I have been looking for the new Ferrari…
I have been looking for the new Ferrari F80 model car so when i saw it on their site, as well as the 812 competizione, thinking they are well priced i ordered them.Models came next day well packaged and in mint condition, was very inpressed with the speed from ordering to delivery. Definately be buying again and very much recommend using Model Universe

I was not happy that in order to…
I was not happy that in order to receive my item I had to pay a tarriff at the last minute to get it. The price I was quoted when ordered should have been honored. Getting an email from the shipping company, not you, that I owed a tarriff is unacceptable.

I’m sorry the import charge came as an unwelcome surprise.
Your order was placed as a pre-order in 2025. At that time, our checkout and delivery pages clearly stated that import tax and duty may apply, which was our policy then and is standard practice for international shipments sent under Delivered Duty Unpaid terms. These are the clearly communicated terms under which your order was placed, clearly communicated through the buying process on the website, delivery terms pages and FAQ's at the time of the order placement.
Since then, as a response to the US government removing the $800 "tax de minimis", we have updated our policy in 2026 to Delivered Duty Paid. Under this newer arrangement, any applicable duties and taxes are calculated during checkout, added to the order total, and paid by us on the customer’s behalf to the relevant customs authority.
Unfortunately, we cannot apply that 2026 policy retrospectively to orders placed before the change. When your order was placed, it was sold under the previous terms, where any import duties, taxes, or tariffs were the responsibility of the recipient if charged by customs.
The email you received from the shipping company is also part of the normal customs clearance process. They act as the clearing agent on behalf of the customs authority, which is why the request came from them rather than directly from us. We do not control, set, or have any say over tariffs or customs charges, particularly as we are not a US based business.
I appreciate this was frustrating, but the price quoted for the product was honoured and we have fulfilled in accordance with the order terms.
