Worth the Wait: Mochipans Whimsical Fashion!

Rae and her Team create wonderfully whimsical Clothes that are both stylish and let you stand out.

Every product I've received from her shop are exceptionally pretty and I'll definitely be a returning customer for whenever she puts up Pre-Orders for new clothes that suit my style!

For those unaware, seeing as a lot of Reviews on here are overly negative, her products might take quite a while to be produced. Rae and her Team spend a lot of time perfecting the quality of their products together with the companies that create her unique fashion. They always try to get the products to be just like what their Concept Drawings look like.

This long and intricate workflow means that most of her products are PRE-ORDERS. Meaning that sometimes it can take months if not even half a year to produce. She constantly sends update E-Mails to her Customers and occasionally posts what some samples look like on her Social Media (like Instagram)! She usually elaborates in them too, how certain parts might still need to be changed before Bulk Productions can start.

Take it from me and trust in her process, you won't regret it if you love adorable fashion like I do.

With her charming Team and quality Team she's gained one Loyal Customer through me!

Highly communicative

Mochipan has been an amazing experience for me!

Preorders take time—manufacturing takes time—things happen! But Mochipan is incredibly transparent about the process. They provide biweekly newsletters and frequent updates on their instagram stories, always keeping customers informed. This is a small business, and preorders are what allow them to create these gorgeous, unique designs in the first place. The wait is absolutely worth it.

I’ve already received two of their products and just ordered a moth crop hoodie! I love the material honestly. If you’re expecting Amazon-level speed, remember that Mochipan makes it clear on their website that preorders take time. You’re paying for their expertise, creative vision, and the effort it takes to bring these designs to life—clothing like this isn’t easy to make, and you won’t find it anywhere else for a reason!

Highly recommend supporting them!

Awesome quality and beautiful designs

The clothing is of great quality and the staff are very responsive and helpful. The designs and styles are unlike anything I've seen and honestly absolutely fell in love with it all!

I highly recommend the products as you would not only love how they feel and fit you but also complement your personality.

Everything is worth the wait as these are one of kind clothing and the designer seriously takes her time and effort to ensure the product meets her expectations of perfection!

High quality items worth their price and wait

I pre-ordered one of their Pre-Sample Pre-Orders about a year-ish ago. It arrived earlier this week (Jan. 2025). The entire time, they kept people updated via a bi-weekly newsletter for ALL PS-PO items, making us aware of any delays/issues and general progress, as well as estimated dates for finalizing and shipping. It worked much like backing a Kickstarter and seeing progress updates as the product came to life from the drawn concept.

The wait? Well worth it.

The details were embroidered wonderfully, the fabric was high-quality, and the fit was perfect.

When I had questions about different products I'd wanted to order in the meantime but was having issues with the website, the customer service was quick and succinct.

Highly recommend Mochipan for high-quality fun designs. The prices and waits are worth it, and the people running it are very transparent about how they do so.

Wonderful Brand!!

The team is extremely sweet and helpful. They moved all of my pre-order addresses for me quickly and efficiently when I moved across the country, have answered any form of communication over many many orders smoothly, and always keep updated on the process of things on their website as well as personally if emailed.

I wasn't going to bother with a review...

I wasn't going to bother with a review, but since their harassing "customer service" just HAD to have the last word, placed an order January 12th.

Get a confirmation email saying "7-10 business days.

That would be January 24th.

Nothing came.

Checked tracking.

Never even shipped.

Tried emailing.

Crickets for a full week before going through my credit card company.

THEN I get an email whining about the chargeback when I should have just emailed (which I did and proved repeatedly).

They claim to have not gotten the emails, which is weird, because suddenly they were working just fine AFTER the chargeback.

Then they the audacity to blame me saying "we expect customers to be in the loop."

No. It's YOUR job to communicate effectively with your customers and ten business days should mean ten business days.

Then I said "Keep harassing me about it. I do have an attorney and I would certainly be happy to leave review of how my experience has been as a warning to other customers thinking of making the same mistake I did in choosing to do business with you."

What did they do after I asked them to stop harassing me? Just had to have the last word, didn't you? Well, I told you in plain English what would happen, didn't I?

This is a copy/paste of what their customer service had to say: As it appears there is no intention of a peaceful or reasonable resolution, all communications will cease moving forward. It simply does not seem possible at this stage for there to be an ounce of good faith in this correspondence.

Congratulations, Max! I'm a man of my word.

Mochipan is amazing! And it is a legitimate small business!

I discovered the brand through instagram. Sadly I think a lot of people who have bought from mochipan are not familiar with how her shop runs. She uses an interest based system for voting on new pieces and preorder system to not produce more units than can be sold.

The reality is, clothing production is very complicated and there’s real people behind making the clothes. Sometimes there are delays due to the production house or due to shipping carriers

I believe a lot of the lower reviews are unfair as they don’t account for this.

I just recieved my preorder item in person (Quilted shrug). It came out even better than I expected. It is so pillowy soft and the design? Spectacular. I cannot find other places that create such beautiful pieces of great quality.

For anyone who’s on the fence, definitely check out her Shop on Shopify app. Those are verified, buyers and she has 4.8 stars with 407 reviews.

Will definitely re-purchase. Wanted to write this as I feel like this trust pilot rating is not accurate to the amazing business that is Mochipan!

Fruit Cardigan No Update

Ordered some of the Fruit Cardigan line up in November. No updates as of the end of December. Have received emails for most of their other products, but nothing regarding these and these are not listed as pre-order. I'm moving soon and I don't know if I'm going to get these in time :(

small business at it's finest, so be patient!

mochipan is a fantastic small business! They are creating unique and fun designs that I have never seen anywhere else, and due to that they have a unique structure of interest check, pre-order, and production to make sure these designs come to life. Because of that, I want to stress that everyone buying pay very close attention to this process! Not paying attention seems to cause the confusion that previous, critical reviews have mentioned regarding pre-orders being "pushed back" (when they're actually just in production). Unlike some sellers, mochipan also offers an incredibly detailed and consistent blog that keeps track of production updates. I get emails about these blog updates directly to my email, I received a shipping notification at exactly the estimated time I was given, and I also get regular updates about non-pre-order interest check items I've shown interest in. I love to see this sort of small business flourishing and I hope that it can continue to grow!

Bee Swimsuit

As of 13/11/2024, the bee swimsuit has been pushed back again to expected shipping around December 15th instead of November 30th. I had seen another complaint about this on here and I have to agree with what they are saying - it is so frustrating watching other products launch and being left in the dust for months upon months with no update. I do appreciate that they are offering limited time pins, but I don't think that's enough anymore. This was meant to be shipped months ago, and with no clear timeline it's annoying that the only compensation is two enamel pins that I don't even know where I'd put. I would rather it be estimated that the swimsuit was coming in march, instead of stringing us along and getting my hopes up every month. If I knew it would have taken this long, I wouldn't have ordered in the first place as it's already extremely expensive and it's hard to justify it at this point. Before I get any complaints about taking my opinions publicly, I had previously reached out to the team and heard back from them that from November 10th to November 25th that I would be able to choose the size of my swimsuit before it being shipped on the 30th. But it's changed once again. It's embarrassing when I excitedly told my friends and family about this swimsuit back in June/July, and they're going to be asking me into DECEMBER where it is, after I ordered it what would have been 5-6months ago and telling them it ships in august. I'm giving two stars because while this has been a nightmare, the designs are beautiful and if you were ordering anything other then the bee line you would likely have a better experience. In summery :
- Consistently changing deadlines, no clear idea of when a product will actually be released and instead update every two weeksish about how "Not this month!! Sorry!!" instead of saying "6 month wait time"
- No sample products until nearly 6 months of waiting, despite saying it was completed in October and it's now November
- If the sample products release and they are not high enough quality to warrant the time, effort and money I spent waiting I will be contacting the team formally for a refund.
Thank you for taking the time to read and Mochipan I hope you improve your communication skills with your audience as you are losing a lot of support.

The response they gave was valid, and of course there will be delay due to fires breaking out. It still does not justify the months of delays before this, but obviously it currently being delayed makes sense. It is nice that they are communicating this, and I applied for a refund earlier this week due to not being able to wait anymore. I think the company is trying their best, but as it was pushed back multiple times BEFORE the fire I still think communication should be improved. I hope nothing but the best for the team and that everyone involved with the incident is healthy and okay. If there are any future purchases I will update but for now I think it's resolved.

We are still a very small team and are doing our best to navigate our growth while keeping things moving.
Our partnered factory burned to the ground, so we had some unforeseen delays with the swimsuit as all the bulk and sample productions had unfortunately been destroyed in the fire.
While we did our best to account for potential small delays, we never expected such a tragic thing to happen. We have been open and honest from the beginning with all the information we had.
I completely understand the frustration for waiting. At this point, I urge you to ask for a refund to prevent further upset. Refunds have always been available for this project.
We want to ensure the product is up to our standards and this one has been a very difficult one to make.
Lastly, different teams and factories handle different projects, so this one has not been put on the back burner in favor of anything else.

I ordered the bee swimsuit in JULY

I ordered the bee swimsuit in JULY. it said expected shipping August 14th. Then it was september 14th, then september 25th, then october, then october 25th, then november and now November 30th. Everytime we are meant to get samples? theyre delayed or late. We got one sample ages ago that wasnt even the completed set. And each month, you see the team releasing more and more clothes and it makes me so distrustful of them because i dont know if it will ever be shipped now. I spent so much money hoping to have a cute swimsuit and i just have nothing, its bad enough how expensive they are - but bad communication and no clear timeline is just the cherry on top. Their designs are so cute but lack of clear communication (yes I've read the blog, they keep pushing the dates back), them not sticking to a time line and the price makes it an overall bad expierence. If it ever does deliver and it's good I will update, but for now I am disappointed.

Mochipan is my PUH-ASHION

Rae might be able to tell who I am at this point since I OBSESS over their clothes and rate their items lol! I can promise you as someone who has bought 41 ITEMS from them (and counting) you will NOT be disappointed. Granted, I have only started buying from her in mid-2024 so I might be getting the 'new and improved' store since 2021. They are very professional and clearly have a backing of a strong team. She is on top of it with putting out concepts, updates and making sure you see her items on different body types. I feel like the clothes are a true investment. They seem to be built to last as long as you follow the proper cleaning instructions and be true to your size!

If you are unsure about their business, just look at their reviews on the website. They are very transparent, and I personally appreciate that. I rather put my money towards a business that announces their shortcomings or unable to put out a pre-order in time versus going radio silent. That is how you build a proper customer relationship. No business is perfect, but she clearly has a passion for what she does. She is a small-business owner but runs herself better than some big-named brands and THAT is a true accomplishment.

If you expect me to say something negative to kind of round out all of the positivity...well good luck, cause so far, I have had nothing but a positive experience. Overall, give her clothes a chance, it may seem expensive, but you are paying for quality. She ain't Alibaba/Temu/Shein. Btw, READ THE SIZING CHARTS! I have seen folks who complain about the items fitting and I get it can be disappointing but that is where you have to take accountability and be honest with your body type and not assume. I am an XL torso but have XXL arms, so I have to compensate for the arms depending on the outfit. You will have a much better buying experience if you do!

My first order was a pre-order for the strawberry romper, and I was absolutely blown away when it arrived! The quality is top notch, and it looks better than I ever could have expected. Pre-orders took a while, but that was expected, especially from a small creator. I received updates when the sizing of samples changed slightly, and needed to ask a clarifying question, but it was answered very quickly! I'm so pleased with my romper, and I'm placing more pre-orders now!

My honest thoughts

Would’ve given five stars, but unfortunately, my order took longer than expected. I ordered an April didn’t get it until now the end of September almost October. With that being said, now that I do have my items, the dress, the purse, the earrings all strawberry themed looked beautiful and I got to feel very pretty today on my date. Unfortunately, the skirt that I ordered an extra large was more like a medium compared to my body type, so I was very disappointed with that. overall, I’m very happy with the communication that I had with Rea I understand that at some point she wasn’t getting my emails so I did take a little longer for some replies, but she was always sincere and always helpful and I appreciate it all of that more than anything. Hopefully when I move and I get a new place I can order again and get a little bit better experience above all. I enjoyed the shop going through it everything was beautiful and I’m really happy that I did get my items I paid for.
