Motorpoint itself great experience
Motorpoint itself great experience, staff very helpful. However I paid for extra Warrenty for piece of mind. What a con, so many hidden extras. My stop / start wasn’t working after 4 weeks from purchase so called the Warrenty to book it in to be seen to. I was told if the garage (they tell you to go to) can’t find the fault you’ll be charged for the 1 hr diagnostic fee!! Surely if they are recommending this place and they can’t find the fault which I have a screen shot of that’s not my issue but the garage and what I pay the “extra” Warrenty for - disappointed !

Aftersales support is woeful
Aftersales support is woeful! I had an issue with my V5 due to the incompetence of the useless DVLA and had told Motorpoint that I was cancelling my car purchase with them. This was due to the length of time the DVLA was taking to investigate whether I owned a car which I've taxed, MOT'd, serviced and paid for, or not but that's another story. The Salesperson told me that if I paid a bond of £250 they'd release the car to me, which I did so. I would then provide the V5 when it arrived and it would be refunded. With trepadation, I did this on the assurance from Motorpoint that they would extend the period due to the circumstances as it was normally for a 2 week period. The V5 arrived and I took it straight to them, expecting my refund. The reception was quite curt with me and this shocked me. They said it had to go to the general manager for approval. 2 weeks later and I'm still waiting. Is the GM THAT busy? They now keep making excuses as to why it hasn't been given. It seems that this is yet another car sales company that is only interested in you and your money up until the point where you hand over your hard earned money. Afterwards they just aren't interested. If I could delete my previous rating I would. This company is just like all the rest of them.

With regards to the issues with your refund- due to there being a change in process being that Motorpoint extended the 2 week period to return your V5 this results in a change in process which does typically take slightly longer to resolve as your refund must go through a couple of different departments to have this approved and processed. Due to staffing issues, Motorpoint Birtley have experienced delays with regards to this which we would like to sincerely apologise for.

Another 5* review for Motorpoint online and Motorpoint Birtley. Motorpoint make car buying so easy that this is my fourth car from them! I reserved online and was helped through the process by Paul, who was a great help with any queries that I had. Jack in Birtley then completed my handover and, again, was a great help and gave excellent customer service. I would recommend Motorpoint and definitely use them again in the future.

Love my car!

Motorpoint moved the car from Wales to Birtley ready for my appointment. On the day, everything was in order and Lee Frost ensured I was comfortable with my decision. All paperwork was dealt with swiftly by Lee, who was polite and efficient, but also very friendly. I'd definitely consider Motorpoint again in future!

Disappointed that I had to negotiate to include 'luxury' car mats and it took 3 weeks and a couple of phone calls for them to arrive.
