Dear Porsche,
Dear Porsche,
I would like to express my sincere thanks to your team at Porsche York, and in particular to Adrian and Kate, for their outstanding service.
Adrian was extremely helpful in fitting me in at short notice to replace the battery in my key and to check the car’s computer system. His assistance, along with the thoughtful gesture of topping up the screen wash, was very much appreciated.
Kate, as always, was exceptionally professional and welcoming. She has a wonderful way of making customers feel genuinely valued, and nothing ever seems too much trouble.
It is truly refreshing to receive this level of care and attention without even having to ask. The team consistently goes the extra mile, and it does not go unnoticed.
Please pass on my thanks to Adrian, Kate, and everyone at Porsche York.
Kindest regards,
Roger

Brand new 911 (992) in Aug 24…
I bought a brand new 911,992.2 in Aug 2024.
911s are supposed to be serviced every 2 years, however they 'forgot' to reset the car service system.
I now have to drive around for 6 months with dashboard warnings or get a service 6 months early.
The reason for 1 star? Porsche UK Customer Service.
Disastrous experience with Porsche West…
Disastrous experience with Porsche West London: my headlights were stolen before Christmas, and it still hasn't been fixed. The contractor must complete the bodywork, but they refuse to adjust their estimate in line with the insurance assessment. They will not reconsider, and Porsche, having outsourced the repair, accepts no responsibility for the delay or lack of communication. I am asking Porsche to resolve this issue promptly, ensure clear communication, and take accountability for their contractor’s actions. They do not care. This is the first and last time I'm buying a Porsche; their customer service has destroyed their reputation, and, disappointingly, they don't seem to care.
HUGE PORSCHE DISCOUNTS IN 2026 FROM EVERY DEALER
Bought a Porsche Cabriolet 992.2 last July from Listers Hull Porsche. The list price of the car was £134k and after an accident on my bike I needed to sell the car and the offer from Listers was £102k. Record depreciation over 8 months of ownership! Porsche has increased the price of their cars to such a level they now have to be discounted by over 10% in every dealership due to over supply and under demand.
DO NOT BUY A NEW PORSCHE 911 WITHOUT AT LEAST £15k OFF LIST PRICE and avoid LISTERS HULL at all costs
Shocking service Porsche Sidcup
Got a phone call about my taycan saying service was due required a loan car as part of my service so I booked the soonest available date which was 4 months away.. was then told that date would invalidate my warranty as needed to be serviced within a month of the service due date.. after explaining this was Porsche Sidcup not me that couldn’t meet the date before then they Miraculously come up with a date 3 months earlier and booked me in.After my hour and half drive in I arrived at Porsche Sidcup on the day of service to be told the loan car wasn’t available I explained I needed a loan car due to work commitments and that this was booked far in advance they asked the sales department if they could loan a car but unfortunately they don’t have any. find that very hard to believe with the amount of cars stacked up out side the place. For a premium car brand the service from Porsche Sidcup is the worst I have experience.
What is it with Porsche sales people?
I love Porsche cars but their sales people need some serious ass kicking.
I bought my first Porsche back in 1977 and have had quite a few since. Apart from Porsche Belfast the buying experience has been shocking. Service dept not much better. I could actually write a book on their failings but here’s two examples.
I bought my last one in 2012, I specified factory collection, it was almost treble the price of the quoted option. They said it was because I was coming from Scotland and wanted to use the Ijmuden/Newcastle ferry on the return journey and the option price was based on London flights to Stuttgart and using the Channel Tunnel. Fair enough.
Time for collection, tickets arrived - return tickets! Now I knew why they were so expensive! I called Porsche Glasgow saying these are return tickets, I'm not taking the car back to Stuttgart. They said sorry we will refund you the difference. 14 years later and lots of emails and phone calls, nothing has ever been returned.
About 10 years ago I sold my Porsche and said to myself I'll never have another.
About a month ago I succumbed into wanting another one. Being disabled but using a Brompton bike instead of a wheelchair for mobility, I had to find out if my bike would still fit in the front boot. I emailed Porsche in Perth. No reply. (and still no reply) So I went through at the weekend on spec. 80 mile round trip.
After some time a salesman came over, said it wouldn't fit. I said I'd come all this way can I at least have a look, he said I'm telling you it wont fit. But went away and got a key. We went outside. It fitted fine. He asked what kind of Porsche I wanted. I told him Its been some time since I last had one and a bit out of touch but I really preferred Caymans to 911's.
He walked away. No asking my name, phone number email address nothing. Just wandered away.
What is it with these guys?
Do not take financing from Porsche - if your car is stolen they prevent new car replacements and cost you £000s to protect a a side deal with one provider
Do not take financing from Porsche if you buy a new car.
When my car was stolen in the first year, Porsche's finance company stopped my insurer from providing me with the new car replacement I was entitled to under my policy.
Porsche Financial Services has done a side deal with one car replacement provider, Vizion, and if your insurer doesn't happen to use them, you will not get your new car but instead have to settle the agreement and probably lose £000s and £000s, as I have done.
Have discovered that insurers and car replacement providers only have this issue with companies owned by Volkswagen Financial Services.
So if you're buying a Porsche, look for finance elsewhere and avoid Porsche/Volkswagen Financial Services at all costs!!
AVOID SOUTH LONDON PORSCHE
AVOID SOUTH LONDON PORSCHE, and if you can avoid Porsche all together especially if you are a woman. I have had a horrendous experience with the above dealership and Porsche HQ refused to take any responsibility. I bought a crayon coloured Cayenne 72 reg which had issues from day one, condensation inside the car leaving windows foggy, condensation covering the majority of the headlights, windows refusing to go down when cold, boot getting stuck, sensors not available more often than not, radio not working, screen going blank with red messages appearing. Literally dashboard lighting up like a Christmas tree. I had photo and video evidence and all I was told was that it was normal. Like I didn’t know what I was talking about. That it was user error. I ended up rejecting the car albeit they tried to drag their feet. Less than 24 hrs after I’ve seen they put the car back up for sale for more than I bought it. They could not have possibly even looked at it never mind fixed any of the issues. They are negligent and just simply don’t care.
I had a very bad experience
I had a truly terrible experience with Porsche York Center. I purchased a 911 and within just one day discovered that one of the keys didn’t work. The car wouldn’t recognize it, which left me stuck inside the vehicle multiple times, with the alarm blaring, completely unable to get out. An unacceptable situation for a car of this price and supposed prestige.
What made everything worse was the lack of communication and accountability. After sending the V5 within days, no one bothered to follow up with me, inform me about parts, or keep me updated. They left me in the dark and showed zero proactivity. A Porsche dealership should be offering courtesy cars, clear updates, and proper service — none of which I received.
To add insult to injury, I was promised the Silverstone experience as part of my purchase, but after this whole ordeal I have no interest in it. What I want instead is the equivalent value, since Porsche York has completely destroyed the sense of excitement and trust in the brand.
Overall: careless, unprofessional, and totally unworthy of the Porsche name. If you are considering buying from Porsche York Center, think twice — once they’ve sold you the car, their customer service is non-existent.
My headlights on my Porsche Cayenne…
My headlights on my Porsche Cayenne have now been stolen for a third time in 11 months . I’ve asked Porsche if they can alarm them or fit ones that are not so good at growing cannabis plants. They told me they can’t do anything - the complete lack of customer care is a joke. My advice to others owners who don’t use secure off street parking is don’t buy a Porsche with matrix lights . Mine is getting sold after its third 8 week garage experience in 11 months !’
Not the luxury experience you imagine - car doesn’t work!
I’ve had a new Porsche Taycan since November 2023. The car is lovely to drive…..when it works. Unfortunately the car is littered with electrical faults and issues which Porsche take no responsibility for. The charging ports fail to open leaving me with the inability to charge the car. This particular issue has occurred 5 times since I’ve had the car, each time being “repaired” by Porsche only for it to happen again. The boot and front boot refused to unlock sporadically meaning you can put items in your boot at the start of your journey and then it doesn’t open when you reach your destination. It also means you have no access to safety features such as warning triangle and tyre repair kit should you break down. And a few months ago the car had a major electrical fault refusing even to turn on. The AA had to manually unlock the car and then drag it out of our drive way as there was no power at all. I missed an important business meeting as I live in a rural location and did not receive a courtesy car until the end of the day. The 9volt battery was replaced which I was advised would repair the ongoing fault with the charging ports, however 4 months later the charging ports have failed again. I’ve chased Porsche again and again for acknowledgement of these issues which is not exactly the luxury experience I was envisioning.
Expensive and ineffective service support
My first Porsche servicing experience at the West London Garage in Chiswick, was very the worst I have ever experienced from any brand.
They had my car for a week and basically did nothing. No communication, no progress, no fault found. They were willing to do a £875 oil change but could not be bothered to trouble shoot a warranty fault, other than run their diagnostic test. Very disappointing. Its also in a terrible location on the A4.
Actually the first brand I have had for years that do not come and pick up your for local servicing. Any company that wants to charge £875 for an oil change can should offer better service.
Not recommended.
Don't buy one of their repair manuals…
Don't buy one of their repair manuals in the US. They send you an inoperable .vlc file.
Porsche YORK after sales our Macan
Porsche YORK have been brilliant with after sales service with our Macan. They understood the issues with a problem and took steps to resolve successfully. Matthew was particularly helpful and fundamental in achieving a positive result.
Inflating work prices.
Macan went in to have a badge changed, 3 months after paying over £2,000 (yes, 2K) for a service and Porsche Health Check, which it passed with flying colours.
But it’s Porsche, isn’t it.
They did ANOTHER health check. This time, oddly, it needed over £2,600 of work on the rear suspension. (Porsche speak 2 shock absorbers. 2 shock absorbers - £2,600 ………….. ).
When I quite reasonably asked if anything could be done about the cost, they looked shocked, even though it had just been serviced and ‘Health Checked’ within three months.
Phoned a sister dealership less than an hour away, who quoted over £1,000 less for the exact same job.
When I told Cardiff this, they said it was impossible to do it for that price (still loads of money for two shocks), and made up nonsense about shop time as it would need things like a four wheel align, which takes an hour alone. Phoned Tewkesbury who said it did not need a four wheel align.
Yes, phone around, but this is the SAME chain of Porsche dealers charging more than £1,000 for the same work.
New badge was nice though.
Truly awful
Truly awful! Car had issues from first drive. Absolute refusal to accept a return! Avoid at all cost!
Nice cars but the price gouging is…
Nice cars but the price gouging is absurd.
Excessive pricing
Called to enquire about the price of a diagnostic test to check a management light and was told all service agent were busy and they will all me back shortly, over 3 1/2 hours later I get a young lady who clearly knows nothing about the working of a motor vehicle and with a matter of fact attitude tells me the job is a minimum of 1 1/2 hours. I tell her that I have spoken with 2 other Porsche agent one being part of their group and they say it’s a maximum of 1 hour so why are they quoting 11/2 hrs? She tells me they can choose to charge what they like and that’s their charge regardless of what the other centres want to charge. Bad attitude and bad customer service. I most certainly will not be taking my vehicle here even though they are the closest to me.
Avoid Porsche East London
Avoid Porsche East London – Unacceptable Quality & Service
I expected world-class reliability and service from Porsche, but my experience has been a nightmare. I purchased a Taycan from Porsche East London, and within the first week, it broke down. Over the course of 16 months, it failed four times, leaving me unable to use it for 11 of those months, yet Porsche refused to take responsibility bar repeat attempts to fix the same issues. I only had the car on the road 4 months of actual use in 14 months of ownership - before finally rejecting it.
The service department was slow, unhelpful, and dismissive, with no urgency in resolving major faults on a £100k+ car. For a brand that prides itself on performance and engineering, this level of failure is inexcusable. If you're considering a Porsche, think twice**** especially a Taycan. Stay clear of Porsche East London unless you want endless headaches and a car that spends more time off the road than on it.
Terrible service
Terrible service. The manager of Porsche West London Dean Kiedyk clearly does not give two hoots about the way that Porsche treat their clients. There is a complete lack of leadership and ownership that is clear throughout the customer experience from the person that answers the phone, to the time it takes to get through to the service centre to the actual catalogue of errors that occur when trying to source an appointment to rectify shortcomings in the delivery of a brand new car that one pays over 140k for. Shocking and completely unacceptable. Complaints are not taken seriously and there is no recognition of errors which is why things will never improve here.
