I would have been more pleased if motorpoint look after there returning customers with some sort of loyalty scheme when purchasing another car we have had four cars now and returning the last one to you which we only had for 6 months decreased by £5500 then to see it back up for sale for £4000 more than what we got back in part ex wasn’t great to see,also the new car has a fault on it from the time we drove it home and now I have to wait a month before it can even be looked at yes the prices there are good when buying but in future I will have to consider looking around more thanks

An amazing choice of cars in the newport store, i was able to take as long as i like to view and then test drive the car that i wanted. Chris Kettle then ordered the car from manchester for me as the manchester store had the colour i wanted and lower mileage than the one i had taken for a test drive. Very friendly and helpful.

Mixed experience, it all depends on person you get to help you. People on reception welcoming & helpful. Staff not pushy for you to buy. However, first person who assisted us said he would call me but never did (even though I chased him), did not offer test drive, said they would put some petrol in the car (but didn't & only just had enough to get to nearest petrol station) and left us waiting for over 20 mins and dealt with a person who arrived after us, we ended up dealing with someone else. This person was more helpful. A large number of cars to choose from, most with a low mileage. They did all paperwork at time of purchase.

I booked to sell my car, arrived 10 minutes before my 11am appointment was told to take a seat in the coffee area and someone would be with us. Someone came over asked what we were waiting for and said he would find someone, 20 minutes later we were still waiting while other customers arrived and were dealt with straightaway (probably because they were buying or looking to buy a car). While we were sat waiting there was plenty of staff just wondering about. I appreciate things can run over and appointment times can be slightly delayed but when you have booked an appointment, spoken to three people about what your there for and then to still just be left waiting was slightly frustrating. Then when we get seen, we go through everything and I explain I have partial service history and that it is logged online with MG as that is how it is done so I don’t actually have paperwork, my car is then taken for a test drive, comes back and then I’m told there is four dents on the drivers side, I’ve not noticed them so taken out to be shown, one small dent above the wheel arch, then the others he actually struggled to see and pointed out the same one twice. Then I’m told that will take my quote down by £400 as each dent is £100 (when there clearly wasn’t 4 in the first place) and I don’t believe for one second that “their dent guy will charge them £100 per dent” as I was told! I’m then told my quote will go down by another £400 as they have to mark I have no service history, I don’t understand what the point of having it all done online is if then I’m told you can’t actually see that so it basically means no service history, surely if this is how dealerships are doing service history you have access to this or it’s pointless being done online. So I’m then told £800 is being taken off, at this point I have no choice but to go ahead as I already had a new car and needed my current one sold. We’re then told he needs to re enter it online so it creates the right quote as that is what they go off, then he goes to find another member of staff to check it with, comes back and it’s now £900 off my original quote (apparently the online quote was taking off £1300, but they could do £900 as good will) again by this point we had been there over an hour and I had no choice but to go ahead as I said I needed the car sold. We came away very frustrated as it’s not our fault the service history is done online and surely a big car sales company like yourselves should have access to this or it’s pointless! Then the dent issue when there clearly wasn’t four dents and £100 off for each one when I couldn’t even been show all four properly seems like a joke, I could understand if they were big dents but the only one I was really shown was about 1cm so to take £100 off seems ridiculous! I couldn’t do anything but accept this offer as again we needed to sell it as we already had a new car and had drove over an hour to sell it. Overall I was really disappointed with our experience of selling my car and the outcome and the customer service, I would not recommend and would never use again.

Lauren was very helpful but, the preparation of car was not good . Car was valeted by Stevie Wonder as, even the drivers seat still had a bodily fluid stain on seat and car generally needed a good polish which we carried out ourselves

Had a bizarre experience with team at Motorpoint Newport. I had called ahead to test drive an Alfa Romeo Tonale and had correspondence with the staff at the Newport branch who were perfectly pleasant amd helpful. Went in to test drive the vehicle a couple of days later and was promptly told that they dont allow people to test drive the vehicles 😕 let me have a look at the car but kind of a pointless trip as actually needed to drive it to know whether it was something I wanted to commit to. Really odd experience and has definitely put me off giving them my business.

A fab stress free experience all helped by a fantastic salesman called Marc he went above and beyond my expectation in getting the the right finance deal for me to suit my pocket.

We were left to look at the cars on our own. The staff were excellent, someone was always available when we needed help. They were cheerful, helpful and very patient with us older customers.

Iwan was great, full of energy and really friendly, but just in general you never feel pressurised into buying, all staff are great
