WARNING MERCEDES BENZ STRATFORD WILL BREAK YOUR Car
I am beyond frustrated with my experience at Mercedes-Benz Stratford. On 28/07/2025, I brought my E-Class in for a routine service B and after they handled my panoramic sunroof as a goodwill gesture because I had requested a slight lubrication on the panroof to keep it maintained as I thought this is apart of Service B, it was left damaged. Prior to the service, the roof was functioning perfectly opening and closing without issue. But after they lubricated the roof mechanism, it became misaligned, and the tracks were visibly bent, making it impossible to close properly. They had damaged to motor in the process.
To make matters worse, Service Advisor Daniel tried to claim that I mentioned a noise coming from the roof, in an attempt to suggest that the damage was pre-existing. This is a blatant lie there were no issues with the roof before I brought it in. Had there been any noise, I would have requested a diagnostic check, but there was nothing wrong at all.
What’s even more concerning is that Mercedes-Benz Stratford initially accepted liability for the damage via email, which I have attached below censoring my personal information, promising to pay for the damages they had caused. However, now they are trying to use the false pre existing fault excuse to shift the blame onto me and bill me £3,546.14 for repairs. They are refusing to stand by their word and are trying to cover up their mistake by falsely claiming that the damage was already there.
Additionally, Service Manager Johnny Piccou assured me that they would make things right, which I have on video, and the Head of Business (Vic or Waqqas) is fully aware of the situation. Yet, despite their prior acknowledgment of the issue, they are now backing out and leaving me to foot the repair costs. They’ve even refused to provide video footage of my car entering the dealership in perfect condition, which would prove their negligence.
To top it all off, they’re refusing to cover the repairs and are trying to make me pay for the damage they caused. I would strongly advise against taking your car here unless you want your vehicle to be damaged, mistreated, and left with a huge repair bill. I will be escalating this to the highest level and will not stop until this is resolved.
Below is an attachment of the email where they had confirmed it’s their liability and they will cover the repairs. An estimation of the repair. Pictures of the damages. A picture of both employees Johnny looking guilty and knowing they had messed up a clients car. And a picture of Daniel also looking guilty of the fact they had messed up.

Terrible service, dishonesty, and zero accountability. Stay far away from this dealership.
Extremely Disappointed with Recent Service & MOT
l expected a much higher standard from Mercedes-Benz, Edinburgh Newbridge. The recent service and MOT were frustrating from start to finish, with poor communication throughout. I was left in the dark about timelines, costs, and updates, with attempts to get clarity from the service manager Johnathan worse.
For a premium brand, this experience was far from premium. Very disappointing, wont be back!

Mercedes Benz are a very unreliable car and not what I had expected of such a brand as Mercedes .If you look at which survey Mercedes are rated 17 out of 36 but you paying a premium price for the car and repairs

I submitted a parts inquiry over two weeks before receiving any response. When I finally followed up myself, I was met with an apology about a “system switch.” That might explain the delay, but it doesn't excuse it — especially from a brand like Mercedes-Benz, where you'd expect premium service to match the premium badge.
No proactive communication. No resolution. Just silence until I chased it up.
Disappointed, but not surprised.
Would not recommend based on this experience.

I had an absolutely awful experience with the Mercedes Benz dealership in West Bromley. It was related to a fix to my car. It took over a month to get my car fixed. The communication is absolutely dreadful and the customer service very poor.

Visto o sentito qualcuno?No
Saluti.

I would give zero stars if this was an…
I would give zero stars if this was an option. Bought a Mercedes EQA from this company 2 years ago, within 1 week the high voltage battery failed so the car wouldn't move, spoke to the dealership to report this....and this is when the problems started, someone called Emma from their service department was so rude, I was actually shocked at her attitude. She was unhelpful, rude, abrupt, didnt want to know about the fault, wouldn't arrange a courtesy car etc etc. Eventually I got it sorted out, yet she carried on being rude throughout. No apology from the dealership for the hassle and inconvenience caused, let alone the attitude from their service dept.
Yesterday, the car developed yet another fault, I contacted Mercedes Stockton, again extremely unhelpful. Told me the car would be seen on Thursday (if i took it to them) but wouldn't provide a loan car until the following Monday. Spoke to Mercedes UK to complain about this, they said a load car would be available the day I took the car in. Spoke to the dealership this morning and got the ever so delightful Emma, she was extremely unhelpful and rude again. I asked to confirm if a loan car would be there when I dropped the car off, her reply "if you've been told there will be then there will be", I asked for confirmation of this, she repeated her previous reply, this went on for a few minutes until I explained this isnt getting us anywhere, she refused to check if a loan car would be waiting, I then asked her to just email me to confirm a loan car would be available, im still waiting. Mercedes Stockton are horrendous at customer service. I expected them to, firstly, apologise for the inconvenience of the car breaking down AGAIN, then arrange for the car to be collected and to drop a car off. They haven't done anything, ive had to complain to Mercedes UK yet again. So far, I have spent 2 days trying to get a 2 year old car repaired. They are beyond useless.
Avoid Mercedes Stockton at all costs.
Had a terrible experience
Had a terrible experience. Bought a starter battery with a 2-year warranty; months later, the car wouldn’t start. They charged £235 for diagnostics, found "nothing wrong," and never sent the promised report. Consultant Aneesa Moghal kept the original battery invoice and never returned it—now I have no proof of purchase. Follow-up calls were ignored. They also pushed unnecessary work like replacing 4mm tyres and 6mm brake pads. Dishonest, unprofessional, and uninterested if your car is over 5 years old. Avoid Aneesa and always demand your paperwork on the spot.
Approved Used Mercedes-Benz
I purchased an Approved Used 2021 Mercedes-Benz A-Class, which came with a 12-month warranty that has turned out to be basically useless.
Despite the car having less than 40,000 miles total and only 6,500 miles driven in the last 12 months, it developed a cam cover leak. Mercedes-Benz refused to cover the repair under warranty and offered only a small goodwill contribution, leaving me with a bill of over £1,000.
The communication was extremely slow, there was no proper apology for the delays, and the entire experience has been shocking — completely unacceptable for a so-called “premium” brand.
I strongly advise anyone considering an Approved Used Mercedes-Benz to think twice. The warranty is essentially worthless, and the aftersales support has been deeply disappointing.
Great customer service
Great customer service at Derby Mercedes, St Christopher Way, especially from Carolina Neves and Lewis Banker, thanks alot!.

Re:Stockport Mercedes Vans
Re:Stockport Mercedes Vans
When it comes to customer service Mercedes cannot solely rely on the quality of their vehicles, because the human factor counts as well.
On 10th June my Sprinter and my essential ‘mobile Art Van’ for transporting my paintings, failed its annual MOT. It usually flies through each of its previous nine.
A headlamp bulb needed changing and a windscreen wiper wash-pipe was partially blocked with sludge.
I got these two items fixed within 48hours and returned today the 12th June and obtained the usual MOT Pass certificate.
I’m penning this review for two reasons.
Firstly to show the level of detail that the motor engineers go to. During the MOT it is not their job to replace bulbs or clear smudge, but report the true state of the vehicle so it was a natural fail initially.
The second reason I’m taking the trouble to write this review is to commend and compliment the very pleasant staff overall, and the MOT department customer service manager (Salli) for fabulous customer service as she demonstrated sincere care on both delivering the initial fail notice, and then rejoicing with me the second visit ‘Pass’.
I spoke with the manager to convey my gratitude in person as it is obvious that Stockport Mercedes is really delivering a culture of a high level of customer service.
And the complimentary Campuchino was delicious as well.
Thank you from @jerrygordonart

Extremely Disappointed with Poor Service and Incompetence – Mercedes-Benz West London
I dropped off two vehicles at Mercedes-Benz West London on Monday morning at 9:15 AM — a Mercedes S500 and a Mercedes V300 Exclusive 2025. I had booked the appointments one week in advance, clearly explaining the required work for both vehicles.
Upon drop-off, I was informed the V-Class may take two days (as expected), and the S-Class would be ready the same day after an alignment and a sensor replacement. I waited the entire day with no update, and finally received a call around 5:00 PM saying the S-Class wouldn’t be ready until the following day. I accepted the delay.
Today, 3rd June, I was contacted around midday to say the V-Class was ready. While en route, I also received a call saying the S-Class was ready as well. However, upon arrival:
I was handed the V-Class key, only to discover that none of the warranty issues I had listed were carried out. After speaking with the manager, they simply apologised for the oversight and took the vehicle back in.
I then took the S-Class, but within two minutes of driving I noticed the alignment was still incorrect. I returned immediately, and the manager accompanied me for a test drive, where he acknowledged the fault.
I was left waiting from midday until 5:30 PM, only to be told that both vehicles must remain at the workshop for yet another day.
To add to the disappointment, a staff member casually offered me £10 for an Uber ride home, despite the fact that I had left over £200,000 worth of vehicles with them and wasted an entire business day. The treatment was dismissive, arrogant, and completely unprofessional.
When I raised the issue of wasted time, failed repairs, and miscommunication — and suggested that a gesture of goodwill would be appropriate given the inconvenience and failure to deliver even the scheduled tasks — I was flatly refused. This level of service is absolutely unacceptable from a brand like Mercedes-Benz.
The manager even admitted that "customers say this every day", which clearly points to a systemic issue. It is no wonder why many loyal customers now prefer smaller, independent garages: at least there, the job gets done, and the client is treated with respect.
The service I received clearly violates basic consumer rights, such as:
Work not being completed as promised
Repeated miscommunication
No accountability or resolution for the delays caused
I encourage other customers who experience similar issues to formally complain to the Motor Ombudsman or Citizens Advice to hold this branch accountable. Only when these repeated failures start costing them will they take service standards seriously.
As for me, I’m now forced to wait yet another day to see if the work will actually be done. This experience has seriously damaged my confidence in the Mercedes brand.
I am writing to express my profound…
I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the service I received from Mercedes Stratford. The experience has been one of the most disappointing and frustrating I have ever encountered with an automotive service provider.
Initially, I brought my car to Mercedes Stratford for a minor leak issue. To my astonishment, I was charged over £3000 for what should have been a straightforward repair. After paying this exorbitant amount, I was shocked to find that the car had additional problems that were not addressed during the service. In fact, the car was shaking significantly, indicating that the issue had not been resolved properly.
When I contacted Mercedes Stratford to address these concerns, I was met with a series of demands for further payments. They insisted that I pay an additional £240 to have them "take a look" at the unresolved issues. Despite paying the immediate bill and returning the car to them, the problems persisted. This cycle of paying for unresolved issues continued, leaving me feeling exploited and frustrated.
The lack of accountability and the repeated demands for additional payments without resolving the initial problem have left me feeling extremely dissatisfied. I believe that Mercedes Stratford has been extremely negligent in their service and has failed to meet even the most basic standards of customer care.
I urge anyone considering using this service to be extremely cautious. The experience I had was one of the most disappointing and frustrating I have ever encountered.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service, never returned phone calls, nobody knows what the other is doing, especially the service managers. A premium brand giving budget quality service, I wish I could give zero stars.
Warning
I’ve always been a loyal Mercedes customer, but my recent experience at the Bolton branch was extremely disappointing. Communication was poor, the repair process was disorganised, and I was left feeling like an inconvenience rather than a valued customer.
What should have been a simple repair turned into a drawn-out, stressful ordeal that disrupted personal plans and caused unnecessary costs.
Even after raising a formal complaint to headquaters, there was no meaningful resolution or accountability. I’m still left with unanswered questions, additional costs, and a lot of frustration.
I would strongly caution others before using this service—my experience has seriously damaged my trust in the Mercedes brand and its aftercare support.
Luxury brand, low quality
I have got my first Mercedes last year in December and car came with multiple defects. Took car to several Mercedes services, the dealership just doesn't care. I am shocked, how a luxury brand could be so low quality. Terrible, their service garages are useless, you have to remind them each time what to do. Will never ever buy Mercedes again.
Efficient, Professional, and Customer-Focused
After weeks of trying to get a response from another dealership with no luck, I decided to call Mercedes-Benz Stratford—and I’m so glad I did. From the moment I made the call, the difference in service was night and day. I was able to speak with someone right away, and they were incredibly helpful.
I needed to get the window control module replaced but wasn’t keen on leaving my car for days. Within minutes, they checked with the workshop to confirm the part was in stock, reserved it for me on the spot, and scheduled an appointment just two days later.
When I arrived, I was welcomed and looked after immediately. The work was completed in just a couple of hours while I waited comfortably in their lounge, which had excellent facilities including workstations and a great selection of teas and coffees.
Overall, it was a smooth, professional, and genuinely pleasant experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mercedes-Benz Stratford.
I purchased a used vehicle from…
I purchased a used vehicle from Mercedes, trusting the brand’s reputation for quality and transparency. However, I was shocked to later discover—through an independent inspection—that the entire front of the car had been repainted. This was never disclosed at the time of sale.
When I raised this with Mercedes, their response was deeply disappointing. They dismissed my concerns, repeatedly reminding me that I had purchased a second-hand car—as if that justified a lack of transparency. They claimed it was likely the previous owner who had the work done, and took no accountability whatsoever.
This experience has seriously damaged my trust in the brand. If a premium dealership cannot be honest about the condition of the vehicles they resell, what exactly are you paying extra for?
Let this be a warning: if you’re considering buying a used car from Mercedes, do not rely solely on their word or reputation. Bring a paint thickness gauge, inspect every inch, and consider a third-party inspection before signing anything. What you don’t see—or aren’t told—could cost you dearly.
