won't be buying from this company again.
After purchasing a car from Motorpoint, we later discovered it had been fitted with a track-only exhaust, which is not intended for use on UK roads. The exhaust is clearly stamped "Track Only", so it's difficult to understand how this was missed if the vehicle had been properly inspected before sale.
Motorpoint maintained that they had carried out all the necessary checks, but despite numerous emails and phone calls, we got nowhere. The customer service has been extremely disappointing, and I feel they were more interested in making a quick sale than ensuring the vehicle was accurately described and roadworthy.
The matter has now been referred to Trading Standards. In the meantime, I'm left with the expense and inconvenience of having to replace the exhaust so the car can be returned to legal road use.

Since receiving your complaint, I can confirm that Motorpoint have of course taken the time to investigate your concerns and have found no available evidence to imply that the vehicle was sold unfit for purpose at the point of sale back in September 2025.
All Motorpoint vehicles undergo multiple comprehensive checks to ensure that they meet our internal quality standards and are fit for purpose prior to sale. Our records do not indicate that any concerns were raised by our workshop, nor were any faults found on the previous MOT history.
Should you wish to escalate this matter further, please do not hesitate to use the channels provided.
