I bought two dresses in August 2025 and one of them was way too small - I reached out and they said I would have to pay for the return shipping which was close to $60 - but that was still worth it since the dress cost $150 - they told me that it can take time but I figured I would get the $90 back. 10 months later (June 29, 2026) the package was returned to me undeliverable and now it is too late to dispute the charge. This is the biggest scam I have ever encountered, Don’t order anything from them unless you are OK with everything being a final sale.

Do not order from Modesees! Returning something is impossible. I bought 2 jumpsuits, one was too small, the other too big. Tried to return and I went to ups, they said it would cost me 200.00 to ship back and have to pay customs fee because they are in China. Scam, don’t buy anything here!!!

Um horror! Tem quase dois meses que fiz meu pedido e paguei dia 30/04//2026. Após 1 mes, Recebo email dizendo que minha escolha paga, não estava mais disponível, com um link para escolher outra coisa. Parece que ficaram o tempo todo esperando que eu comprasse mais. Recebo vários emails de promoções. Meu pedido nada. Não ofereceram em nenhum momento a possibilidade de cancelamento e devolução do valor pago. Péssima empresa! Estou muito chateada.

RUN! Terrible Company! They do not give you your money back and insist on trying to send you more clothes instead of just returning your items . They ship out of China so when you try to return the items they charge you $90 shipping to try to deter you, and then if you say you want to proceed, they will not give you the return address. The dresses look like they're from shein. Not worth $100s of dollars.

I would have given the experience 0 stars if that were an option.

I ordered two pantsuits and when I received them, they were odd sizes and the quality was poor. In trying to do a return, you must interact with a chatbot that takes time and the customer must cover the shipping to China, which is expensive (nearly half the cost of the garment). Modesees is a scam company, and managed to get my $$. Do not buy from them. I should have read the reviews in advance.

Aurora is attentive and friendly to show understanding on my personal reason on the issue and has helped me through the process. Aurora’s help makes me have more inclined to keep shopping on Modesees.

This company was advertised in The New York Times. I loved the dresses,ordered one which was six inches too long and beyond that too big. After endless emails requesting a return address and credit to my card the response has been pick something and we will send it for free. I just want my money back and an address to return it! Beyond that no receipt was included and you have to email for address.None was given. This is no way to do business.
Avoid this co. Like a plague.

I am trying to return an item and there is no way to return it. It directs you to customer service, but I am not able to open the website to write an email to send back.

I agree I should have read the reviews, prior to buying from them. Live and unlearn.

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent order and to formally request a refund.
I would like to bring to your attention that the quality of the clothes received is very poor and does not match the items shown in the pictures. Furthermore, the return process has been a nightmare. Although the items were sent back on 03/21/2026 I still have not received my money back. I have sent multiple emails regarding this issue, but nobody has responded.
In addition to the refund for the items, I have also spent an additional $65.00 on shipping costs to return the products.
Do not tell me to reach your support team because i did it 5 times already and nobody responded.
07/06/2026 still waiting for my money back, as of right now now respond and no money back.

I wouldn’t even give it one star. The product, a dress, was shoddily made and nothing like the photo on the website. And worse, the refund process is a sham — they want you to mail the item back to China ‘choosing a tax-inclusive shipping channel’ and a ‘logistics company’ — really?? When we complained to their chatbot they offered us a 30% discount, but I’m still waiting for them to confirm even that.

I bought two dresses. One I loved and kept. The second one was quite different from the picture and didn't cover your legs in the front. They keep pushing back on me about returns. They offered me 20% refund to just keep it. They said that if I send it back it will be very expensive and that if they can't resell it they will deduct that from my refund. Their website says that returns are possible. That is a lie. Returns are not possible. Buy cautiously.

Do not shop with Modesess. Horrible quality. The company claims they offer full refunds, however, the customer must pay for shipping a a "warehouse inspection fee," or receive a 20% refund and not have to return the product.

The dress arrived well packaged with a thank you and instructions on how to carefully take care of the garment. I absolutely loved the dress. Fits perfectly and is of good quality. I was skeptical about ordering from unknown companies, especially those advertised on Facebook. I will definitely order again. There's another dress i'm eyeing.

The dress I received was an awful cut and otherwise unflattering. To return, I had to ship back to CHINA, and they were fraudulently trying to get me to pay the return tariffs.

I had to dispute the charge with my bank, and the dispute is still pending. The other day I received the package in the mail a SECOND time - they actually sent it back from China again.

I love the dress that I ordered, great fabric and look for the price. The dress was a little tight on me and Modesees quickly made the exchange process easy and efficient.

Correction. Zero stars! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Chinese high-volume low quality company. Inconsistent sizing in the chest and waist across 5 different outfits. Either was too big or too small, so not a matter of a size not fitting at all. Add that it 6 items have been sent in 5 separate shipments over 60 days and counting. Still waiting on a final shipment.

When trying to resolve, Modesees will send you into an endless loop of nonsense emails about trying to make it right.

1. Send a replacement size and keep the original. THAT should speak volumes to not caring about the product consistency.
2. A full credit; useless if sizing is inconsistent.
3. A ridiculously low % refund and keep the original product.
4. Return the product for a refund. THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE JOKE! After multiple emails, I finally received an address to a named individual, not a company. Good luck trying to find a carrier and figure out a shipment back to China without paying massive Customs and Brokerage fees.

Taking a loss and wishing this group of people nothing but the worst. They're doing a disservice to other reliable e-commerce companies.

I received the pantsuit yesterday. The zipper on the side of the pant simply cannot be opened. In trying to get a return label and instructions (only via their chat bot) that took 45 minutes and although the zipper is defective and overall quality of fabric very poor, I must cover the shipping to China, inform them (again via a lengthy chat bot) of a tracking number, and then might get a refund. Indeed Modesees is a scam company. Do not buy from them. I should have read the reviews in advance. As you can see from their response below, it is just a robotic response. An update I will provide is they did receive the complete item returned to China, and still refuse to refund. Let all buyers be informed of this scam.

I reach to them to exchange my dress for a bigger size and they respond immediately. I loved their dresses. Great quality, but they run a little small. It better to size up.

You are massively interfering with the return process. Back off immediately. Hands off!
