If magenta storage in acton were a person, they would be a knight in shining armour. 😀
It’s becoming increasingly rare these days to come across customer service that is acceptable - magenta outshines EVERYONE. The staff there honestly couldn't do any more for me. I needed storage which was a little more complicated than the average hire, and all the staff I spoke to were extremely patient, and talked me through all options. I would recommend magenta to everyone and many of my friends and work colleagues will be using their facilities in the near future

A blissful experience!
The facility is relatively new, is clean and well organised.
The staff are extremely helpful and cheerful, we dealt initially with Kirsty who set up the arrangement for us in a very efficient and speedy way, explained everything clearly and concisely and made it all terribly easy. We later dealt with Abdi who sorted me out with the technology which was beyond my capability, his beaming smile and urgency was infectious.
They are a great team

I honestly very rarely write review but Magenta Storage Oxford have been above and beyond fantastic from the start. The day I moved in, Jamie handled everything and made it all so smooth and efficient, helping me and my dad as we moved in, even though it was a last-minute booking he got everything ready that day. His help and efficiency made life a lot easier. Everyone I’ve dealt with has been polite and courteous, and I’ve especially appreciated the email interactions with Shah, the manager - he’s always attentive, responsive pleasant, and genuinely helpful. Couldn’t ask for a better experience. This place is located incredibly close to Oxford and I think makes your life so much easier as a student storing things!

Very good customer service
Abdi, he's very friendly, very polite and very helpful. I came to check something about my unit and needs to do something with it. He helps me a lot about my enquiries and my needs. I asked about other things and he tried his best to help out, which amazed me and very down to earth. He always tried to find an answer and understand my situation rather than declining me straight away. I felt like I'm a valuable customer as well though I don't have lots or big units in the company.

Abdi was a great help when we arrived…
Abdi was a great help when we arrived with our items for storage and we needed to have the system explained to us. He could have sat behind his desk and told us what to do but he went the extra mile and accompanied us up in the lift and to our storage unit.

Avoid Magenta Storage at all cost— aggressive, misleading, and legally careless.
I was told I had 24-hour access (nowhere mentioned in the contract)—then suddenly they denied it, refused to share the recorded call where it was confirmed, and suggested that I was lying. They terminated my contract with 7 days’ notice, causing me over £5,000 in losses (emergency moving, cancelled work, travel).
Staff were aggressive and dismissive. Asking them to follow their own rules was twisted into a “threat.” They refused to investigate properly, ignored my concerns, and sent emails full of legal inaccuracies.
If you care about fairness, the security for your belongings, and professionalism—stay far away.
UPDATE in response to their reply below:
Magenta continues to speak vaguely about “policy” while refusing to acknowledge that I was explicitly told I had 24-hour access. They still won’t release the call recording that confirms this. Their refund — which they now downplay — only came after legal pressure. No apology. No accountability.
They continue to side with their rude, aggressive call center staff over their clients, claiming she acted “outside her working hours.” If that’s true, why did she answer the company’s official phone line at all? That excuse alone says everything.
This is not how a professional company behaves — and if you read their reply below, you’ll see exactly how careless and dismissive this storage company is. Their reply alone is a red flag to stay away.

Thank you for your review. While we don’t discuss individual customer cases publicly, we’d like to clarify a few general points about our policies.
Our terms and conditions allow for immediate termination in cases involving illegal or environmentally harmful activity, or serious breaches. We also have a duty of care to protect our customers, their belongings, and the building.
This facility offers extended hours access, but not 24-hour access. This policy is in place as a preventative measure to help reduce the risk of inappropriate or unsafe activity. This is clearly communicated during the on-boarding process.
Regarding your comments about a member of our team, We’re sorry to hear you were dissatisfied, especially as our team member went out of her way to assist you outside of both your allocated access hours and her own working hours.
We’re sorry for the outcome, as we genuinely value all of our customers. However, our duty to maintain a safe and secure environment must come first, and we stand by the actions taken in line with that responsibility.

Fantastic Storage Facility – Highly Recommend!
I’m really pleased with my decision to go with Magenta. The location is incredibly convenient—easy to get to and close to the motorway—and the pricing is competitive. Moving everything in was hassle-free, thanks to the variety of trolleys available, which made transporting items of all types much easier. The onsite services, like shredding and boxes, are a great added bonus.
But my main reason for leaving this review is to highlight Helen, who set everything up for me. She has been absolutely amazing—unbelievably accommodating, going above and beyond to help and make the process smooth. She was always available when I needed assistance and was so friendly throughout.
Overall, a great storage facility with outstanding customer service. Highly recommended!

We have plenty of trolleys, cages, sack and pallet trucks to make life easier and hopefully take the stress out of moving home and you were able to make good use of the covered loading bays that kept your goods dry in our very British weather!
Happy to hear you made also made use of our shredding service where important documents are shredded on site and you will receive a certificate of destruction for peace of mind shortly, be assured anything sensitive has been disposed of safely and securely.
Our fully stocked box shop has everything you need for having a sort out with all our boxes being double walled and a 20% discount for all our existing customers is a real bonus !

Unlike other providers, once you choose your location Magenta don't provide you with a quote for storage size but want to harvest your details.
Since they are the end product not a broker putting customers in touch, they have no business doing that. Its not GDPR best practice.
I've been asked by the named firm to provide more details. Gladly.
While they are not alone in the practice of harvesting leads, I went with a storage provider who was up front about the sizes avd prices to expect.
I see no reason why I should provide my details simply to obtain a quote for a standard service and a specific location! That's all I have to add. Thanks!

Once basic details are provided on the website via the "Get a quote" widget then a quote is provided via the web as well as the option to reserve a unit. We collect certain information to find out what your requirements are and as contact details. This information is not shared between sites once an inquiry has been made.
Details that we collect at this stage are standard across the self-storage industry. Magenta takes GDPR seriously so if you have provided any details and want us to GDPR wipe from our system then feel free to contact us at info@magentastorage.co.uk
Prices and sizes are clearly shown once information has been provided via the get a quote link. In addition if a customer does not want to provide this information we have a live chat option as well as the ability to call to discuss.

Spotless units and great staff
Staff were incredibly helpful when I inquired about renting a storage unit for a short term duration. Made the process very quick and easy.
Unit itself was spotless and felt very secure with all the different measures in place. I never needed the 24hour access but it was good to know it was available if needed. When I gave notice to quit, again all handled really professionally and refund processed really quickly.
