Motorpoint - Castleford Omdömen 

I bought a 22 plate Audi A3 from the Castleford branch for over £20,000. 5 months later I’m having to make costly repairs. They claim to do all the necessary checks to ensure the vehicles are sold in good condition but it appears checking the AC is not on their radar. £1,220 down the drain to replace both pipes leading to the condenser unit.

Update: Following the reply from Motorpoint, I contacted the company and was asked to send an email with the diagnostic report. I sent the email, referenced the Consumer Rights Act and heard nothing. I called again and spoke to Sufyaan who was very helpful. I sent the email again and received a call informing me the review has been completed and I’ll receive a full reimbursement for the repairs.

Great experience with Motorpoint at Castleford, all staff we came into contact with were extremrly friendly and polite. Would highly recommend, no pressure sales either but staff are more than hsppy to help if/ehen needed.

It seemed like a really busy day when I picked my car up but all the staff were really attentive and I was kept informed at all times . The actual transaction went really quickly and painless( I had to get back to work !) all the staff were great !

I sold my car through motorpoint and I cannot recommend enough. I used their website to get an instant valuation, no photos were required. I arrived to the site, and the quote generated was paid out minus a small charge for an issue with the car battery. The valuation was higher than I anticipated, and given I work in the motor trade I knew what the vehicle was worth, so to receive more was fantastic. The money was in my account less than an hour leaving the site. I would recommend to everyone looking to sell their car!

Car was sourced without seeing paid delivery to bring to nearest store .
Went on the day to view very swift process after decision was made to purchase it .
2 hrs later we were on the road going home
Plus a full tank of petrol which was a bonus

Went to test drive a car and part-ex my car. Test drove the car, agreed on a part-ex price, asked if the stone chips on the bonnet could be touched up and was assured they would be. Went to do the handover, the guy that sold me the car asked me if l needed help and didn't realise we had a handover? Gave me the keys to check the car once he realised who I was. The car was a mess, the stone chips had been touched in with a block colour white and not pearlescent. I complained that it looked really bad. The car was taken to be rectified. 30 mins later the car bonnet had been rectified, but I could see scratches (white pearlescent under strong sunlight isn't easy to notice blemishes and scratches ) I was told there where none, even though I disputed this. I wasn't happy, but thought, I'll t-cut them out. Did the documents, handed the keys, no explanation of how everything works, bye, see you later sort of culture. Placing my new mats I noticed a front trye seemed very low, asked for it to be checked before I got on the motorway. Tyre didn't have a slow punture, but did need air. Went to drive away and needed the satnav that should work but didn't work, went back to the ask why? Was told after the car was taken back to the workshop and waiting another 20 minutes or so that the SD card was missing, they didn't know where it was, and they needed to seek guidance on what to do.... Either send me out and SD card or send me to my local dealer in York. When I demanded this in writing, saying that I was really quite miffed at how many things hadn't been checked on the vehicle before handover, so wanted what they owed me in writing, minutes later a workshop guy asks for my keys and installed the navigation SD card. After the bank holiday, and not happy with the scratches on my bonnet not coming out, I went to a local car sprayer to ask his opinion? His question was, did Stevie Wonder do this? He told me pearlescent paint cannot be touched up, it looked like a dogs dinner, and I've now had to book my car in for a whole bonnet respray at a cost of £500. Avoid this company like the plague. They just want to buy quick and sell quick!!! Recent Update as of 01.06.2026 Customer services manager has been intouch, I've replied, guess what? No reply from them about who's going to foot the bill for the full bonnet respray! Avoid

We’ve just bought a car from Motorpoint Castleford and honestly, it was the most hassle-free and straightforward car purchase we’ve ever made.

Freedom to look around at our leisure,and when we asked for keys to look at the cars interiors we were left to do so. The test drives were set up quickly. When the final decision was made we were handled by a wonderfully friendly person, who explained everything we needed to know and made the whole experience run smoothly. Good experience overall but I felt a little pushed with them trying to get me to take out there warranty. I did think i got a good part exchange price which I was happy with. Wish they had a 14 day return policy as I am not sure i chose the right car.

Our car wasn’t right when we went to collect, there were scratches still on the bonnet, this caused me issues as I had changed the insurance over.
The. Second time pick up had been arranged, I got a call at 4 pm to say the car wouldn’t be ready again, eventually the third attempt was good, the issues rectified, and a tank of petrol as an apology.just didn’t get off to a good start .

Great salesman at motorpoint castleford, knowledgeable and polite and most helpfull. Had a slight problem with a scuff on wheel but dealt with trouble free very pleased all round

It was a excellent around experience from walking into the show room to purchasing our new car Josh the sales man made us feel welcome and went the extra mile to help us get the car we wanted.

Customer service was great, Joe greeted us when we arrived, said take a picture of the car codes you want to look at and left us to it until we wanted to test drive.Drove our new car home the same day.

Not pushy listened to what we had to say and wanted and met all our requirements. Everything went smoothly from start to finish the salesman we dealt with was excellent and kept in touch after the sale to make sure everything was still ok.
