustpilot I doubt you will send an activation code.
Well it turns out I was wrong they responded within 15 mins & apologised for the delay they explained they had a technical issue and the code would be sent to me within 30 mins. True to their word I received the code.
My old map was from 2016 there are quite a few new roads nearby that were not on the old map but they are on this updated one. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the delay in receiving the code. I will use the company again.

I have added some tips to help others
Make sure your maps can be updated via a USB the map should have an icon with a tick in the bottom left corner if not you cannot update your map via the USB.
To check the map version go to your iDrive navigation view, open the settings menu and scroll down to Navigation system version. You will see the region, map version and year of your current map.
Make sure you order the correct map type for your system.
Make sure you give them the correct last 6 digits from your chassis number.
Make sure you have a good quality USB stick (16gb or more) formatted to FAT32.
Follow the instructions exactly as they say.
The map can take a long time to install.
