Awful company - Immoral
Awful company to deal with. I had my Standard Life staff pension with them. They do everything possible to either block or delay money being removed. When they do pay it out the amount is wrong, with yet more admin to try and resolve that issue (im still trying to resolve this with them - they dont care
Unfortunately a lot of people will, like me, be stuck with them due to the outsourcing of the admin of staff pensions.
Contrat mutuelle non respecté
Alors que jamais eu de problème, de cette année c’est le 3 eme, c’est trop. Je n’arrive pas à obtenir le remboursement des dépassements d’honoraires du chirurgien…pourtant bien inscrits dans mon contrat. Et j’ai travaillé en compta dans le service d’une clinique…je sais de quoi je parle…ma conseillère ne veut pas démordre de son erreur, malgres ses collègues que j’ai eu au tel et qui m’ont donné raison ; s’il faut passé par un service juridique, je le ferais…mais ils rembourseront les frais….je pense qu’il doit y avoir beaucoup de dossiers non traités correctement.

Terrible Customer Service
I called Mercer August 5th 2024 to arrange my pension to start December 1st 2024. I did not receive my paper work. I called them again in September and told customer service I had not received my paperwork. I was told the paperwork was returned because of wrong address, which I did not believe. I was told they would send out a new package. Nine days later I finally received the new package and the start date was still stating October 1, 2024 instead of the December 1, 2024 and also the TAX FORMS were missing! I called customer service again to have them get their act together and send me the new package again with the correct Pension start date and the TAX FORMS! I pretty much laid into them stating I am giving them a 1 rating and that they are horrible to work with. I will see if they get it right the 3rd time! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND NOT TRAINED PROPERLY.
Negligent and irresponsible with other people's money
It feels like Mercer is acting incompetently to avoid paying money that is due. My 90 year old mother is receiving a widow's pension after my father died last year and if I wasn't checking their calculations she wouldn't be receiving what she is due. It is so hard to raise issues with customer service - I have an outstanding issue where mum is due over a £1K refund and they are completely ignoring it. When I talk to them they just ask for more information and when you provide it they don't then get back to you... they require constant chasing and even then they don't resolve the issue. This money has now been outstanding for 9 months. I've been told the money should be paid but still nothing received so I keep having to follow up but never get to talk to someone who can actually sort the problem. Do they really expect a 90 year old to be on top of this stuff or do they just hope they'll get away with it and not have to pay up? Feels negligent. Terrible service.

Lamentable résilie un contrat sans DSN de sortie service client à la ramasse gestionnaire de compte INCOMPÉTENTS je me retrouve sans couverture sociale par LEUR faute alors que je cotise cela fait trois semaines que je tourne en rond et AUCUNE solution n’est trouvé alors que c’est très simple

Unbelievable!
On 29/4/24 I uploaded all of the signed documentation to start receiving my pension w/e/f 1/4/24. Mercer told me that they would contact me if there were any issues with the documentation.
It's now 10/10/24 and I still have received not received any payments. I posted a message via their website in July informing them that I was suffering hardship (I have no other forms of income) and still nothing. I cannot borrow money as I have no income. What am I supposed to do?

Des voleurs, comme indiqué dans chaque commentaire. Ils ne remboursent pas et continuent de nous dire de patienter, que le remboursement va arriver. 3 mois plus tard rien. Et ensuite on nous sort un "je peux rien faire à mon niveau je fais remonter". Honteux! Ne pas adhérer à cette mutuelle!

Been constantly chasing for my final…
Been constantly chasing for my final figures as due to retire Oct 2024.
Kept getting fobbed off so put in complaint, was told this would be dealt with within 10 days.
On the 10th day received phone call saying figures ready and would be posted out that day.
Nine days later, nothing. Phoned to be told still working on my case.
Blatant lies from staff who have no idea what to say other than crap.

Je ne m'étonne même pas de la note de Mercer Santé. Après plusieurs réclamations ils ne veulent toujours pas me rembourser mes soins alors que mes garanties m'indiquent clairement que j'ai droit à une prise en charge. Je cotise tous les mois pour ces droits, j'appelle cela de la malhonnêteté et du vol.

If I could give a zero star rating I would.
Its been nearly 12 months since getting details of my pension entitlement.
They undervalued my pension by 40%, have ignored requests for information and failed to respond to correspondance. Having taken 9 months to admit their mistakes I thought it was all sorted.
Now I find they still can't do simple maths and have got the payments and back payments wrong.
They make trying to communicate with them as difficult as possible. Constant use of "no reply" emails, a website that gives you no feedback on what you have submitted when contacting them and you have to chase to get a response.
Terrible just terrible I am transferring out ASAP

I have 6 small work pentions I have been ringing all of them all this week to get details and idea of roughly how much in them ect from each company as I am looking to merge them all every single company I contacted they couldn't so enough to help me they had all the info and offered to post me out forecasts and stuff
Mercer was the 6th one absoutley awful staff member doesn't know the rules or anything about the policy spoke to me like I was stupid like I was stopping her from picking her nose or somthing she deffo did not know the product
Mercer won't give me a forecast or tell me how much is in there I need a transfer quote and I only get one free one (I'll only need one coz I'm deffo moving my money out abosultley incompetent!)
I can't look online as I am not currently paying into it (old work based pention) so aprsntly i caht do that though i can with all my other old work pentions when I think of how the other companies handled my calls and I walked away with all the info I needed ahead of my pentionwise appointment I just can not belive how badly Mercer compared
I deffo don't trust them to look after my money and it is MY money so why I can't get a rough estimate like all the other companies gave me I just do not know
I do not recomend at all

These guys were really helpful, why the negative reviews? They went out of their way to help me with an issue, I thought it was amazing! I thought they'd leave me on the trash heap, lol, but a whole bunch of them moved heaven and earth to help me out with a thing, based on my own experience, I would totally, highly recommend them.

Une catastrophe, contrat résilié depuis juillet 2024. Ils prélèvent à tort et ne rembourse pas. Les conseillers répondent toujours la même chose, on va vous rembourser dans quelques jours!

Appalling service! 9 month wait and counting!
Mercer contacted me in January, I provided all the relevant documentation, and NINE months later I am still waiting to receive my late husbands pension fund. Have tried to contact them numerous times via email, telephone and internet portal only to be told they are "working on it."
Will be lodging a complaint with the financial ombudsman and also approaching the media to highlight this companies atrocious service.
I sympathise with the myriad customers that are in the same position as myself.
Shame on you Mercer!

No.. mercer is not a reputable company... can't/won't/refuse to respond...entirely due to hiring, promoting, encouraging and creating incompetence in their organisation. EMPLOYERS are complicit by abdicating their responsibility for employee pensions to an entity who's sole purpose seems to be to scam pensioners
APPALLING 'customer service'
If I could give a zero/minus rating for this organisation I would!!!
In the first instance they took over 6 months to pay out my occupational pension, and that was after many communications and some help from the then Pensions Ombudsman.
More recently, in trying trying ascertain whether I qualify for recompense under the GMP equalisation ruling, this is proving an impossible quest. No transparency, poor communication, if any and no one accountable for progressing solutions.
Customers like me are being ignored, side lined in the hope that we might just 'disappear'.
Not sure what the organisational issues are but from the outside, this looks like outright incompetence and a lack of duty of care to the organisations who pay this company to administer its pension provisions. APPALLING!
UPDATE:
The first issue noted here was finally resolved after some considerable correspondence with Mercer and with the help of the Pension Ombudsman.
The second issue is currently with Mercer's team to investigate the GMP issue and report back to me on the outcome of its findings.

Des erreurs, lente et aucun service client
Je n'ai pas une bonne expérience avec cette mutuelle :
- des erreurs de remboursement (pas à votre avantage). Exemples :
o une hospitalisation dans le privé. Mercer fait une prise en charge de 1275€ directement à la clinique. Puis 2 mois plus tard, m'envoie un avis d'annulation de prise en charge ! (en précisant que finalement mon contrat ne couvre pas - sans plus d'explications ni de clarté). J'ai bien sûr demandé à être recontacté par messagerie et par téléphone fin Juillet => toujours aucune nouvelle.
o un oublie de remboursement de monture optique (97€). Remboursé suite réclamation.
- lente : demande de remboursement 1159 € 14 avril 2024 => remboursé 4 juillet 2024 soit presque 3 mois (alors que Mercer avait déjà était sollicité pour une estimation de remboursement sur devis).
- service client mauvais: en écrivant sur le site internet ou application via la messagerie, les délais de réponses sont très longs. Par téléphone : vous perdez juste votre temps : les personnes ne savent pas expliquer vos garanties et vous promettent des délais de réponse ou rappel jamais tenus.
De temps en temps vous recevez un formulaire de réclamation : on vous promet de vous rappeler rapidement à la fin => jamais rappelé.
Bref si vous avez le choix, fuyez.
