Milly was so helpful with the one little problem i had.

I had an excellent experience buying my Toyota C-HR from Motorpoint Edinburgh.
I travelled all the way from South Shields to Edinburgh to view the car, so I was hoping the journey would be worthwhile—and it definitely was. From my initial enquiry, the communication was excellent, and everything was arranged clearly before I made the trip.
When I arrived at the Edinburgh branch, the staff were friendly, professional and very helpful. I was given plenty of time to look over the car and take it for a test drive, without feeling rushed or pressured. The car was exactly as described, the test drive went really well, and all my questions were answered clearly.
The whole buying process was straightforward and stress-free. I also really appreciated that I never felt pressured into purchasing additional products or extras. Everything was explained properly, allowing me to make my own decision.
I’m extremely happy with my Toyota C-HR and with the service I received from the Motorpoint Edinburgh team. Travelling from South Shields was a fair distance, but the experience made the journey completely worthwhile.
I’d definitely recommend Motorpoint Edinburgh to anyone looking for a quality used car and a professional, hassle-free buying experience.

Easy to deal with sales, and well looked after

Staff were great, it was nice they were able to get the car to Scotland from England, it was the colour and spec we wanted, and having looked at so many others the price was in right range. One small issue with the windshield fluid sensor and they were able to sort it out after we bought it. Only thing was odd was they didn't include the factory mats, hoping we would buy theirs I suppose.

Very well organised.

A great experience from start to finish - walked in on Friday and drove away in my new car on Tuesday! Dougie was excellent, patient and helpful and didn't apply any sales pressure. I've had my car for a week now and driven up to the highlands and back and very happy with it. Would happily use Motorpoint Edinburgh again and highly recommend to others.

Bought the car in June and was promised a set of car Matt's which were supposed to arrive 10day later but never did, after numoures phone calls I was told there was a issue with there system for placing the order, after more phone calls they eventually arrived around 2 weeks late. There was also a issue with service records,. After sales care is pretty poor. Sanjay the salesmen is a helpfull Guy who tried his best for me.

Honesty. Professional and helpful

Bought a car from Motorpoint Edinburgh and collected on 20th June after being promised, in return for taking a £949 extended warranty, that the damaged front bumper would be repaired, I’d receive Peugeot branded mats and a full tank of fuel.

The bumper wasn’t repaired before collection and I had to repeatedly chase the dealership for weeks before it was eventually arranged, after being told it couldn’t be resprayed on collection this was eventually done. Communication throughout was appalling. The car was poorly valeted on collection and the courtesy car I had during repairs was filthy. On collection after repair, nobody even showed me the completed work I was just handed keys and left.

The promised Peugeot mats were also never ordered despite repeated enquiries. I still await these despite collecting my car on 20th June, it’s now 12th August.

The after-sales care has been extremely extremely poor, with emails being ignored and constant chasing required. I was eventually refunded the £949 warranty cost after phoning head office for a resolution as the customer services supervisor has been ignoring my emails. Despite the issues raised, I have had no contact whatsoever since 23rd July from him or anyone at Motorpoint and the wider complaint remains unresolved along with the promised car mats (from my initial purchase and in response to my complaint) have not arrived.

Very disappointing experience from start to finish, would not recommend, would not use again. Only interested in getting a “bang on” sale.

I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience selling my car to Motorpoint.

I got my initial valuation online and then booked an appointment to take the car in. By the time I went along, I’d added a couple of hundred miles to the mileage, so they made a small adjustment to the valuation. This was minimal and completely fair.

They checked the car over, took the keys and pretty much honoured the original valuation I’d been given. There was no hassle, no pressure and no awkward negotiating, the whole process was incredibly straightforward and exactly as I’d been told it would be.

I was also really pleased with the price I received for my car. From getting the initial valuation through to handing over the keys and completing the sale, everything was smooth and stress-free.

It’s not often you can say a car-selling experience was actually enjoyable, but this one really was! I’d definitely recommend Motorpoint to anyone thinking of selling their car.

Straightforward purchase with helpful staff

Both sales associates I dealt with, Mark and Louie, were attentive , professional and gave excellent customer service. After a terrible experience with another dealership, it was refreshing to find a company and associates that truly did care about the customer. I recommended motorpoint to my father who called in and purchased his new car the following day.

Motorpoint made sure everything was ready to go and had the car clean and tidy, The staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions or advice i needed on the car i had bought. Got the car at a great price and was very happy with the overall experience would definitely recommend buying from them again.

+A lot of process done ahead of time on phone or online.
- No chance to test drive because car imported from other site.
- Salesman had limited info on how to drive this hybrid car. We had to learn from scratch and still haven’t mastered all the key features.
- Final process took 2 hours with most admin already done in advance. The sales info claimed it would take 15 mins.
Overall satisfied with end result but final completion process could be more streamlined.

Couldn't praise the staff more highly, especially Sanjay who was an absolute star, Craig was also very helpful. Could not have been more patient and helpful. The company should be proud they have staff like this. Would definitely recommend them.

Although I made arrangements to visit
Motorpoint at the time set by them,
the car was not ready the battery was empty of charge. This delayed the hand over by a few hours. The saviour of the hand over was Motorpoint agreed to pay road tax for a year. If it had not been for this, I would have given less stars. Everything else regarding the sale/hand over was very good very easy and smooth operation.

I bought a car on 20th July and didn't notice initially that it has a problem with one of the alloy wheels. Informed the salesman of it 2 days after purchase with the expectation of it being replaced. Contacted their after sales manager who has never replied to my email. Car was taken to dealership on 31st July for an appointment to try to rectify the issue, the issue is still there. Promised that someone would be in touch to follow up and provide a solution, this has not happened. Subsequently emailed the service manager again as well as head office. Still no contact from them. Quck enough to take people's money off them without providing basic service expected under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. I certainly would not recommend buying from this company.
