Absolutely disgusting vets do not attend here!!! I came with my girl for a planned section they explained to come on day 61 of insemination for progesterone test. I did and paid 50 pound for bloods and a Scan was 75. She got sent home saying she was to early and puppies weren't ready. Come back in 48hours. We went back and paid another 50 pound for bloods to be told they were not ready or mom's progesterone wasn't. Fine, we then were told to come back 48 hours again which we did and again were told because of mom's progesterone not lowering she couldn't do surgery bare in mind by now she was full term and puppies were baking... paid for another scan 75 and the scan showed a puppie with lower heart rate it also showed puppies were ready but the vet refused to operate on the progesterone stating the puppies were premature not really listening to me when explained I have factual dates and insemination progesterone knowing she'd actually ovulated two days before insemination making her well overdue now
Anyway they scared me regarding the progesterone level and sent me away for another 24hours only to go back and pay another 50 pound to hear they could not operate even though her progesterone had gone down, I explained that her body is stalling teh labour (which is common in the breed) and she is 68days due. The vet was rude and obnoxious stating I had to pay again when her level had come right down because if they did operate I'd be at risk of premature babies. How can they be premature when she's over due. Anyway I went home again. That night I waited for my girl to come into labour, she never did (as was stall) like I told her it was, after going and getting a second opinion straight away to which they sent her straight in for a emergency section cause the puppy was failing with the low heart beat they'd already recognised and neglected, no premature babies all full term and over due to the point had I left it any longer they would have died...
Despite me repeatedly telling this vet the condition I thought she'd got and the fact the progesterone won't drop enough for labour she spoke to me like I was lying about the dates and treated us disgusting
Receptionist were rude and nurses discuss your buisness infromt of the whole waiting room. There nothing but money grabbing vets who don't care about the animals they have in, they are just after your money over welfare. If it was up to them my girls litter would of been dead on the table!

These vets are nothing but money grabbing leeches. We took a poorly puppy into them in the early hours around 3am. Straight away £250 before they would even look at the puppy then a further £150 for treatment. They wanted to watch the puppy overnight (bearing in mind this is 3am) only to be told that will be another £700.Who has £1300 just so they can treat with a injection and monitor a 3 inch puppy. Absolutely disgusting and no wonder the whole vertinary business is being investigated. They are not interested in saving animals only to get as much money as possible. They would not even let my daughter out of the building to have a vape in a stressful situation until she paid. Shame on as a vets

If you have any dog that begins with bull they will tell you the dog is sick and needs xrays that cost $or have them put down , they do not like the breed and we was told they dont want that breed there. All these 5++ reviews are obviously people that was told if they leave a good review they get £5 discount.... I had 5x puppies here vaccinated 2 of which was due there 2nd vaccine they refused and said dogs was very unhealthy and to put them down .... yet another vets said different

Rude and money grabbing!
Took my dog in for a section two weeks ago, was called back to collect her within the hour.
Today I’ve had issues with one of the puppies and needed the dogs records emailing to my vets before I could book in.
Several phone calls and emails later I just kept getting told it was on a list to get approved by the manager.

When you’ve got a puppy in pain a list isn’t good enough but they’d know that if they were in it for the love of animals and not the money. Should have known better when the manager wouldn’t even let my dog sniff her.

Will never use again and wouldn’t recommend.

All these reviews must be fake. The best most honest vets iv ever been to. I was at Manor vets, they wanted over £800 for a prostate scan. I thought I’ll try elsewhere, the best vet ever I think a Spanish lady does the scan there and then and gives me the medication which worked wonders for less than £100. Been there today with our puppy, weighed and spot on treatment for a month £6. It really is a great vets. Shame on these people making 1 star reviews. Go to manor Vets and that’s shocking

Avoid avoid at all costs
I took my dog and had the in house pet plan was told £36 every 3 months and came out from seeing the nurse and they charged me £79 they charged me 40 for a consultation.
I was told all included so refused to pay gave then the flea and wormer back.
Then phoned spoke to the manager who said all vets charge the consultation fee that is a lie
Be very careful with this so called vets

The owners are really bad money-grabbers, on this particular occasion they tried to charge 300 for amending an appointment!
The staff here are good but they are under tyrannical rule!

Wish I had read the reviews about Local Vets before using them.There is a reason the are very few cars on the car park and one £200,000 car belonging to the owner and that's because they are excessively expensive and happy to pile unnecessary costs onto your bill claiming they are compulsory.I have witnessed them even being rude about customers when they have left. I have contacted RVCS about this vets based in Halesowen. A disgrace.Roll on when price regulations on vets are brought out.

Had a puppy scan at 58 days in my local town . The scanner and us seen 3 pups and we could see the hearts beating , he said there was a minimum 3 and could be more hiding which they couldn't see on the scan . We was recommended, to this place based on price travelled 1.5 hours on a planned csection . 5 days after the puppy scan , the vet women i think her name was rosa was very rude wouldn't answer our questions. I seen her measuring the puppies heads on a pre ultrasound scan before the operation . Left the dog and went to the shops while in the operation then got a phone call saying 1 healthy pup! I was like 1 dont you mean 3 which was confirmed to us 5 days prior they said he will be ready in 40 minutes. I shot back in shock couldnt understand how these puppies just disappeared how can 2 puppies just not exist . I phone the k9 clinic who scanned our dog and they confirmed the amount of pups. After all This the stressed caused is unimaginable. also before going anywhere for a csection get your ultra sound puppy scans recorderd or record with your phone . I wish i had read the reviews before i went

Do not use oldbury local vets the lady on the desk is a nightmare she needs the sac my poor 10 year old daughter had a seizure so we had to cancel the appointment and we re booked for today & she said she didn't re book it she knows exactly what she's doing I want to make a complaint about her but she said no complaints system course there isn't.

Do not use the one in oldbury. They are crooks and very rude staff. Who don't like it when you start to question then and also threaten you with court action for leaving bad reviews. The owner I believe is keeping live puppies and saying they've either died during section or there wasn't that many pups when u knew there was. We was told that our girls pup had died. But I believe their was 2 pups not just 1. The lady on reception the manager was so rude to us when I questioned her. And my poor girl was left in an awful state that we had to being her back due to them leaving the after birth inside her. And we was met again by the awful rude manager who warned us we was lucky they was even gonna see my girl again. This was in front of a room full of people. Sadly we lost my girl due to complications they caused. These people should lose their veterinary licence and be closed down. They only look after their mates and also get their family and mates to put fake reviews on Google reviews. And anyone who writes a bad one the manager or the snotty manager then starts on you with the treats.

Local vets oldbury
Wouldn’t even send my pet goldfish there. Staff are rude including the owners. My dog was scanned for 5 puppies on day 44 - at this point they can’t be absorbed. Left my dog there for her c-section at 5:55pm we had to leave as was out of hours to come back and be told she only had 2 pups. None were dead and there was no sacs inside her. I was then allowed to watch the cctv the following day but was told if I watch it I can not return for any other treatment - absolutely fine because I wasn’t going to anyway. When I waited for 20 minutes to see the CCTV I could only see from 7:15pm-7:45pm but was told this is a 2 and a half hour procedure. When I asked consistently how long does it take to sedate them I was ignored every single time. The owners of this place have their own bulldogs which is why they would keep puppies and KC register them off their own dogs. I strongly believe all the staff are also in on this. Will never be returning again!!!

Don't use Local vets/k9 oldbury theyve messed up my dog caused her to be 100times worst tryed to correct her and told me they will waive bill as goodwill gesture to then try and claim money threw my dogs insurance for a bill i don't owe .. they dont care about your pet just your money AVIOD THEM i have had second vet look at my dog to be told shes been butchered .. this is surgery for a 1cm hernia turned out my dog had internal bleeding and i was told to put a cold rag on it if i would of listened to there advice i dont know what would have happened to my dog.also when my dog was under there supervision she was also feed food she is alergic to keep well away more intrested in money if i could give no stars review i would have.

DO NOT USE Absolute disgrace had to use out of hours as my normal vet was closed they miss diagnosed my dog while she was breast feeding her 7 pups said she had an infection in her boobs mostisis and could no longer Feed litter as she needed medication to strong for pups after charging me £715 I was then at my normal vets following morning who said she only needed help expressing her milk as she was producing more then pups needed was drinking but was NO infection OR ANY SIGN of infection she milked her one boob I was concerned about and it rapidly reduced to its normal size but now still left with she couldn’t feed her pups as she had injection she never needed. Bottle feeding then lead one of my pups becoming really unwell again I used out of hours as my local vets was closed to be told my pup was colic and treated with infacol £365 pup was still doing really bad hour after getting home so went to another vet who told me she had aspirational phenomena and needed putting to sleep as she was really poorly and to late to help her and the previous vet had damaged her throat while emptying her stomach as they believed she was colic and had stomach pains as she was continually crying and showing all signs of fading puppy syndrome out of hours are more interested in how much they can rack your bill to correctly diagnose your pet or show any care or remorse

DO NOT USE THESE VETS!!!!!

Issue one:

Vet would only write a prescription for one month’s supply of medication, despite my dog being on this medication for years! Which meant I then needed to order 3 prescriptions after only one month!!!

Issue two:

Unbeknown to me when I collected the prescriptions on Saturday he had only validated the prescriptions for one month which meant me having to pay the full three months supply of medication x 3 in one go, rather than validating it for the minimum of three months (some vets validate them for six months) in order for the online supplier to send these out in 3 monthly instalments. I rang the surgery to speak to someone about getting the prescription expiry date extended as the amount of money to pay in one go was unachievable for me, but the vet flatly refused!!!! This has demonstrated Local Vet’s motivation of misleading pet owners into thinking you are providing a good value service and that you care about the animals that you see, but in truth its just about how much money you can get out of people! You really should be ashamed of yourselves, especially in these unprecedented time of price increases, but I guess you have taken full advantage of this !

If I had the facility to give 0 star I would!

First time using this vets and honestly the service and communication was amazing it was for an emergency c section for My girl and I couldn't thank them enough thank you so much 💓 for everything! I will definitely be using you again I really cant thank the staff enough for what you have done I was so worried about my girl honestly thank you so much best vets I have used !! Totally recommend

I used innishfree vets sligo for my dogs health needs and never again. They are money grabbers they wanted charged e80 for bloods and e30 for taking bloods. My other dog had a siss he wanted do surgery to remove siss was charging e450.i got a second opinion and Peter bowan in cooloney gave my dog to injections and antibiotics for week siss is gone no need for surgery and only charged e35 all Inc. The owner Anthony in innisfree hung up when I was questioning the fee.never use innisfree again their money grabbers

Quite disappointed in the quality of care and lack of communication. Would not recommend.

We recently had a potential client wanting to make an appointment with his snake. We do not accept snakes as our patients are dogs, cats and pocket pets. When asked where he found this information he sent us to localvets.com. When contacting the company they say there is nothing they can do as it is their sister company CityGrid's deal but when asking for a phone number they don't have it! Best part when told that wasn't very helpful for a POTENTIAL customer she hung up on me!! Who thinks that is customer service. Will NEVER use there services. Now on to search for CityGrid.
