I just completed a seller run auction and was very pleased with the results! The MaxSold support team was very helpful in answering all my questions & guiding me through the process. It took me a lot of time to take the photos and input the descriptions so if you do not have time to do this yourself I do recommend having their team do this for you. If you need to clear out a home quickly this is definitely a great way to go!!! 200+ items were cleared out in a day with only a few items remaining. I did find that this auction is great if you have a lot of small items to sell. For the larger furniture and expensive items you may want to price & sell those individually on another platform if you are concerned about getting the best price for them. Otherwise, this was a great experience and I would use MaxSold again!!! I am recommending them to many of my organizing clients.

I had no idea what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised by all the help and guidance I received! The process was not stressful, and I was allowed to choose my own time frame. When I had any questions I could either call or use the online chat for immediate help. I’m very pleased with how my auction is running. My auction closes tonight, and I’m super thrilled with the bidding!

I like using Maxsold, but there has been technical issues in both experiences. If I had not noticed the issue and called in, there would have been devastating consequences to my auctions. I hope these types of issues become a thing of the past.

I've used maxsold a few times now. It is a smooth straight forward process and I have been surprised by the end result each time.

Horrible from auction to after auction. Reps there allowed major damage to be done to floors, walls and hand railings. Claimed they sold over 90% of auction but less than 60% was picked up. Charged $800 no matter what (overly pricey) and after damage gave us a $100 credit. Horrible customer service and definately falsely advertise. AVOID THIS COMPANY

This is a good site. But, like all other online sites, in the back of your mind you are thinking what seller’s are using friends to bid stuff up. I’m not saying anyone is doing this, but I always wonder what precautions the site has in place to check bid histories and see patterns. Anyway, I like maxsold because of the diversity of products.

Love Maxsold auctions. Easy pickup process. Only experienced an issue once in bidding at the end of an auction, when my bid did not take, but it could have been my browser. Better details about items can be improved, but have gotten some great deals.

Sellers beware! MaxSold does not stand by their guarantee for fair market value on goods auctioned. We had high concerns of not having reserves for minimum value, we were told that their exclusive clientele would guarantee market value. It is not true. They can guarantee that the bids will start at $1.00 and be sold at a $1.00.

Examples: Motorcyle sold for 1/4 of market value, Cutler kitchen cabinets sold for 1/8 of market value, an acacia bedroom set sold for 1/4 of market value. Market value being the price deducted for years of use and purchase date.

Think of MaxSold as a garage sale that takes 30% of your sale value. A junk sale place.

Communication with customer service was a little confusing to start with, but after this everything went well. Photo shoot for items was completely handled by staff along with organization of bid categories.
Post-auction was very well organized by staff and all we had to do was verify buyers at pickup and let them load it up.
I would definitely recommend MaxSold for auctions.

I ran a seller managed auction and MaxSold was always quick to respond to any of my questions, including on the day of pickups. I was thankful that MaxSold managed all the payments and pickup schedule and I’m happy with the results of my sale!! I would use them again and refer them to others.

The Mt Hope was a good experience considering the big storm the night before.
It would have been helpful if the drive and sidewalk had been shoveled but I fully understand how that would have been difficult task.

Company communicated very well in person and by electronic means. Cataloging team had the right expertise for the tool categories in my auction. They understand the emotion that goes into selling loved ones treasures.

The sale UI and notifications systems are all very straightforward and easy to use for first-timers while offering sufficient flexibility for experienced sellers to display the best of their goods. The entire process, from contract to pickup report, is extremely simple and there are no hidden legal loopholes or unexpected betrayals of the user.

This is the 3rd time I’ve used MaxSold - which tells you how great the service has been. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a fast, efficient way to downsize.

Auction was well organized and promoted.
Visual displays were excellent and items were clearly identified and described.
