Madspeed continue to provide wheels in all sorts of obscure configurations and the wheels are great. Fast service, I have had 3 different sets over the past couple of years and I am really please with them.

Wheels arrived in good time and were packaged very well. The wheels are outstanding and perform extremely well, light, fast and the sound of the hub is great. I fitted these to a full steel cyclocross frame and they make the ride quality unbelievable. Very fast, well built, great price, 100% recommend.

I recently ordered a 650B disc wheel for a mountain bike. I have to say I was very impressed with the quality of the wheel for the money I paid. The freehub and wheel bearings were nice and smooth. The double walled rim is good quality. There was a quality feel about the whole wheel. I would recommend these wheels as an affordable quality wheel for any bike.

I ordered the wheels on a Friday afternoon and they were delivered first thing on Tuesday morning. I got them to replace the wheels that were fitted to the Hybrid I bought in mid 2021 the back one of which gave way as a result of metal fatigue after a little under 8000 miles. I looked at lots of retailers and it seemed that move to boost hubs and through axles is almost complete whereas I needed QR and 100mm/135mm hubs. The wheels I found at Madspeed7 seemed exactly what I wanted and they had good reviews. Before I fitted them I got the technician at my local bike shop to look and give me his opinion which was positive. He also confirmed that the Schwalbe Marathon Plus 38mm I ride on ought to pose no problem for the rims which are slightly narrower than the ones that came fitted on the bike. I have taken the bike out a couple of times since fitting them and not encountered any problems at all, the wheels spin well and true and the free hub is not excessively noisy when free wheeling. I average approx. 3500 miles a year on minor and single track roads with some gravel stretches in the East Midlands. I wanted to feel confident that the wheels I bought would cope with the conditions I encounter and I believe that these will.

This review follows a third purchase of the same set of wheels.
We have two bikes in the household which are in use most days just commuting to work and back. After the manufacturer wheels gave up (Bontrager and Giant wheels) I came across Madspeed.
The 700c wheelset were very low price compared other well known brands so took a punt on them.
The wheels arrive well packaged, with skewers and a couple of spare spokes.
Front wheels for both are still going strong with no issues at all.
The freehub on my rear wheel has given up after 6000Km or riding. At first I noticed some play in the cassette which causing the chain to catch, then the cassette would turn but not the wheel, I assume the pawls in the hub have either broken or are sticking down rather than springing up, when I've more time I may look to replace just the hub but lacking in time and needing the bike daily I've chosen to replace the wheel. At the price they are this is an easy choice for me.
