I had an extremely disappointing experience with Marston Events during my graduation, and I feel other graduates should be aware of their pricing practices before booking graduation photos.

The entire photoshoot lasted no more than 5–10 minutes, and the photographer seemed rushed and put very little effort. Despite this, I was told to pay £69, which led me to believe I would receive all of the graduation photos that had been taken as this is what I was told by their team.

Only after paying did I discover that the £69 only covered the download of two digital photos, not all of the images from the session. In total, around 18 photos had been taken, yet I was expected to pay even more if I wanted access to the rest, 69 pounds for every two photos. Ridiculous Pricing.

Charging £69 for just two digital downloads from a photoshoot that lasted only a few minutes is, in my opinion, incredibly poor value. The lack of transparency made the experience feel misleading.

Graduation is a once-in-a-lifetime milestone, and graduates should be able to enjoy the experience without worrying about confusing pricing or unexpected costs after the fact. Clear communication about what customers are actually paying for should be the bare minimum.

Had a great experience had issue while booking but as i talked to there staff member ameily in 1 minute she solved my problem she was so sweet and good at knowing my issue first and resolved it at instantly.Great service 1000000/10 to her.

When I saw my picture on preview was fine low quality but after I paid and downloaded unfortunately disappointed in background irs a peace of the unfolded background I ordered professional pictures for print I believe they will came like this as well it's totally unacceptable I'm unhappy with that with digital one we will se posted ones

Scammers. £9 Delivery and they use Royal Mail 48. Pathetic

I had a really positive experience with Marston Events. The customer care and editing teams were incredibly helpful from start to finish when I requested edits to my graduation photos.

They took the time to listen carefully to all of my concerns and made each amendment with patience and understanding. I never felt rushed or dismissed; instead they were supportive throughout the entire process. Communication was easy and reliable as whenever I reached out by email or phone, I received prompt and thoughtful responses.

What stood out most was their genuine commitment to making sure I was happy with the final result. A special THANK YOU to Clare and the whole team for their care and dedication. I’m very pleased with my photos and would highly recommend them without hesitation!

Claire was absolutely excellent during our graduation photo session. She was a great communicator from start to finish, making everything smooth and stress-free. She attended to my family so well, ensuring everyone felt comfortable and included throughout the shoot. What stood out the most was her calm and reassuring presenc, it really helped create a relaxed atmosphere, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a professional and thoughtful photographer.

I got my graduation pictures taken in winter 2025 and everything was perfect. Neil helped us out, and was very accommodating and professional. Would happily get pictures taken again from him.

We were lucky enough to be sent to Adrian for my stepdaughter’s graduation at the Festival Hall this week. The queues were long and I thought we would be rushed through, but Adrian was so friendly and possessed a calm assertiveness, he made the shoot really enjoyable and organised. What’s more, my husband is 6ft 7in, so most photographers take one look at him and make him stand at the back, but Adrian suggested he sit next to his daughter on the front row, and that strangely felt like something really special for us. We got really lucky with Adrian, as I’d lay bets that not everyone would have done such a good job, as well as doing something that bit different.

Clare Colbran, Customer Care Personnel Lead was EXCEPTIONAL, patient and professional in dealing with my issue. The level of customer support was outstanding and I was kept in the loop every step of the way till I finally received my order after being fobbed off and messed around by every one else there for over a year! My son graduated on 20/07/2023 & on 07/05/2025, thanks to Clare, I can finally “rest” 😊

Honestly the best for photography. We’ve had Dee a couple of times now for my graduation and now for my sister’s graduation and we’ve always left assured our photos would come out perfect. Dee was very understanding about how we wanted the photos to come out and we really enjoy having her as our photographer! Thank you

I had a disappointing experience with Marston Events Photography following my RCOG admission ceremony.

I received an incorrect order after a prolonged wait. The issue was handled poorly, with no apology, responsibility shifted onto me, and a request to return the incorrect photographs without covering return postage.

Despite being an expensive service, the quality and professionalism did not meet reasonable expectations. I would not recommend this company.

Becky at Marston Events graduation & gown hire team is absolutely fantastic! She helped place my graduation order swiftly & efficiently by resolving the technical issue at hand. Excellent customer service skills. Marston Events is lucky to have Becky working for them!!l

Neal took my grandsons graduation photographs at Ulster University in December . He put our whole family at ease right away and we are very pleased with his photographs . Highly recommend this company

We are so grateful to the team at Marston Events for them going of their way to find the clip with my daughter crossing the stage, from among so many graduands, after we had lost our home video and struggled to see our daughter during the ceremony. I am so happy to be able to have it and add it to our good memories of the day, which would not have been possible without your kindness and care. You have made our day and our Christmas holidays. Graduation photo arrived today, the picture was such a bad quality. It's not even worth the money paid. Picture taken on phone is brighter and has better quality.

Had an absolutely fabulous day at my graduation complimented by the brilliant photography team at Marston Events. Before I entered the studios I was greeted with professionalism. Special mention goes out to the salesman( didn’t catch his name) who not only made my life a lot easier with his explanation of the products but also took time out to make my little ones laugh in all the chaos you would expect at a a graduation! which he absolutely didn’t have to but it made my entire day🥺An absolute gem and credit to the company Xx
